Before experiencing great service and consistently great colors & cuts with Ardem Keshishian owner/master stylist at Salon D, I was no doubt a salon hopper!! I randomly picked new salons and new colorist/stylist (many times 1 would color and another person did the cut), but all of that came to an end over 10 years ago. I FINALLY found a great stylist that I would never "cheat on". Those of you that do the routine hair care/maintenance but have never found a good fit for you now what I mean. You find someone that "works," but if you cant fit in for an appointment when youre ready to get it done, youll go to whoever and wherever can work you in that second. First of all, Ardem is very willing to work with scheduling to fit his regulars in when they have a "hair emergency" or have to reschedule. Additionally, I would never think of allowing anyone else to cut or color my hair because I absolutely love how my hair feels and looks following a cut, color and highlights from Ardem at Salon D. Everyone in there is so inviting and complimentary, but the true test is immediately leaving there and the couple of days following when people say "wow, your hair looks great." You know the sign of a good cut/color is when it keeps its shape and grows out gracefully before the next appointment. All of those things have fallen into place since Ardem started doing my hair. Ardem also has a several stylists that he employs as an apprentice to learn from him and master his techniques. I have met most of them over the last 10 years, and many continue working their after they establish their own clients. Rachel Andonian is one of those stylist at Salon D that I first got to know when she was shadowing Ardem right out of cosmetology. She quickly became a favorite and now cuts my daughters hair and is my go to if I need to get in for a touch up or a quick blowout and style. Rachel is a natural and very good at seeing what the best end result would be and making suggestions to fall in line with that. She is very honest about style and what you should and shouldnt shoot for during a blowout and style depending on the event. Rachel is always very timely and excellent with younger kids as well. My daughters hair is already growing into a great style and looks so much healthier since she graduated from a kiddy salon to Rachel at Salon D. I wouldnt take her anywhere else! It is truly both a professional & family atmosphere at Salon D, all the way from the welcoming massage at the hair bowl during the shampoo to the finishing touches of the blow dry and style out! I do and would recommend Ardem, Rachel and Salon D to anyone looking for a change or a new permanent salon home.

Rachel Ani Andonian is an incredible stylist in every way, shape and form. She has been my hair dresser for almost three years now and has never disappointed even once. Being a creative individual with a bit of a wild side she was able to make all my wildest hair dreams come to life. Whether it be a flawless shade of blonde full of dimension or bold, avant-garde hues Rachel not only makes it happen but makes my hair look out of this world. She has done my extensions numerous times and always perfectly matches the extensions to my hair color. My extensions have always looked fantastic and constantly would get compliments on my hair. The best part was almost every thought it was my real hair because she was able to make them look so natural. Rachels visionary insight and talent with fashion colors allows her clients to have a look that is edgy yet elegant. She has done several color combinations for me, everything from sunset to peacock and every color in between. She also does an incredible job cutting and styling hair. She genuinely listens to what her clients wants and brings their visions to life. As if being a sensational hair dresser werent enough she is the definition of lovable. I can honestly say I look forward to every appointment not only because of her phenomenal work, but also because of her magnetic personality and contagious smile. Rachel is a rockstar! If you want to explore adventurous, eye-catching colors for an absolutely stellar look she is your girl.

Hands down the best place for extensions! I have had extensions done several times at various salons, but Salon D tops them all! The staff at Salon D was very friendly, professional, and helpful. I made my appointment with Rachel, an overall extension goddess that also is warm, entertaining, and delightful to talk with. She has this lovely magnetic energy where she makes you feel oh-so-right at home. You could be sitting in her chair with hours to kill and she will share stories, listen to you gripe about your day, and even drop some knowledge on life in general. If you do not feel like chatting that is okay too, she will provide you with a selection of magazines to read. I came to Rachel with a short platinum blonde bob and she was able to transform my hair into an amazing look. She cut and colored my hair then matched my extensions perfectly. It is pretty crazy to see the before and after shots. All of my friends could not believe it was not my own hair because it looked so natural. My hair looks amazing! My confidence has gone through the roof! I cannot even imagine my self with out extensions anymore. It has become a way of life. I will never go to anyone else but Rachel for my hair extension needs! If you are thinking about getting hair extensions or need a great stylist to do your hair color and cut you have to go see Rachel at Salon D. You will not be disappointed!

MELISSA JONES IS THE REAL DEAL!!! I moved to Dallas a couple months ago and managed to have a couple disaterous hair experiences with huge price tags attached. I was determined that my hair had seen the last of its bad days and got busy doing some research... and with a couple keystrokes, I found Melissa Jones! To put it nicely my hair was a mess. The previous stylist had gone overboard with chunky slices of blond and underacheived with a very blah cut. I explained, to Melissa that I was looking for more natural highlights with some dimension and a cut that had movement and could be worn straight or curly. She reassured me that she could fix my mess and made me feel extremely confident that she really would! With that, I said "I trust you, go for it!" I feel like a new woman! Melissa delivered and then some! Not only did she give me exaclty what I wanted, but she took her time. I have a ton of hair and my crown foil took the time of a full foil and she didnt flinch! She was sweet and funny and blast to talk to! The salon was clean, comfortable, professional and not pretentious. I was so happy with the incredible results that I didnt even pull out the coupon in my purse (which would have saved me $45). Her price was very fair and worth every $ (and then some) and I booked my next appointment before I left. THANKS MELISSA!
