Terrible business practice. I spoke with a mechanic (Stan). My soldier went there to get his brakes done.( Brakes pads front and back, all four rotors). after a mile down the road the rear caliper was stuck out and was smoking burning up the back tire. The shop said they would replace his caliper. Of course they will full price. Why didnt they test it in the first place? sounds pretty conveinent. on another note. my soldier is an E-2 brand new to the Army. He arrived in uniform to drop off his vehicle and was in uniform when he paid for services. He was not given a military discount. Because KAM automotive will only offer this discount if the service member asks for it. REALLY! I asked why wouldnt you just offer a soldier in uniform his military discount. (Stan said we do enough for the military if they want a discount they have to ask for it.) Per the owner Jeff Cash. So it seems we as service members dont do enough for Jeff Cash to just be offered a discount when we arrive at his establishment in uniform. But Jeff Cash (KAM Automotive does enough for us service members) Who is the guy that determines what is enough? My advice, There are alot of mechanics in the area. If your a Soldier or you support the troops. Go to a place where your honored enough to offered a military discount. Places of business that have the policy that you have to ask for a discount should be ashamed. These businesses didnt ask the Soldiers to lay down thier lives, make huge sacrifices daily, spend months away from their loved ones. Soldiers offered this service without anyone asking for it. Business should do the same offer it without having to ask for it. ESPECIALLY if we are in uniform inside your establishment.

Finally a straight answer from a mechanic. I went to KAM Automotive to get a third opinion on my Nissan frontier that had 2 codes on it. One was for the knock sensor and the other was an EVAP code. I had 2 other mechanics check those codes and one said it would cost me around $900 to replace the knock sensor and the other mechanic said it was a faulty ground, but the code came back the next day. Both mechanics wanted to do a smoke test to check for the reason behind the evap code. I was recommended to check KAM out. I ended up talking with 3 different mechanics there, (Troy, Dave, and another guy) and they were all professional and courteous. I told them about the knock sensor issue and I was glad to hear that its a common problem in 03 Nissan frontiers and xterras and it doesnt cause issues with the truck, which is right because the code has been there for close to 8mos. I still dropped it off for them to take a look at it and they said the evap code isnt causing any problems either and explained to me thoroughly why it doesnt. After all that they said it was free of charge.

Will always go back to Kam! We had our car at Firestone getting the brakes done. We had been hearing a rattle so we asked them if they knew what it was. They said it was in exhaust and sent us to Meineke. Meineke said was was not the exhaust and didnt know what it was. So we decided to take it to the Subaru dealer, since they specialize in Subarus. They told us it was the exhaust and the caskets. They told us it would cost $4100! Our car is not even worth that anymore. I am sure they were just trying to get us to trade it in for a new one. We knew something was fishy, so we took it to Kam Automotive. He did a complete check, tested everything--found nothing wrong other than a lose screw causing a rattle. He fixed it and charged us nothing. He could have easily made something up and charged us a bunch of money to fix the rattle. He has earned our trust and we will be taking our cars there from here one out.

If I could give this shop zero stars, they would get just that. They told me they would do an inspection on my brake system. I had the brake work done and not even 5 hours later my brakes were smoking. I immediatly contacted the shop, which all they had to say was we can look at it and fix one other thing they thought was wrong. They wanted to charge me the same amount in labor whcich I just paided them and for the part. When I go to a auto shop I want an expert not a rip off.

My wife took our truck there because the transmission messed up. They called and kept her updated on what was going on and contacted the insurance. They were friendly and did not take weeks to fix. They are having her bring the truck back in a couple weeks after some miles are put on so they can check and make sure everything is still good which I dont know any other mechanic places that do a follow up like that.

Heard only good things. And also just because your in uniform doesnt mean your entitled to a discount. Im stationed at Campbell. Most businesses around here wont offer a discount simply because they would lose money. Simple as that. And another thing nobody is entitled to anything. Thats whats wrong with this generation. My 2 pennies

Thought they were great, but if youre not a friend or a regular they dont care. Called for a quote on my water pump and dropped a name I received a quote over the phone. Called another time about my breaks and was told "if youre looking for a cheap price I cant help you, I dont do quotes over the phone" and was hung up on.

Have an 07 ford explorer, transmission blew on me and they were able to find me a good used one for a great price, replaced the whole tranny within 2 days of ordering it and threw in a warranty with free parts and labor. Definitely a shop a I trust and will go back to.

Dont go here. They wont honor warranty, their warranty. They put in a gas tank improperly and they wouldnt do anything to recoup when they crushed fuel lines. Dont be fooled.

They keep it clear and simple. You dont like what they say, move on or get over it. They walk you through for you to understand what theyre doing to your vehicle. Nice people!
