There are a lot of 5 star reviews here, and previously I wouldve been one of them. However, that is no longer the case. Long story short: A car quoted for a 1 day stay was kept for 5 days, and no one on staff could be inconvenienced to communicate with customers outside of normal business hours. Despite the fact that the business closed -during- their normal business hours for their own convenience, and were closed an extra day due to a holiday. Whole story: On 9/1/16, my moms car was left with MSCC for repairs. I was called by Clint (probably the same Clint referenced in another Google review) and given an estimate that evening. Before the "go ahead" was given, I specifically asked if MSCC would be open Friday 09/02/16, because the area was under a Tropical Storm Warning due to Hurricane Hermine. Clint, assuring me that the location would be open and the car ready Friday afternoon, was given the green-light. At 4pm Friday, 2 hours before their closing time, I drove to the location and found everything closed and locked. My mom left a message on their voicemail, and I also used the email address on their website to inquire about the car. I also looked at social media, but their official FB and Twitter sites havent seen activity since 2012. At no point, from Friday evening until Tuesday morning did either of us receive any type of communication from MSCC. Tuesday morning 9/6/16, she retrieved the car and complained about the 5 day loss of a vehicle. The reason she was given was the power went out and they couldnt access the info on their computer so they left early Friday, and that they are closed on weekends. I know that there was a storm, and I know that 9/5/16 was a holiday. But, when youre in possession of something as important as peoples transportation: Wow, that is an unacceptable answer! If customer info is stored off-site, it can be accessed from another computer. If it is stored on-site, the system can be moved to a location with electricity and the info accessed there. At worst, someone could have gone in for a couple of hours on Saturday to at least call customers and keep them updated. This business made no attempt to communicate with customers, they didnt even leave a hand-written sign taped to the inside of their glass doors; I know, because I stopped by on Saturday to look. They also didnt post on their own website, nor did they post on their FB page, about their issues and what customers could expect. If you take your vehicle here, you will probably get decent work at an okay price. But, youd better hope there are no unusual circumstances, as youll be the one left with no idea as to what is going on. This was a horribly handled customer service issue, and was treated dismissively when brought to the attention of the staff. This location will not get more of my business.

5 Stars all the way on this one. We were in Myrtle Beach camping and had another 900 miles on our trip once we left there. we had blown a tire on our camper on our way to MB, in addition to blowing one on the previous trip. At that point I decided we needed to go ahead and get four new tires before we headed into the next leg of our trip. Since we were currently staying in the camper, the only way I could get this done would be on our way out of town. I call Mainstreet Car Care after reading reviews, and explained the situation and spoke to Clint. He indicated they would get right on our tires when we arrived. Not only did they do that, but loaned us a vehicle so we could go get some breakfast while they changed the tires. Service was spectacular and I couldnt be more satisfied. In addition, while changing one of the tires, they found a faulty break on one wheel. They had the right size break in stock, and quickly made the change. Overall, I had four new trailer tires, and one brake replaced and I was in and out in about less than two hours.

I explained to a Mechanic at the facility that the point of engagement on my clutch was getting close to the floor and that I recently had a new clutch put in the vehicle. I continued to explain to him that at the time of the clutch replacement I was advised that I would need a new clutch master cylinder in the near future to help with the tension off the clutch pedal. I asked the mechanic to put a new clutch master cylinder on my vehicle and to let me know if that solves the problem. He called me to come pick the vehicle up and I asked him how the tension was on the pedal. He told me that since I didnt ask him to evaluate the vehicle all he was required to do was put the new clutch master cylinder on the vehicle. He did not take any courtesy in the entire process to evaluate anything with the vehicle personally to help assist me as a customer. This is the worst customer service I have received at an Auto Care Center in the entire history of maintaining my vehicles. I am disgusted at the so called "southern hospitality."

This is the best place ever! Trust worthy, quality guys. I have never had a problem. They are always fast and thorough. Sometimes people tell me this and this guy may do it cheaper but I will gladly pay full price for quality work from these guys. Never over priced and always fair.

Only place I trust now. Very honest and capable with all vehicles. Another company quoted me $2k to fix a work truck and didnt even have the right problem diagnosed...Clint did it for $700 and got the diagnoses correct. Hes busy for a reason.
