My 2003 Escape was making weird bumping noises. Another repair shop told me the problem could be a couple of different things, and that the total repair cost would be around $2,000, and charged me around $40 for the inspection. The mechanic said I was "living on borrowed time" and that the repairs needed to be made immediately I took the car to Ethridge for a second opinion, and Im glad I did. The diagnosis they gave me was that my car is old, and old cars make noises - nothing to be concerned about, and they didnt charge me anything for the inspection. That was over 2 years ago. The car still makes the bumping noise from time to time, but Ive probably put over 15,000 miles on it since then, and its still running just fine.

One of the worst experiences at an auto shop Ive ever had. They were rude and did not fix any of the issues with my car despite charging me over $300. When I came back to tell them that the lights that were on in my car that were the reason I came in in the first place, the guy working just said "Uh-huh" and walked away. They never actually fixed anything. A waste of time and money... and the woman working behind the counter was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I had to go somewhere else just to get my car fixed. Dont waste your time on these guys, they have no idea what theyre doing.

Butch and the crew are very friendly but they are incredibly slow. It took them over 4 business days just to take a look at my used truck I had just purchased. In addition I called Linda to check the status and she said she had no idea what progress had been done and said she would call back.....she didnt. I just dont think they did a thorough job and their customer service is lacking big time. I have other friends/neighbors who will not use them because of the incredibly slow service. I really wish my experience had been better, especially since I mentioned this was my first visit.

The guys at Ethridge have taken good care of my cars over the past five years or so. I go to the cheapo shops to get oil changes and tire rotations, and when they tell me I need a belt or a flush, I take it to Ethridge -- they tell me whether I *really* need it or not (often not). They have fixed my cars several times, and they handle everything well, from diagnosis to keeping me in the loop to getting the car running again. Plus, they are great about trying to find a cheaper part for you than from the manufacturer.

I called and asked about a potentially expensive repair on my wifes SUV, then decided to drop it off with Ethridge. Butch called me every step of the way once I dropped off the car and made it clear that my repair wasnt serious, fixed it the same day, and got it back to me in much better shape. Great work, quick turnaround; friendly, honest service. I would certainly recommend this shop if you need some auto work done.

I took my vehicle that was acting up to an auto shop I usually go to. They told me I needed to replace my engine and it would cost $4,000-$6,000. I decided to get a second opinion and was referred to Ethridge from a friend and I couldnt be happier. It didnt need a new motor and I walked out of there only paying $350 for the repairs and have had zero issues since. I wont go anywhere else.

I brought a steering knuckle to have a bearing replaced. After 2 1/2 days they finally broke it. Now I will either have to buy a new steering knuckle for $290 at Ford or get a used one for $75 on ebay (and wait a week for it to be delivered) -- no junkyard in DFW seems to have the exact type. At least they did not charge me for the work they did breaking the knuckle.

We got a couple recommendations for this place when my wifes car had a problem, and they ended up saving us over a thousand dollars. I just took my car in and they were again very efficient and fair. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is not easy, Ethridge is the real deal!

They are very honest & efficient! They did NOT take advantage of the fact that I am a single woman, when I brought my car in. I have used them several times, and each time the price is the going rate in the area for the repair. I highly recommend them!
