Cliff and Jen are an awesome team with heaps of knowledge and experience to offer in many different fields. I took their PDC, Agroforestry, and Earthworks courses this past fall as well as interning for two months. They offer very hands on training in homesteading, permaculture, and animal husbandry. They also have lots of quality guest instructors coming in throughout the course. Their property is in a beautiful and secluded location out in the hills of Tennessee with lots of great hikes, swimming holes, and wildlife. The Spiral Ridge PDC wasnt just a design course, it felt like a big family gathering. It was not just about downloading technical information, it was also about reconnecting to the earth, slowing down, forming relationships, and remembering why you are out there. From morning coffee to the night time bonfires, each day was unique and filled with new adventures and priceless information. Take their course!!

This is a truly amazing family doing a great service for Permaculture. They share their mistakes, their successes and skills in the realist and simplest way possible. Their landscape is superbly designed and is a great model for function, accessibility, infrastructure, and best of all water catchment. It was an absolute pleasure to take their PDC and I am very grateful to have crossed paths with this family. Thank you and I look forward to coming back soon!

Great place to sleep under the stars, stay warm the fire and experience a sustainable/intentional lifestyle. If you find yourself with the chance to eat some of their wholesome meals dont pass it up! Their coursework is top notch as well. Cliff and Jen are knowledgeable, experienced and personable. Their PDC impacted me greatly. I highly recommend their workshops to all ages.
