Quite literally the worst car buying experience to date. I worked with this guy named Steve S. Absolutely miserable customer service through out. Basically sold the car to myself. Called from Charlotte NC seeking a harder to find golf R. Long story short Steve made me feel as if I was a HUGE inconvenience for wanting more information on the vehicle. When asked to find out more information on the details of Car Net I was told "Mike, youre not my only customer, Ill have someone that knows more about it talk to you when you get here" 2 and a half hour drive later I arrive to a frowning older man at the door way greeted with "you must be mike " in which the rest my in person experience with Wallace auto continued to get worse. Attitude over a scratch on this NEW car that I wanted taken care of. Such a Hassel to bring my car across the parking lot. Boo hoo. So sorry I made this sale insanely easy for you. Spoke to the manager, you know him as the dude in the tuxedo on the website. Told him about my experience in which I was met with little remorse, a blank look with no offer to make anything right. I took my bad experience and threw it away hoping id never have to deal with them again being from charlotte and all. But of course the disappointment continues, after more then a month Im still waiting for my plate. Steve claims it was delayed due to the holiday. Not sure any holiday would cause a 30 day plate to be outdated by a week. Learn from my experience. Avoid Wallace auto. Will be making a formal complaint with vw corporate following this review. If you are forced to buy from them Justin A. Is the only guy to work with.

We looked at used 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle about four weekends ago and returned two weeks later ready to do business. We were serious and ready to buy. The car needed a few things, but was in pretty good condition. I told the salesman of where we wanted to be in the car minus the repairs it needed. He laughed at me! To my face, he asked me if I just "imagined" the number or how I thought I could come up with this asking price. The car was way overpriced even after they took $1,000 off of it. I showed him three local adds of cars close by that were equipped the same with around the same mileage. One of these cars was less than 20 miles down the road, two years newer with less mileage and started at $2,000 less than their original asking price. When I showed him this he asked me "why dont you just go get that one then?" I responded with "in 2012 I purchased a brand new $32,000 2012 Beetle Turbo from your Johnson City Volkswagen lot and had a great experience. I wanted to come back to Wallace with the chance of you earning my business again." At that point he shook mine and my partners hand, told us that we were in two different worlds and excused us. This was far from my first time purchasing a car, but this is the first time Ive been treated so poorly at a dealer. I will never be visiting their car lot again. New or used. (I love Volkswagen and I have owned several. Two New Beetles, one Beetle Turbo, one GTI, two Touaregs and a 1960 Beetle. So its not my first time pricing and dealing with Volkswagens.

I had an amazing experience! I am so glad I came to Wallace of Bristol! I knew I wanted either a Jetta or a Passat. I went inside and met Andrew who was extremely helpful. He took me outside and provided valuable information in a friendly manner without being pushy in and way. I really appreciated that. We then went in to check to see what I qualified for and then Andrew showed me to the car he knew I would want and he was right on. We test drove a 2013 Passat Wolfsburg edition and I immediately knew I wanted it, but was concerned I might not be able to afford the monthly payments. Andrew worked with his supervisor and they were very gracious to work with me and offer me a payment program that was in my budget. I left within no time driving the car I wanted! I strongly recommend Wallace of Bristol for anyone. I guarantee you wont be disappointed and ask for Andrew! Hes the man!

I just left the used car lot with the keys to my new 99 4Runner! Nelson Shortt sold it to me. He was excellent! I live in Atlanta and I found the car online. I took a risk putting a down payment on it over the phone sight unseen. Nelson was honest with me about the clear coat paint peeling off on the hood and a small dent that werent visible to me in the photos that the dealership had on their site. I really appreciated his honesty. I got a great deal and I cant thank him enough! He was also nice enough to hold the car there with a down payment for a couple weeks before I came to get it. I already had a trip to Virginia planned and the dealership was on the way there. They are also allowing me to leave it at the dealership and pick it up on Sunday on the way back home when they are closed. Great service!

Just a bought my second VW from Wallace VW of Bristol. A 2015 VW Passat SE and I cant speak highly enough of their entire team(GM, Sales Manager, Finance Manager, Sales Staff, Service Department). They went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I wanted at a price that was fair for both parties. After a week in the car and 1000 miles I cant wait to get back in it. First purchase was 2011 Jetta SEL. After 160,000 miles it still runs as good as the day I got it. No issues at all with the Jetta and their service department goes out of their way to make sure your needs are met and your car is professionally serviced. I highly recommend VW products and Wallace VW of Bristol. Best in the region!

The service and parts department are bery dedicated to their customers. I was on a road trip from Austin, TX to Boston, MA. 40 miles from Bristol, my air compressor siezed and caused my battery light to come on. I called in just before 5pm. A few of the guys agreed to stay late (Steve, the service manager, Glen, Rick the parts manager came back from going home) and we luckily managed to make it the distance. While they didnt have the parts, a local parts store did and these guys worked to get us back on the road before 6:30! Absolutely amazing team and I am extremely appreciative of their customer focus. I have only purchased VW vehicles and this customer ethic is a big part of why. Thank you, guys!

Typical car dealer. Low ball on trade, dont call you back as promised and a bad attitude. I asked for their own advertised price and I had to prove where I got the price. Of course I was told that their VW was such a great deal that I couldnt get a fair market trade in price for my car. And then of course I got the old, "thats the problem with the Internet" speech. Blackbook prices are pretty much the same everywhere. Oh, and make sure that you call Steve on his cellphone when you have to track him down for not calling you back. He doesnt appreciate being called on the dealer company phone for some reason. Im sure their new building will have a sales tower as they all did in the 90s.
