I have never seen a business run so terribly. I read the bad reviews before I rented, but I thought, really, how bad could it be? Its a simple truck rental... This is the worst uhaul experience I have ever had and I will never go to any uhaul ever again if they continue to refuse to fix this issue. You charged my card an extra $180 without authorization two days before my rental was up, which prevented me from moving into my home since I had exactly enough money on my card for the deposit. I called the office at least 5 times over a 48 hour period requesting to speak with the GM and he was not available each time and they each assured me he would give me a call back that day. One employee finally referred me to the corporate office since I was not getting answers, in which I was explained what these charges were for. I finally got ahold of GM Cedrick after refusing to hang up until he was available. He then confirmed what the corporate contact told me was not true, regarding what the extra charge was for. He told me I did not pay for the rental through Friday, although they have the recorded call phone call where the rep and I both stated Friday at 6pm the truck would be returned. Two days before the truck was returned I get charged an extra $180, and I didnt realize I was charged extra until my move in day. So I drove the truck to what I thought was my new home, only to find out my card was declined for my deposit because uhaul took out an extra unauthorized charge. They are refusing to admit that what they did was not right. This extra unauthorized charge prevented me from moving into my home, left me and my family now homeless and caused me to have to place all of our items into a friends garage in the complete opposite direction from the uhaul location and where I was planning to move. They have no empathy for all the things they messed up for me and my family, and they are refusing to correct their error or even give the slightest apology. I understand they charge you a larger amount when you first rent based on estimated mileage and whatnot, but my problem is that this charge was not authorized and no one can give me solid answers. I paid through Friday, but was charged an extra $180 two days before my rental was over. They all told me different things before speaking with the GM, so then the GM told me what every one else told me was not valid, and he told me I didnt pay for the rental until Friday, even though they have a recorded phone call confirming this is true. Cedrick referred me to a lawyer after I called him out on his second lie, and then ended the call with some laughter. When the local office refers you to the corporate office, and the corporate office refers you back to the local office, and the local office is full of lies, then you know they have some internal issue. This company is crap and I will be sure no one I know rents a uhaul ever again. This isnt right and Im not okay with how I was treated.

I placed a simple order to pick up moving supplies at this location and had awful customer service. The list of items was very short, less than 75$ in total merchandise, and yet, with an empty store, the staff was unable to fill the order correctly. I spoke with the manager on duty, Robert, and he wasnt very helpful. To make the matter of not having all the the needed moving supplies more inconvenient, to get a refund, Robert wanted me to go all the way back to the store with no apathy to my limited schedule and waste of time on their account. This establishment will waste your time and money and has an issue putting together a simple order hours in advance. IF you use them, keep a close eye.

I rent a truck from this location 12-15 days per month. The service is very consistent and most often exceptional when compared to other locations. I am convinced that it is not due to the fact that I rent so much, but because it has great leadership. I come from a business development background and have noticed how the manger, Cedric, at this location manages the affairs of this particular location. My experience with renting trucks has convinced me that every location does not operate with this level of excellence. This is my first review for any company, but I thought it was worth taking the time to do. SW

I am a former uhaul employee before I quit because i didnt want to stay sucked into the blackhole. The work is easy but comes with subpar pay. Employees didnt seem to care. Which I mean why would they with there measly pay. I gave 3 stars though because my truck was clean. And the employee that made up my contract was knowledgeable. 1 last big gripe. I realize that trucks with 2000 miles may have some play in the steering wheel. My truck have 48000 miles on it I had to hold the wheel at 45° the entire drive. Uhaul as a company needs to maintain all there trucks vans trailers

Excellent service and a big thanks to Shawn! Went to pick up a 6x12 box trailer and the trailer brake lights werent lighting up. We tried a 2nd trailer and the same problem occured, pointing the blame to my truck and not the trailer. Shawn was able to diagnose the problem and walk me through how to rewire my 7pin connector. He fixed the problem and got me on my way. He spent close to 45 minutes of his time helping me and even let me use his tools. I never expected such great service. Thanks to Shawn, I will come to this location everytime I rent with uhaul in the future!

I had the U-Haul in Addison install a tow hitch on my 2002 Ford Ranger. Overall, I had a great experience here and would highly recommend them! Although the hitch took a couple extra days to get here, the shop had great communication throughout the whole process. The install was done very quickly in about an hour or so. It turns out that my truck was already pre-wired, so they were happy to refund the cost to do the wiring. The manager and staff are friendly and I would not hesitate to go back here for anything U-Haul related.

Rented a truck on August 18th from Houston for one way to Carrollton TX this was the return location returned within contract days at night drop. Next morning I get extra charge billed to my cc account for $59. Saying dropped off at wrong location inspire the drop off location was 2735 E Belt Line Rd Carrollton, TX 75006. I called and were very unprofessional attitude kept me on line for 45 mins to figure out it was their mistake. My issue is how they handled their mistake. If there was - neg star I would have given -3.

Returned a trailer on 8/24, the manager of this location himself unhooked it at the unload dock, yet received a $110 fine for 5 late days. I received an email on 8/28 saying the trailer was just officially turned in, called and spoke with an employee who said hell look into it and get back to me. Later in the week called and spoke with the manage himself who said hed look at the cameras and call me back, 5 calls to the location more, 3 weeks later and still nothing. Beware when returning your trailers here.
