Had my car towed here because driver sugested it. Noticed electrical damage (wiring harness ripped off from accident). I did not want Galson to work on it from the-get-go. Driver drove me home. Signed his paperwork. And got a ride to work. Called Galson and informed them that I need to have a tow truck pick my truck up and tow to a dealership. Was thown sales pitch to get my business. I was not interested. I wanted my truck to be towed to a dealership. I was asked to come into Galson in order to sign there release form. I did that and drove back to work. This is where my issue starts. Galson informs my insurance company that I have to pay nearly $800 in fees for administration, storage, tow...etc. I can understand 1 days storage and tow. But the rest of the fees should NEVER be almost $800! So my insurance never heared of a shop demanding such a high amount of money FOR NO SERVICE! The administration fee was $450 alone! Again for NO SERVICE. Insurance wouldnt pay such a high price for nothing at all. And I couldnt cover the cost for nothing at all. So my truck had to sit till I got paid again. Well, payday came 10 days later. I called my insurance company and asked to conference call into Galson. We were informed that the administration fee was cut in half and my insurance company agreed to pay it. The total including storage for 10 days came to nearly $1000! Again for NOTHING AT ALL! Avaid this place like the Ebola Virus! They are cheats and swindlers.

As a certified automobile connoisseur, I can unequivocally manifest that Galson Auto is THE BEST establishment I visited for any/all my cars. It is by far the paramount automotive maintenance and body shop in the Greater Houston area. I have owned a variety of cars from Toyotas, Nissans, Infinitis, and BMWs, and I take each and every vehicle to Galson Auto for any kind of maintenance, repair, or aftermarket work. I have also referred numerous friends, coworkers, colleagues, and family members to Galson Auto for a variety of car-related jobs....from simple oil changes to custom body/paint work and intricate clear bra applications. In every job they perform, Galsons attention to detail and intricate precision in their execution makes me look like an automotive genius for the folks that I refer to them. This has resulted in a high volume of repeat and lifetime customers. Ravi in the Galson body shop and Seema/Harjeet in the Galson auto shop are some of the best people I have ever worked with in the auto industry - their work ethic, communication, and level of service is unparalleled! I would highly recommend Galson Auto to anyone with any automotive need as the premier shop in Houston - hands down.No question - they can do it ALL!

Pluses: open on Saturday, does state inspections. Minuses: everything else... I took my car in for a "check engine light" service (AFTER having had it scanned at Autozone and knowing good & well what the issue was). Either through incompetence or deceit, they quoted a repair bill with a lot of unneccesary work which would not have even begun to address the problem (faulty fuel sensor). What offended me the most is there (otherwise nice) reception lady then scolding me for not bringing in my vehicle routinely; saying that I was hurting my car and causing more problems. This started me thinking that it may be deceit/scam. I then took their written repair quote to my trusted mechanic after the weekend who laughed it to scorn!!! He both verified what I already knew was wrong, and pointed out how they even intend to scare me into repairs with the quote (they use CAPITAL LETTERS AS IF ITS A HUGE PROBLEM). (NB: I have a great friend who would swear by them, so your mileage may very. I might go in again for an inspection, but absolutely no real repair work.)

The people at Galson Auto are absolutely wonderful. From the Owners to the mechanic to the people in the body shop. Not only do they do exceptional work, they are people of high character and integrity. I brought my car to be looked at- after they assessed the car, they called and told me that they could not find anything wrong and that they would not charge me. I asked them to leave the car outside and I would be by to pick it up after hours. I was not able to come and pick up the car that night. The next day I got a call from them that the car had been hit and had a large dent and scratch. I was very upset and could not afford to pay to have it fixed. The owner was gracious enough to fix the dent and scratch and even some other cosmetic issues free of charge. I am very grateful for the kindness that the Owners and people at Galson showed me. They went above and beyond to serve me! Thank you Galson- I will always recommend you guys!

I took my Chevelle there a while ago to have the wiring completely redone. I had purchased a brand new wiring harness with all the necessary information, relays, fuses, bulbs, and wires for the install so all they had to do was read the instructions. The individual who was in charge of electrical matters took one look at the new harness and said it would never work and to bring in the old harness. I told them I had ordered it specifically for my cars model and make. He still insisted it would not work and to just use the old one. I had the car towed back to my house which ended up costing me about $125 despite the fact that I live about 2 miles away from the shop. The following week I took off from work and decided that if these "professionals" would not do the job that I was willing to pay for, then I would install the harness myself. It took me 2 afternoons to complete. I have never taken any of my vehicles there since.

Ive been going to Galson for my Auto and Body needs since the mid-1990s. Its a family owned business and after your experience there as a customer you will feel like part of their family. Honest work at an honest price! They service every vehicle my family owns and the have made collision repairs to mine and my parents vehicles in the past. Ask for Ravi in the Body Shop and Seema in the Auto Shop and you will be in good hands! I was recently rear ended by a driver with no insurance. Ravi took the time to work with my insurance company to make sure that my truck get fixed and make sure my insurance premium would not go up for filing the claim. My fathers car is there now. He too was rear ended by another driver. The staff at Galson finally managed to get a hold of the insurance company to get a part covered that was not part of the initial estimate. Galson is definitely on top of their game!!!

I have Galson Auto customer for the past 4 years since I moved to the north part of Houston. I can honestly say that I have never received the first class service any where as I have been treated at Galson Auto & Body. They have a excellent staff who make sure that everything is articulated to the customer without any hidden costs. They even go out of their way to recommend other options if the one they present doesnt fit your needs or means. Their technical know how and expertise saved me over a $1,000 dollars when I took my luxury vehicle to the dealer and they advise thousands of dollars worth of work and the Galson team of experts identified the changes were not necessary and advised changes which actually saved me money and improved the performance of my car! If you are in Houston and have a issue with your car it would be highly irresponsible of you not to go to Galso Auto!
