I worked at this location for about 9 months and had mixed feelings. I loved the massage therapists and fellow estheticians. The group of spa associates that were hired early on at the opening of the store, in June 2015, were really competent and easy to work with. When the owner assigned the position of assistant manager to Erica the problems began. Erica would no show to work, come in late, have a hundred excuses as to why she wasnt there, and not show up on holidays. She made everyone else do her work- and she washed her personal clothes at the spa (this is in violation of TDLR standards, by the way). She got away with a ton of stuff that she and the owner would threaten to write everyone else up for. The owner is incompetent and rude. He and Erica threatened my job after the spa associates at the front messed up the schedule and didnt take me off when I had requested. I didnt come in but I received text messages from my coworkers that I was going to be up for firing if I didnt come in for a shift that I wasnt supposed to be working in the first place. There were numerous other issues, they literally made up stories about me at the end. I finally gave notice in March after they were threatening to fire me in front of other staff. I can tell you all right now that the spa does not abide by the sanitation standards as they should. Like bleaching the linens to get rid of all bacteria, making sure blankets dont touch the floor and if they do- wash them! I could list more things but I will end with this- I enjoyed my clients, the facial products we used, and the continuing education that the estheticians were expected to do. That is what made leaving so hard. But being in an environment where the owner and manager were harassing me and looking for reasons to fire me was not healthy. AVOID this place if youre looking for a job- they have run 10-15 people out of there in just a year! Why do you think the only person that made it to their one year anniversary is the manager, Erica?

Lovely pristine spa in the fairly new Arboretum Village Center (sometimes forget its there now, so convenient). After having an excellent massage, Ive decided to try a facial since they offer one for sensitive skin. Some places seem kind of set up for one-size-fits-all services, so its nice to find a spa nearby thats geared to meet specific needs. Even my massage was based on a questionnaire that pinned down how intensive (or not) I wanted the massage to be plus the therapist draped me carefully, which was a relief since I tend to be a little modest. The aromatherapy option was nice too. Friendly, helpful staff. All in all, a first-rate experience.

Wow! What an experience! They were welcoming and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. I felt a little put off by the receptionists remark "Yea, thats why we tell you to arrive early, to fill out forms..." Welp, traffic was horrible and that didnt work out as planned. Anyhow, we were celebrating our Valentines Day early and got a couples massage. We would highly recommend it!

I have been to Hand & Stone for both a facial and a back massage. I had a wonderful experience each time. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information and answering any questions I had. Options to upgrade my service were offered but there was no hard sell to upgrade - which I appreciated. Both facial and massage were excellent! I would go back again.

I recently visited this location and had a very fabulous experience. I had a massage from Gary and he was great. He really helped with my back problems and I had a lot of knots that he took out for me. I felt like a new person. Very good experience I will definitely be returning.

Ive been keeping an eye on this place since before they even opened. Never disappointed. I have been in for a massage and my wife has a membership, so she goes regularly for massages and facials. We have both been very happy and feel this is a great addition to the neighborhood.
