This was the worse experience with a dry cleaners I have ever had! The first time I went I was quoted one price but once I returned the owner told me I was given the wrong price so he just did not charge me the tax. I did not argue since the cleaners is walking distance from my home and had great reviews...big mistake! I only returned the second time to show the owner that there were 2 rips in the comforter and there were wires that were pulled out of the ruffled flowers after they "cleaned" it. They ruined my white comforter by sending it to alterations, which took a week for them to place two butyon patches on top of the rips, which is the exact opposite of how he told me he would fix it. Then owner told me that Im not appreciative of him trying to fix the mistake and the 8 bucks he had to spend. Nevermind the 35 dollars I spent for him to ruin my comforter! I was going to go to court over this but my credit card offers insurance on the purchase so I was able to get a new comforter. If it is expensive or delicate please take your garments somewhere else! Those positive reviews were from many years ago and what seems to have been better management!

They take pride in their work. I am a new customer in the area and took 15 items to them, including mens suits and at least three skirts that were delicate with bead detailing. Upon entering, I noticed they do the dry cleaning and pressing right there on site, instead of subcontracting and shipping it all off to some unknown location. I could watch the workers in action, and realized that not only am I supporting the local economy through a local businessman, but the workers he had employed. The owner and what seems to be his wife are very professional and polite and did try to explain what goes into the cleaning and pressing of each item when I had questions on some that were more expensive. Yes, dry cleaning sensitive or delicate items or many items can be expensive, but the day to day dry cleaning was decently priced, and I believe that the charges for all items reflected the time they spent on it. When I returned to pick up my items, I was pleased with the results and will use them again in the future.

Best dry cleaners in town! Ive been a customer at Newport Cleaners for over 10 years and their quality and service toward customers are phenomenal. Michael and Joannie are the owners and they welcome you and treat you like family. I finally decided to write a review after my daughter took her wedding dress to be cleaned at a place in Charlotte and they absolutely ruined it. I took the dress to Newport Cleaners and they took all the spots out and pressed it ready for the wedding. Aside from wedding dresses, I visit them every week with a loadfull of laundry and its all nice and better looking than before. I wouldnt go anywhere else!!
