Ok where do I begin.... So I recently moved to Dallas from NYC. Yea big change I know! So anyways obviously coming from NYC I was spoiled with all the best salons I could ever ask for at a reach. I was super stressed out and hesistate about finding a salon in the Dallas area that I could really trust and be satisfied with. Then the Beauty Box came up, after watching SEVERAL youtube videos that the owner, Christopher Box made I was extra confident when making my appointment. I really love and believe that a salon that is knowledgeable and shares that knowledge with their clients really is a gem. So I made an appointment for me and my sister with Sonia, she had the best reviews and buzz on the net so I definitely wanted to see what she was about. My sister and I were interested in getting extensions. I have heard horror stories and all the cons of hair extensions so I was really worried about how the appointment would go. We arrived at the CUTEST little salon ever! It was like a little doll house, I fell in love right away. We entered the salon and were greeted by the receptionist, Theresa. Next to her was this tall beautiful bombshell, who I didnt know ended up being Sonia. I was impressed that she really had STUNNING hair and very beautiful herself, usually most stylists dont really have nice hair let alone take care of themselves. Anyways Sonia presided to get us our paper work and questionnaire ready, we discussed extensively the process the pros and the cons, everything I wanted to know and then some. Both my sister and I, were extremely confident with Sonia, we booked our appointment to get the extensions the following week. We arrived a week later, anxiously awaiting. Sonia worked her magic and BAM i was walking down a runway, LITERALLY. She cut and styled my hair like Farrah Fawcett from Charlies Angels, it was just gorgeous. Then my sister got hers done and she looked just like Pocahontas. We were ecstatic! Please save yourself a hassle and headache about other salons and stylists who just are not genuine and real, SONIA is the go to for this NYC gal. <3 <3 :)

Definitely not the right place to go if you value your hair and money. Although they have a friendly staff and accommodated my busy schedule, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with extensions. Here are my reasons: 1. Inexperienced staff. Most of them are college aged who are still learning basic things. They even let people practice on your hair and they introduce them to you as their apprentices, but you still have to pay full price. Go figure: 2 or 3 not so experienced people working on your hair = CATASTROPHE plus waste of time...if you would be looking for a cheap thing you wouldnt go to this place, right??! 2. Poor hair extension job. I paid and was expecting to get 7-star premium Hairdreams quality hair that could be rebonded and used for up to 1-2 years. But instead of my hairdreams extensions, I was given hair nightmares! Turned out I received a blend and didnt get 100% 7-star premium quality hair. The hair wasnt the same including varying levels of quality and different shades of color. The quality of the glue was substandard and caused a lot of damage to my hair. I even experienced hair loss when they tried to redo the hair extensions. When you pay $5,000-6,000 you expect a premium product and service. I have received better from previous salons while saving myself several thousand/s.

I have heard nothing but horror stories about hair extensions,but when I burnt off much of my hair right before my wedding I was willing to try anything. After a lot of internet searching I found Beauty Box on the internet. I live in Lakeside,TX so it is not an easy drive from my house...but let me say this, IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Not only did they finally get my hair color the perfect not too red or too black, but PERFECT brown I have been trying to achieve for years, but Sonja Engel at the salon did the most amazing job on my extensions. I was in awe at the way the blended with my hair and no one could tell the difference. Sonja is my hair extension magician and I dont care how long it takes to drive out there, she will always be the one to do my hair. The klix extensions were great for my active swimming and scuba diving lifestyle, but in the colder months I prefer the super light weight tape extensions. Sonja takes the time to make sure they are placed where you can style your hair, wear it in a ponytail, etc. Then, she layers the extensions so well I forget what length my hair really is. My hair really is getting long enough not to have the extensions, but the extra movie star length and fullness keeps me coming back :-) I would highly recommend this salon, and especially Sonja.

LOVE the Beauty Box. I moved to Dallas 1 1/2 years ago and found the Beauty Box through a Groupon- Im a loyal customer now. I even drive from North Dallas into Uptown every time I need to get my hair done. The salon is friendly and helpful- you never feel uncomfortable like in some of the snootier uptown salons. I trust my hair to Brandon- hes very knowledgable. He usually does blond highlights and a cut for me- blending the blond in perfectly. I love how natural it always looks. Hes also done the Pravana treatment on my hair- I LOVED it! I have a ton of crazy, frizzy hair that does not stand up well to humid Dallas summers. I tried it based on Brandons recommendation- it works great! I love how the salon emails last minute appointments that they have open- makes it easy to find a spot if you forgot to make that appointment. I tried a few salons in Dallas before stumbling upon the Beauty Box- so glad I did.

The Beauty Box Salon is my heaven on earth! I was one of Chriss clients initially and was 100% overjoyed with my hair after every visit to The Beauty Box Salon. Due to Chriss busy schedule with new & existing clients, driving the salons growth, training new employees, & encouraging social media/marketing to further connect & educate all parties (employees, industry professionals, & current & prospective clients), Chris confidently placed me with Sonia Isaguirre. Sonia is the MOST AMAZING person ever & I have LOVED my time since the day I first was introduced to her! I do not know what Id do without her & highly recommend her & all Beauty Box employees to anyone in need of someone who will take control of their hair scare with only attention, precision, & accuracy. If there were 10 stars to rank this salon, Id give them 11! Call them to get on their books -- right now!!!

I just left about an hour ago and cant stop smiling! About a month ago I cut a large portion of my hair trying to rock a shorter hair length...I was not loving it! Short hair was not accentuating my face as well as I thought it would, on the contrary I felt so unhappy with how I looked. After realizing I missed my long hair I began researching about hair extensions. I had never worn them before Id only heard about them. I also wanted to go to a good place that I could feel comfortable in trusting them with this experience. Beauty Box seemed to be the place, to make my story short I met with Liz. She thoroughly explained the extensions selection and process. I then scheduled for my installation day. When I saw what she had done to my hair I immediately felt one thousand times better and was truly amazed!!!! Id never had my hair this long & full of volume
