VanRossun Contracting just completed remodeling our 2 full bathrooms including removing and replacing the tile floors of our 1989 built home. Our experience was wonderful. One of the things we really liked was when Clint came in and looked at our bathroom projects and gave us a quote, with allowances for some items because we had not selected them totally, in about 20 minutes. Another company came in for 4 hours, and brought limited samples with them for us to select from. We ended up working with VanRossun Contracting and we are very happy with that decision. Out with the old, in with the new; toilets, whirlpool tubs, sinks, vanities, tile work, glass enclosures, window, new wiring switches and outlets, lights, mirrors, exhaust fans…everything was removed quickly and went in seamlessly. The wall repairs were such you couldn’t tell they were modified. Both of the bathrooms are now stellar works of architecture and make you feel like you just stepped into a spa. Isabel really helped us in selections of tile, colors and offered additional ideas that really made the remodel “pop” and shine. They also set us up with supplier recommendations and the supplier team gave us a tremendous variety of choices and helped guide us to selecting samples to take home and try out in the different light levels a home experiences. This team approach really made the selection process so much easier. They always cleaned up before they left each day and would lay down paper to prevent tracking debris into non-construction areas. The remodeling process was staged so that we were never without a working bathroom. These folks did excellent work. Clint can look at something and tell you what it will cost.. and this is the actual cost. Oh and by the way, the cost was right on target with than the other company’s detailed 4 hour in your home quote. … I personally like that the quote took about 3 ½ hours less of our time. Clint doesn’t waste your time; he is fast, efficient and Isabel is great at guiding the project along and keeping you informed of any decisions that need to be made that might affect the project timetable. The end result is a really great remodel. Our next projects will definitely be with VanRossun Contracting. We absolutely love our new bathrooms.

One star is all that Clint and Isabel will receive for our $11,000 walk-in shower remodel. Where to begin? Clint(the owner) is the WORST business owner we have ever had the displeasure of working with. As others have mentioned, his communication with clients is horrible. We had different trades(tile layers, shower pan installers, glass installers) show up at our house unannounced several times; Clint never bothered to call to let us know. After he had our deposit in hand ($5,500) he had the nerve to become aggressive and loud on the phone when asked a simple question. This happened again on another call during the course of the 3 week installation. If he would not have been holding our deposit, we would have dumped him before our project even started but this was not an option. We constantly found ourselves calling Clint to see if his workers were going to show up or not; if tile had been ordered(it had not), and so forth. When our project finally got started, his tile guy did a very poor job on the area around the drain (had to redo 2x) and half of the large tiles on abutting wall surfaces had gaps of 1/4"-3/8" that had to be redone and Clint said that this was his top installer! So, our week long project dragged out to 3.5 weeks and the FINAL INSULT from Clint is that he NEVER CALLED to see if the job was done to our satisfaction much less drive to our home to inspect the final product. Bottom line: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Take your business to another company unless you want to pay for mediocre work and an owner that is RUDE and a major PITA to work with.

We have used VanRossun Contracting multiple times over the past few years. Whether for a full kitchen remodel, bar renovations, installation of custom doors, new travertine floors, painting or wall decor we have always been pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship of the work. We also would highlight the manner and quality of their staff and contractors. Whether it was at a moments notice or a planned time to review our wishes we always found Clint available and ready to help move our projects along in a timely manner and always to our satisfaction. If ever something seemed a bit off, Clint was quick to address and always left us with nothing but a satisfied experience and outcome. Unlike other contractors, we found VanRossun able to handle any task we threw out them. On multiple occasions we have requested custom builds from cabinetry to custom kitchen islands where the custom wood work had to match perfectly existing custom elements. We found VanRossun extremely capable of delivering such high quality work and greatly appreciated having a contractor who managed everything from design, fabrication, material procurement and installation. We would recommend VanRossun to any of our closest friends

I had a master bath shower remodel, house staining, deck staining, and railing painted as well as welding repair and replacement on steps for the deck. All of the work done by his crews was top notch. The crews were very polite, competent, and took great steps to protect and keep clean the surrounding areas. We were traveling a lot during the remodel and they worked with us on coordinating the work to accommodate our travel schedule without hesitation. One thing that stands out to me is that a month after the work was completed, I noticed an area where the stain needed to be touched up on one wall. I called Clint and told him and he said no problem, they would take care of it. He did. His crew came out for the small touch up and did the work. Most contractors I have used before leave and never come back, sometimes before they are even complete with the job. We would recommend them to our friends and would certainly use them again.

Terrible experience. We had appointment to meet at house at 3 pm for an estimate. The owner showed up at 2:53 and left at 2:59. I arrive at 3:00 with no one in sight. I wait for 15 minutes and decide to call to find out if they are still coming. Secretary tells me he was there and tried to call me, then left. I never got any calls. Come to find out, they had wrong number. Im thinking ok, 1 mistake...Ill give him second chance. She tells me he will call me. He never called. Then I call again at 3:40 asking if he is still coming. She calls him and finally I get a call from him at 3:45. He is very rude on the phone...asking what it is that I want done. I want to tell him..."if you were here, you would find out". He is condescending and I finally say Ill call someone else. Thanks but no thanks!!

We recently used VanRossun Contracting for a major kitchen and bathroom remodel. The job was completed on time, within budget, and with excellent craftsmanship. The "on-time" part is huge. We had heard all the horror stories of typical general contractor delays which caused us to postpone our much needed upgrade for years. The VanRossun family was recommended to us by a friend who had great experiences on their multiple remodel jobs. This firm is different in that it has a stable trades team that works for it. Thus no issues scheduling subs, nor competing for the limited skilled construction labor in the hot Austin market, with the added benefit of a familiar team working in your house each day. I have and continue to recommend Clint and his team to friends who are looking to remodel.
