Hi, my name is Felisha Rodriguez and I am a student here. I just have to say this school is not a regular salon for anyone to compare it too. Yes we are students who are learning to become licensed stylists. I have personally asked every student here if they are happy they chose this school and majority is very happy. Yes we do have plenty of paper work to fill out but thats what students do in school, DOCUMENT paper work to refer back too. All the instructures here have taught us all very well. Yes they do get pulled a lot by other students to where they can not be found but its no ones fault. The instructor that is short and prissy with long brown hair is very expierenced. Yes she is very blunt but everyone knows that bluntness gets everyones attention compare to cute, nice, and sweet. Do you not realize she has a job to do just as much as everyone else does. The instructores also DO NOT GOSSIP. They review each student to each other to realize what our strengths and weaknesses are. Our price menu is so much more affordable compare to every where else. This is a better school compare to the other schools in and around town but it IS NOT a full on salon. Stylists do start somewhere so how about understanding it from the schools point of view. I am very proud to be attending this school and I would, have, and will suggest this school to anyone and everyone. Thank you and have a good day.

I have gone to this teaching salon several times in the past and I always have had good service and I tip really well. The second last time I was there, they were offering a promotion for 2 free facials and 2 free pedicures if I bought all the items suggested. I purchased those items and then some. The cashier told me that my name was in the computer for these promotions and they do not expire. I call today to make those appointments. And the staff is clueless. I am extremely disappointed and will never come back. I even paid for the students mistake the last time I was there. She was supposed to do new growth color only and did my whole head. Which I had to get cut off somewhere else because she damaged my hair. She also had another student mix up the color who forgot an ingredient. She also let me know that if customers do not tip in cash that the students do not get the amount of the tip as pay, but only receive an Aveda gift card in the amount of the tip. I had my husband go to the bank and withdraw cash for the student who messed up my hair because I feel that this policy is wrong. You all suck and I am very mad and dissapointed! Aveda, you lost a very good customer for life and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about your mishandelling of this incident.

I requested information. I was texted a phone number I call just asking a general question if the times flexible and she asks what campus I Wil be attending.. Confused cause I assume maybe she meant what part of beauty school I was attending thinking the schedule is different between areas studied, so I ask. And this lady picked up a tone saying theyre located here and there etc. (Im in corpus I dont know much about beauty schools but I know del Mar has different campuses all in 1 city.. and I thought I needed the address which I dont know where any avedas campuses are located) And this was my first time talking to anyone.. and first impression was terrible.. will definitely not being going to this school.

You never know what to expect. Many times the senior students are more inept than the sophomore students, but it is a school and for the most part, I have been satisfied. Unhappy when I made my last appointment and they did not bother to tell me their prices for my service, nearly doubled. I could have been given a student, other than a senior for less, but the automatically gave me a "master student".....much more money. That is almost a bait and switch scheme, orchestrated by the new owners. All about the money. Students are not happy. They are losing real, live people to work on.

Great services for the price! Also was able to get in same day. Facial was wonderful and person seemed very experienced and warm. Will definitely do that service again. Pedicure was ok. No water tubs nearby so it seemed the salt scrub never really came off. Pedicure chairs also not meant for tall people--had to keep legs in upward bent position instead of laying in straight relaxed position. Became very uncomfortable. Overall pretty good experience and will most likely come back.

Do NOT come to school here, it is a scam. the tuition is way overpriced, 20,000 for each cosmo student. And once 50% of the program is complete, you do not get any of your money back. At the 50% mark, thats when things change. They start following the fine print you signed in the beginning in order to get you kicked out, if they dont have a reason, they will look for one and open a station to make room for another 20,000 dollars walking in the door. HUGE SCAM. Stay far away.

Made an appointment. They were right on schedule! Vanessa was the student that did my hair. My hair is blond, thick and was not looking how I wanted. Vanessa did a partial foil highlight on my hair and I honestly am so excited! My hair turned out way better than my expectations. She was great. The experience will definitely have me returning!! Thank you.

They are always friendly and I have nwver had a problem with any of my hair cuts. The instructors keep watch on what and how the students cut the hair.
