After a long day of waiting for a tow truck, I was dropped off at the store with a flat tire and no spare tire. All I needed was a tire plug, which takes about ten minutes to put in. I was rudely told they have no time, and I would have to wait about five hours to even get in. They treated me like I was insane for asking. This was ironic because there were two employees standing around and two cars in the parking lot. They would not even come out and look at the tire. I understand appointments, but give me a break it wasnt my first choice to be stranded at pep boys, and there were barely any people there, so the rudeness and look of insanity was not necessary. The only reason I had to put up with it was because I could not drive my car anywhere. Luckily, a pep boys customer was helpful and said there was a place across the street that could help. The place across the street said if I bring them the tire, they would fix it for me. So I took the tire off, walked across transit road, and in ten minutes the tire was fixed......... I would never take my business here.

Went in as a walk-in to try and get an inspection, was treated rudely and told there was no time. No cars in bays, people standing around. Scheduled an appointment online the next day, was called 5 hours later, after all other shops had closed, and told that they were "overbooked." Also given an attitude as though it was MY fault the website showed availability. Will never try to go there for anything again.

My girlfriend brought her vehicle in to get a basic oil change done, they got mad at her because she forgot the year on her vehicle and was off by like One Model year. They told her "You need to know these things" and slammed the door to go look at her car. They than slapped her with a 35 dollar bill for a basic 3mo/3,000 mile oil change. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone EVER. RIPOFFS!!!!!

Came in for a NYS inspection after living in Michigan for the past year and heading to Vermont for a snowboarding trip. Way overdue. Able to fit me in quickly and get a sticker on the windshield to protect me from those NYS Troopers. Asked if they could check the oil see if it needed to be changed, no need and no other funny business. Always good to find that with a shop in NY.

My wife came into the store thinking she needed new tires because one of her tires went flat. She was told by the guys that they were not in bad shape and the tire that went flat could be fixed. Thank you for taking care of my wife when I could not. Thank you for not selling her something she did not need. When we do need tires we will be back.

I stopped by the lockport PepBoys to have an oil change. the tech found a problem in the suspension system. Doug Capen while very busy worked with my warrenty company and got my car scheduled for work. I am very happy. I would recommend a receptionist for the location as phone calls consumed alot of time. The crew worked efficiently.

Lights on dash came on while visiting from NC. Told mechanic to do whatever was necessary to make vehicle safe...dont even call about costs. Vehicle was returned at cost of $68.00 inspection, wheel balance, oil change. 500 + miles later, Home safely and all lights were out. Thanks!!! Its why I use the Boys.

They mounted and balanced my tires for a fair price and also inspected my car. Didnt have to wait too long and they were polite. They also did not attempt to sell me anything I didnt need which I have found to be common with other chains. All in all Im a happy customer and I will be back. -Chris McDonald

Excellent service! Came in for a NYS inspection on a Sunday holiday weekend. Done in 15 minutes. No attempts to sell me anything I dont need and they even offer a military discount. Very friendly service and cold water bottle to drink while waiting. Ill be back!
