My Heating & A/C system was the original when the house was built approx 13 years ago. Another company came out to do a seasonal inspection & told me all the freon had leaked out. My options were to try and find the leak on a 13 year old system or purchase a new system. I asked Wacamaw Heating & Cooling to give me a second opinion & estimate for a new system. I received an email from the first company for a new system ( about $5600). David (Wacamaws sales rep) came to my house for about two hours & inspected the duct work & all vents. He made recommendations & sat down to advise the systems & their efficiency ratings which was extremely helpful in making our decision to install an 18V 4 ton system. The cost was considerably more than the first company however incentives & Wacamaws partnership with Santee Cooper made our decision much easier. We had a new Trane system installed about two weeks ago & could not have been more pleased. All of the Techs were pleasant & respecful of our home. I would HIGHLY recommend this company even though they may be slightly more expensive, the people & techs are the best Ive ever dealt with.

This was my first experience with Waccamaw Heating & Cooling. Whitney was very accommodating in setting up an appointment quickly and at a convenient time. Scott arrived promptly at the scheduled time and immediately started to perform the spring tune-up on our heat pump system. He started with the air handler in the attic and, when he finished, told me his findings. I had developed serious doubts about the quality of the HVAC installation last year by another company (due to service issues with them), but Scott assured me that the quality was actually exceptionally good. He showed me several photos he had taken of the installation and pointed out the excellent workmanship. He then evaluated the condenser and informed me that there was a kink in the suction line, but it did not present a problem. He performed all work promptly and in a professional manner. I’m relieved to know that I have a quality system with an excellent rating. Right after Scott left, I received a PDF tune-up report in my email. I highly recommend Waccamaw Heating & Cooling.

We had to replace our 20-year-old heat and air system Waccamaw had been servicing the system the past few years, so we contacted them first. The salesmen came to the house and gave us a no pressure quote with several options for replacement of the unit. We had set up a date for replacement, and the old unit went completely out before time for them to do the replacement. When we contacted Waccamaw, they moved us up on the schedule, so the work was completed in one day. We are very pleased with the new Trane unit as it runs very quiet and cools well. The old unit it was located outside the bedroom window, and it would wake you up every time it came on. This new unit is in the same place but is so quite you dont know it is running. We were well satisfied with Trane and Waccamaws services.

When my a/c went out in 90 degree weather I called 6 Trane dealers 3 responded only two came out that day. Waccamaw was pretty far away from me - but they came the same day and told me what I needed and what it would cost with a warrenty. The same the other dealer would do but without a warrenty! Then they where so helpful in finding the right size and putting it in the next day. You can believe in Waccamaw Heating and Cooling and they do what they say with a smile. Thank you

Original installation was done well. The crew behaved in a professional manner and cleaned up after themselves, which I always appreciate. Follow up was needed once for a problem (bad thermostat unit) and it was handed promptly. The technicians who come for routine service and maintenance are equally professional in their behavior. We have been pleased with the product, its functioning in our home, and the people responsible for it. I would absolutely recommend this company.
