I really liked this place the first time I went, and thought that I had found a mens salon that was a little more selective in their hiring than a place like sport clips, but after going here for a few months, I have decided this is really just sport clips that you can make appointments at, and get a "free" drink. The staff is friendly enough, but I have found bad haircuts like uneven neckline/sideburns, missed spots, etc, to be just as prevalent here as they are at more "low end" places. It is certainly more convenient with appointments, and a far more relaxing environment, but that seems to be where your money is going, rather than to more competent stylists. At more than twice the price of a place like sport clips, I will likely only go here if I need an appointment, or dont wish to sit in a waiting room of cattle.

I convinced my beloved, Tim, to try the Boardroom. He had a phenomenal experience! The Front Desk attendant was curious and gracious. Not only was Tim pampered in the most masculine way, but I as a "tag a long" for the day was treated with equivalent hospitality. Julie, Tims now forever stylist, asked multiple questions to make sure she understood Tims needs (and more importantly mine ;-) ). Tim received a great, clean, tight hair cut, of which he hadnt had in months; a wonderful, relaxing facial and head massage; all while his hands soaked in paraffin wax to soften those callused lifting hands. Now that he is an Executive Member, he can enjoy these services when ever he wants for a year! Thank you Julie for such an enjoyable experience for both of us!

First class experience designed for executives looking for an escape. You are greeted by Jazs lavender voice asking for your preference on a wide selection of complimentary brews. While you wait (if you wait) you can play chess, pool or watch tv. My certified hair stylist, Angelica, is freaking drop dead gorgeous with a matching easy to talk to personality. With over 10 years of experience, Angelica understands your hair vision and sculpts with precision. After it is perfect, you are shampooed and conditioned followed by top of the line hair product to ensure you leave looking like a bad ass. After my first cut I knew I wouldnt go anywhere else. I loved the whole experience and cant wait till my hair grows out so I can go back.

I had my first ever haircut at the Boardroom in Allen this morning. I was super excited to go because of the amazing reviews and the pictures of the luxurious salon. When I walked in I was greeted and offered a drink on the house which was nice while I waited for my stylish. I was really hoping she would help me with hairstyles and she did a good job about it, showing me on the phone and that was great. The haircut overall was a good process. But a few hours when I got home, I noticed almost about 1/3 of my left eyebrow was taken off. Very disappointed in this as its not going to grow back super fast and I have a professional job I need to do. I wouldve suggested for other people to go, but not anymore.

Took me a while to get around to this review... But I very much enjoyed my experience in Allens Boardroom. This wasnt the first one Ive ever been too, but this was by far the best. A new lady (whos name slips my mind at the moment), who was from Bulgaria, cut my hair that evening and she was fantastic. She was very calm and collected through out and was a lot of fun to talk too. Even gave her a nice tip as well. The manager made sure that my experience was just fine, and I was even given a discount because of the trainee. Overall, the women working there made me feel welcome, the haircut was very much to my liking, and it was all done in a professional manner! 5/5 stars!

Booked a Beard & Moustache trim online for 10:45 on a Wednesday. Wanted to look my best for a very important meeting at 11:30. Arrived promptly, no record of my booking, front desk wasnt sure I had successfully booked it online, when I told her the name of the individual I was to see she said she was completely booked. Offered to get me into the Plano/Legacy room, couldnt make that trip and be on-time. Frustrating, I was looking forward to my first appointment here. Not sure if Ill try again. FYI, just signing up on email should have prompted a return email let alone actually booking an appointment online. Thanks....

I cannot recommend this place. I tried it once. Nice corporate decor, even a pool table. So looks to me like: Big on gimmick factor, but a good haircut?--not so much. I dont mind paying $40+ for a good haircut, but my haircut was well below average. My stylist came across as inexperienced with high end clientele, probably lots of experience at cheapo salons (which I avoid), & frankly did not appear that interested in servicing me. Where can you get a consistently good $40-50 mens haircut around here??? I guess Ill have to try T&G again.

I have been going here for almost a year now. All in all the people are great. Friendly, attentive and good with customers. I wont comment on haircuts in general, because I have only let one girl cut my hair. Shout out for Kandi! As to the other stylists, I see a lot of the same faces, so these people must be satisfied as well. If you are a person that is looking for cheap haircut, this isnt the place. But if you like a clean establishment and a consistent haircut and dont mind paying a premium, this is the place for you.

Feb. 2017 was my first visit to The Boardroom Salon at Waters Creek. I was treated very well by some special people from the front desk (Ashley) to the Stylist (Valerie). It felt like a welcoming, comfortable, and professional environment from the moment I walked in the door. With The Benchmark I received a super haircut along with a spa like treatment and a helpful consultation explaining how to use the hair product (Sumotech). It truly was the best all around haircut experience Ive ever had! Gregg H

This was a fantastic experience! At first I was concerned about going to a men only salon because I am part of the lgbt community and was not born male. I emailed them first and received an immediate response from one of the managers stating I should come and give them a try. I was very nervous when I got there but I was greeted very quickly. Shea was my stylist and was very friendly and non judgemental. The experience was great all around. And I got a fantastic haircut.

Overpriced and average to below average cuts. Had a few negative experiences with my sons hair, despite clear guidance and instructions. Also, although I always had an appointment, always had to wait, too - sometimes up to 15-20 minutes; always got the feeling that staff arrived right at opening time and were rushing to set up their stations as the place opened. Oh, and the upselling of products, shampoos and the annual membership was just uncomfortable throughout.

Hit but mostly MISS. No consistency with the experience of whom ever is cutting my hair this time, or the quality of the services delivered. I have been to The Boardroom several times, rarely seeing the same person more than twice. $40 is too much to pay for a basic cut to ask me if I want the clippers. My last visit started with a requested slight trim that ended up removing 50%. One star is worthy of free beer. Save your $ go to another place (that has ESPN).
