I started going to Burt Grant around 2002... the stylist I liked ended up moving out of state and it took about 2-years to find another stylist I really like. Emily Reiser is the BEST!!! I have been seeing her since 2004. Her suite-mate, Paul, is just as awesome. The thing I like about them the best is that they know what theyre doing. One time I asked for a perm (soft waves) and they told me, straight-up, that it would not be good for my hair because it is so fine & it would turn to mush. I just wonder how many other stylists would tell you that? I just dyed my hair a dark chocolate brown from blonde - Emily put a filler on my hair first and it looks amazing!!!!! So many of my friends had their hair turn red, strawberry blonde, or their dye fades. If you have a stylist who knows what they are doing.... you can expect great results. Emily is not only great at dying your hair (I had highlights for years and years), but she is excellent at cutting & styling too. She will tell you what will look good with your facial features & how to wear it to work & going out. I highly recommend Emily! I have also had a massage, pedicure, brow-wax, & facial here too. It is so relaxing, & elegant that you cant help but feel pampered. I absolutely love it & I would never go anywhere else!!

Completely messed my hair up was supposed to ombré brown to a pinkish gold now my hair has a brown straight line through it and its red pink. Didnt comb through to blend, line definition. Let intern do half my head and ruined it didnt even check the interns work. She was very nice but horrible job. Dropped dark brown dye on the newly bleached hair I was the one who had to tell them after I waited two minutes to see if they would notice but they didnt. Had to re bleach four spots. When they were done "ombré" it I had to point out that the sides of my head were not even. The hairdresser said the intern was going to watch and ask questions and she was going to tell her what to do but never said she was going to actually work on my hair. Brown spots on the pink. The back looks like a cricked line. Even the side the professional did was not very good. They took 20$ off and asked me to come back Tuesday then charged me 230$. Going back monday DEMANDING a refund. Originally told me at most 215 and it ended up being 250. The pink is not what I wanted at all. I was the one that had to point out when they were trying to get me to leave the there is no blending and a straight line down the side of my head. So mad.

Today, I went to Burt Grant Salon for a 1 hour massage with Tonya (hope I spelled it correctly). I had purchased it with a groupon for $35, which was about half price. I waited only a couple of minutes before Tonya came & got me. I didnt realize I would have to use exterior stairs to get to the upper floor massage area, but the weather was okay & the stairs werent extremely steep. But I had ankle surgery just a few months ago & stairs are still a little tricky for me. When my appointment was verified the day before, I made the receptionist aware that I have an allergy to fragrance. He told me that was no problem, he would notify Tonya. But when I got there, she knew nothing about it. I had thought to bring my own Aveeno fragrance free lotion & she used it. Tonya was really great - experienced, friendly and expert. Overall, it was a wonderful massage. When I left, I asked for a menu of services,but was told they didnt have any available until January. Would I go again? Maybe, if Tonya is still there.

My wife went to Burt Grant for a couple of years but over time the stylists that she preferred left. Other stylists in the salon had been able to touch up an existing haircut that needs only a trim; however you will not get what you want if you change styles, EVEN WITH PICTURES. Most recently, she went to get a significant amount of length removed. Using multiple old pictures of herself, she showed her stylist EXACTLY what she wanted. The stylist, who claimed to be very experienced, reassured her that the cut could be reproduced, no problem. Unfortunately, after giving her the wrong cut at the wrong length, this stylist admitted that she always substitutes her own judgment for the clients. So, if you have no preference for your hair, this is a good place to go. If you want to get the haircut you requested, look somewhere else.

I love this salon! My mom recommended it to me after her first visit, and now we are both regular patrons. The front desk staff is always so pleasant and courteous, especially when canceling/rescheduling appointments. I get my hair cut by Lauren and she always does a fabulous job. The atmosphere of this salon is wonderful - a converted house with comfortable updated details. Burt Grant did a great job. Its always clean and quiet, and their coffee is always fresh. If you need anything else done, simply ask an employee for a staff recommendation. (Ive never been let down!) An affordable salon with wonderful customer service.

I have gone to the Burt Grant for a number of years and have been impressed with each visit. The staff is friendly, you always feel welcomed. I have even seen the front staff work with the hairdresser to try to get an appointment that works with my schedule. Pam does my hair, and the haircuts are great, and when she uses color, it is alway very natural. Even my sister waits to get her hair cut until she can travel here (she lives in California). I would recommend this salon to anyone.

I have worked for Burt Grant for 37 years and Love it. So you can book a appointment with me. I do all services including lash and brow color. For those of you that arent aware that you can color your lashes and brows. This helps you look great at the pool without make up and your brows can look more natural with your hair color. And it will cover those peskie white hairs in your brows and lashes. See you real soon

LOVE THIS SALON!!!!! 5 star service at the Front desk. Chris and Jessie made me feel very welcome. Chris gave me a tour of the spa while i was wateing on Paul. I was given the best hair cut and Paul took a good 20 mins. showing me How to style my hair at home. I was greeted by "Burt Grant" while Paul cut my hair. They even booked my next hair cut before I left the salon!! VERRY HAPPY!!!!!

I have mixed feelings about this salon. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover. My favorite stylist and aesthetician have left so Im wondering about returning. The treatments are great because of the Aveda products, but the building (old house) needs updating. The main bathroom is not up to par for the prices charged for services.

This is the best salon in the DFW area. I live in Dallas and cannot find a better cut for the money. Amanda Land is the best colorist there! I have had my makeup done, a pedicure and hair of course and they have all been outstanding! Worth the drive I make. Better make your appointment in advance though, they are very popular.
