Sara and Vaden just finished a beautiful cottage for us. It is pretty near perfect as far as we are concerned. I can honestly say there isnt anything I would change. We showed them a picture of what we wanted it to look like on the outside and it does! We showed them a combination of two plans that we wanted it to look like on the inside and it does! If they needed a decision from us on something and we werent sure, we ask for their recommendation and it was a homerun every time. They provided great value, on time and on budget which allowed us to add a few extras that has made the house magazine worthy (in our opinion). They took all the stress out of the process which made it a great experience. All the subs they used were professional, courteous, respectful of our property and home and did quality work. A big, big plus for me was that Vaden kept in constant communication with us about the schedule of work and when each phase would be finished. I always looked forward to his phone calls because they were almost always about progress and rarely about a problem. We walked through the house the afternoon after they installed the insulation and, even though the windows and doors were yet to be installed, we made the comment that this was going to be the most well insulated house we had ever lived in and it is. Sara and Vaden work together as a team giving us the benefit of both their expertise. When anyone asks me about how the house turned out, my reply is always the same, "It turned out better than I could have ever imagined!" We dont consider Sara and Vaden business, we consider them lifelong friends!

Our house is around 3 years old and I can confidently say I would never purchase from NCH ever again. Since we have owned our house, our crawl space has had serious problems with flooding thus causing our heater to short out periodically. NCH finally raised our heater, solving the symptom, but not the actual problem. The gutters are way too small for the house causing water to spill over when it rains which means you will have to wash your eaves and gutters every year. Two of our lights that are on 3 way switches do not work properly so they need to be rewired. Fuses were done in such a fashion so that you will regularly have to reset them. One of our showers leaks. We have had to work on two faucets, one the kitchen faucet and the other a shower faucet. The caulk along the kitchen counter had to be redone and so did the caulk around one of the vanities in our bathroom. The sweeps for your doors do not hold out water and if they are ever exposed to heavy rains, you will want to replace them since they will leak. If you have a covered porch, your front door may be fine, but then youll want to fix your back door. NCH also uses the mansfield system on the toilets. It will fail within two years. I know, because I had to replace the guts on both of our toilets within a span of 6 months. Honestly, if you want a brand new fix er upper right out of the box, then purchase from NCH. I have put in way too much work on a house that is 3 years old... You may want to look elsewhere.

My husband and I have built and remodeled several homes in the past. The Northcutts just finished a beautiful, new home for us and a barn remodel. We can safely say that we have never had such a smooth and fun experience! Vayden and Sarah are a great team. If you tell them what you want, they will find a way to make it happen! When problems arise, as they do in all building projects, they are addressed immediately. The Northcutts are positive, professional, and focused on quality down to the last detail. Furthermore, they have long standing relationships with their subcontractors, all of whom were wonderful to work with as well. If we ever build another home, we would consider ourselves lucky to have Vayden and Sarah lead the team again!
