I have taken my 2013 Honda Civic to Tao Auto in Cary twice for an oil change and tire rotation, and I believe that theyll be my last. Both times, I came home with a new sound on my car. The first time I came back from Tao Auto, the passenger, rear side squeaked whenever I applied the brakes (they assured me that my break pads and break shoes were fine). The second time I came back from Tao Auto, the driver, front side made loud rattling noises whenever I accelerate the car. When these issues were brought to attention, the mechanic at Tao Auto advised me that "it sounds normal" to him. While I agree that its probably is OK for me to drive my car in this condition, the fact is that they have introduced 2 new sounds that were not existent before they performed the standard maintenance procedures. I do not feel comfortable with the quality of their work nor their lack of attention to detail. I am, however, giving them a 2 star instead of 1 since it appears as though the oil has been changed.

I took my Honda to a nearby competitor. They told me that I needed to replace suspension in the rear of the vehicle, and that it would cost me over 1K (on a car with less than 50K miles, give me a break what BS). Then I took it to Tao, and told them what the other shop told me. They took a look, told me the wheels needed to be rebalanced. That was done for less than $50 bucks. I have no idea why people are complaining about customer service. If you want wi-fi and cappuccinos go to the dealership and pay with your first born. I want honest quality work, and these guys deliver on both.

I am thrilled with their customer service!! I called to inquire about taking my moms car there for an unknown electrical problem. They were extremely personable and upfront in regards to not being able to see it right away. I spoke with two different people and the second person knew exactly who I was when I called back. We dropped off the car and the were able to work on it earlier. My mom cannot drive after dark so it was arranged (for a small fee) to have them deliver to her. Each interaction was met with professionalism and kindness and their fee was very reasonable. Thank you!!!!

They only do oil changes 5 hours per week and you cant make an appointment. Everyone there with me was also getting an oil change, and every single one was also told that they had an urgent, expensive, necessary repair. One was told that the dealership put the "wrong brand" of manufacturer recommend spark plugs. To repair the "engine damage" will be $1600. Another person was told $680 to DIAGNOSE a "possible" leak, that doesnt include the repair or any evidence of a leak.

Excellent Service. I took my car to Colony Tire last Monday. Spent a lot of money and the problem wasnt fixed. Had to have my car towed on Tuesday. I had my Honda towed to Tao Auto of Cary. William took the time to explain, in detail, the problem and offer options. No pressure at all. The shop provided transportation to and from my work. One of the drivers, Robert Owen, really made my day...he was very personable. Thank you Tao Auto of Cary!

Highly recommend you take your car here for service, good, local shop with people who do everything they can and MORE to help you get the most out of your car! Great service, very upfront and very honest about the repairs your car does or doesnt need. I have used them for 3 different Hondas over the last 15 years. My ONLY complaint would be the NASTY, NASTY cigarette smoking office. It bothers me to walk into the place to drop off my keys. If they would fix this, I would rate them 6 out of 5 stars. Take your smoke breaks out back and decontaminate that front office!

Appreciate their honestly. Took my Toyota to Tao auto due to blinking air conditioning light (non-working air conditioning). They identified the problem and fixed it without having to drain the refrigerant and refilling it. They could have easily done that, charged me for it, and I would have never known that it was unnecessary (and I know of other car repair places that would have done exactly that).

TAO in Cary has always been extremely reliable, trustworthy and honest. When looking at cars I only consider makes that they will service (Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Acura). I dont want to deal with anyone else. If you own a vehicle that is one of the makes they service you need to put these guys at the top of the list the next time you need service. They will serve you well.

Several years ago, I dropped off a 1997 Avalon with 190,000 miles that was handling poorly. I told the mechanic to do what ever was necessary to make the car handle well - new struts, whatever. When I retuned expecting a bill possibly in the $2,000 range, mechanic said " no charge, you need better tires." An honest shop! Theyve had my business since.

Very good, fairly priced service which is hard to find. Many folks have recommended bringing their cars here. Just ran into an acquaintance the other day who said theyve been using Tao for years ever since their Honda was a baby. Samantha at the front desk offers great customer service which is even harder to find particularly in the auto industry.

Could not and would not resolve my check engine light. Charged $168.00 for a smoke test and $35.00 for a fuel cap with no resolution. Instead of providing a solution to my problem, the mechanic stated I should get rid of my 99 Honda accord, which by the way runs great. I will not be returning. Mr. Tire resolved my issue in 1 day.

Have used the Cary TAO Auto location for about 5 years. They are 100% honest and trustworthy. I would not bring my Honda any where else. They do both major work (head gasket replacement on my 95 civic) to regular oil changes. Their prices are very fair and have not recommend any unnecessary repairs. Highly recommended.

Weve taken our Acura, Toyotas, and now Lexus to Tao. Great service, great work, and fair prices every time. We like Tao so much, it heavily influences our car purchases. Even when there are other cars were considering, we lean toward the Honda/Toyota families just so we can continue to use Tao.

Have taken Honda Odyssey Van to Tao Auto in Cary. Samantha and folks at Tao provide an excellent service. They will listen to your car problem and will work towards a solution which will fit your needs. Would definitely take the car again and would recommend anyone to Tao Auto. Thumbs up!

Ive been to these guys 4 times and I trust them. They have recommended against work that Honda dealerships have advised and Tao has given me understandable explanations about why not to do the work. They are willing to explain why work needs to be done and when work can be delayed.
