Terrible customer service even as government offices are concerned. Went in during a slow time and was only patron in the office(very rare for this location) purchased and mailed a set rate box. Went to car and realized something had slipped out of the envelope that I placed in the box and went directly back in and right up to the counter and same attendant. told him of my dilema and asked if he could retrieve my box so I could place the missed item inside before mailing. (I could still see my box in the bin beside him) He rudely refused stating that that box was now property of the US Postal Service(oooh big important machine!) and that fi I wanted I could purchase another $5 box to send the additional item. (very small item weight inconsequencial) I purchase another box after realizing unbelievably that he wasnt kidding. Tried to imagine how differently I would have been treated at UPS or Fed Ex both private businesses where customer service matters. And the overpaid flunkies wonder why they are sucking wind and need to keep raising postage to cover their outdated infrastructure? The reason people dont use the postal service is that there is no service. Tired of overpaid, over pensioned lazy government employees with attitude and not a clue about business. No more US postal service for this consumer who votes with his dollars. Would rather pay more to avoid long lines and idiot employees in an antiquated business model that was likely better as the pony express.

1st I do not go to ANY U.S. post office for anything. I use the UPS store for mailing and stamps. Its great with no or little waiting. 2nd I hate going to this post office in particular. There is most always a line of other harried postal customers that runs around the entire wall. I only go there if I absolutely have to. I buy items on-line and sometimes I have to go there to sign for something. That slip of paper in my mailbox telling me of an attempted delivery is like a court summons. It means I HAVE to go to the POST OFFICE. Oh Sheeesh! Then I go there and face a long line and at at the busiest time of day there are 4 windows and only 2 clerks Wouldnt something like an express lane for those who only want to pick up a package be a good idea? Also wouldnt 4 clerks for the busiest times like 3pm-5pm be a good idea?

We have the worse mail delivery service here in Hemmingwood. Over and over I have dealt with re-delivering the mail to other people in the area. It is just terrible here. Some time ago they had to leave a man go for opening outgoing mail and disposing of it down the road. This delivery system is just unacceptable. I wish they would outsource the delivery to some private organization and pay their people on Pay for Performance. My carriers here? I would not hire them for anything. If I saw them at a drive up window at a fast food restaurant? I would move on without paying. I just had my new neighbors (2 weeks) deliver my mail to me. She said she had to deliver the mail to the man next door to me 4 times in the past 2 weeks. What is wrong with this picture

I have a PO Box at this location and Ive dealt with an employee there named Katie Wagner on four separate occasions. Every time she has been helpful, quick and efficient. a couple weeks ago I had a "Return Receipt Requested" come back with no signature. She looked it up in the system and found out who accepted the letter and when it was accepted and gave me a copy of the record. Today she made sure I would get all my mail in my PO Box by changing the names on it for me. (Some of my mail was being returned as undeliverable for some reason. Postal workers can be some of the least efficient, but Katie has always been right there. Great customer service. More postal employees might try to emulate her - it would go a long way toward their public relations.

The certified mail I sent was never delivered. There have been zero updates available since the letter arrived at this Brentwood Post Office. Ive never been able to reach anyone via phone in my many attempts to contact this office. I filed a complaint with USPS and a supervisor from another post office who has been assisting me for the past three weeks still cant reach this office to get an update. I advise using FedEx or any other shipping provider, especially for sending important documents that you might otherwise send Certified Mail. USPS lost me as a customer because of the incomparable negligence and lack of customer service provided by this branch.

Ignoring the phone problem, calling for an hour on auto-redial with zero response, this office defines incompetent. Setup a change of address over a month ago and have received zero items. Had a trackable package get denied for wrong address. Scanned back in to reroute, and then put back on the truck for delivery to the same / wrong address. Sure USPS has issues now and then, but this office should be closed down while they fire everyone and hire an entirely new staff. ONE person is all it takes to answer a phone. You know, the little thing on the desk or wall that makes that wierd bell sound. Its a tel-a-phone. An-swer it.

7:30 p.m. still waiting for my mail. I have been to the box twice since 5 p.m. This is not the 1st time. I left a note in the box asking if he could give me a time my mail would be delivered daily and the answer was: I wish I knew. Sorry. I have called to complain but they will not answer the phone...EVER! I put it on speaker one day and let it ring for 30 minutes finally someone picked up and hung up. I have gone up there to complain but the line is so long and so slow that I eventually had to leave. Does anybody within the postal service read these???

Good luck getting these guys to answer the phone. I confirmed that the number Google has is correct, but if they have a single person in the store they wont pick up the phone even to put you on hold. Makes getting an appointment for a passport difficult. The appointment rule isnt flexible, by the way. I had my form completed, my photos printed, and my proof of ID ready, and based on my wait time, should have taken about 1/4 of the time other customers required. No reasoning with them, and the next available appointment was a month in the future.

I have been trying to reach the Brentwood post office for the past 3 business days and today have called them back to back for the past 2 hours (10am-12pm) with no answer. It will ring 20+ times and then hangs up. I call right back and get the same issue. Reading reviews this is not a one time or one person issue. I wish there was a way I knew to report this besides Google. I needed answers that I would like to have taken care of close to my work office. I have had to now revert to another location that is 20 min away. Not happy at all.
