Stop! Before you book an appointment at this salon read this post. Wish I could post pictures to show exactly just how bad my cut and color turned out. Just moved in to the area and thought this would be a nice salon. I am now counting the minutes to get to my next appt to fix my hair. Im 43 and work in a professional environment. Having orange streaked hair that is cut in the "Rachel" is not what I paid for. Do not believe the stylists know how to do a biolage. Ive had my hair done with a light brown to few blonde highlights for two years. What I got was a orange streak (5 of them) from the half an inch from the root. I was not charged for the service (4.5 hour appointment!) because the stylist knew how badly it turned out. The owner Aaron would not meet me at the salon to see the damage (stylist took off 2-4 inches, cut is absolutely horrible and have orange streaks of damage) . His only offer was to help call another stylist to fix "but he has no control over anyones schedule". When I said OK please call, his answer was "I just dont think this is going to work out". He hid behind the fact that the stylists are contractors and did not stand behind their service in any way. My hair will grow back but the damage done from the root down and having to take time off work to have this corrected (and the additional damage that will do to my hair) is something I do not wish on anyone. You dont go to the salon to have your hair thrashed. Highly suggest finding a more reputable salon.

The hair stylist I was seeing had moved. My daughter went to see Masooda Ellison because her hair had been bleached damaged and she stumbled across her salon on this site and read the reviews. When she walked in my door after her visit, I started crying because I never thought she would ever get her hair corrected and she looked so natural and amazing. I was scared to see a new stylist. Normally when you have long hair they always want to cut it, shorter than you like. I went to Masooda over a year ago and she made me look much younger and took me completely out of my "comfort" zone into a very modern look! Im 53 and I had always colored my hair black. She took the black out, gave me my light brown color back, with highlights and it took 15 years off my appearance. I will forever be her customer and she would never do anything you would be uncomfortable with. On top of all this greatness, she has a living soul and I treat her like my daughter. I highly recommend letting her put the "life" back into your appearance. Oh, by the way, I still have very long voluptuous hair, thanks to Masooda!❤️

The atmosphere was great. High energy and bubbly. First time here stylists name silvia. Booked 75 minute wash/cut/style because I have long hair. My stylist seem to rush me constantly to the fact that when she washed my hair and she didnt even put a cover on me. She barely would talk to me whenever she washed my hair and she finally started asking me questions whenever I got into the seat. After asking me how I found her she told me that she wasnt very good at cutting hair. I should have stopped the appointment right there but I wanted to see how well this will turn out because I needed to come back to get my hair colored. I told her that I wear my hair curly which is why I came into the salon with my natural curls and she cut my hair to the style of it being straightened. She straightened my hair so that I wouldnt see how bad the haircut was with my natural curls. My 75 minutes appointment turned into 45 minutes and I still got charged for the full 75 minutes. If I go back it will be with a different stylist

I had the pleasure of booking with Masoodah (after checking out the Modern Luxe Instagram pages) and after at least 2 years of searching, I can without a doubt say I have found my perfect stylist match!! She listened to ALL my OCD ramblings about my hair and skintone (and looked at my dozens of pictures! Lol), worked with me on a color match, gave me advice on regular styling, shampoo regimen, and growing my hair out, etc. Most importantly, the end result was a PERFECT balayage that I am so happy with. Cant wait to continue working with the amazing Masoodah. She listens, she works you toward your goal, and she is just as invested in your final result as you are! You can tell she is really passionate about her work and she also hugged me on my way out! Haha if you are searching, please give her a chance-you wont be disappointed!

i have been going to masooda for 8-9 months now and i am absolutely satisfied. atlast i found a right hair stylist who can handle frizzy asian hair and suggest right hair styles. i went from shoulder down hair length to pixie cut, and i loved the way she laid options (with pros and cons) in front of me to choose the right one. she made me look sexy and young by 10 yrs. best for me is, she remembers my appointments and sends me reminders, works out best timings for a working mom like me. she learns the client and comforts the best. totally recommend this young women and i truly love her.

BLONDIES LISTEN UP: i go to Davna for full highlights or really anything to do with blonde hair. Its so hard nowadays to find someone who actually knows how to color blonde hair the right way and not make it turn out yellow or orange. Davna is absolutely amazing and at reasonable prices. I have never had a bad experience with her and my color and Ive gone a good 3 times to her! I recommend her to EVERY person that asks me about my hair- no doubt. Plus the atmosphere of Modern Luxe is luxurious but the prices are super reasonable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! You wont be disappointed!

I absolutely adore Masoodah! I searched high and low for a new hairstylist when my previous stylist for 10 years moved. Ive now been a client of Masoodahs for almost 2 years. Masoodah is amazing with hair. I have an intricate short haircut and color, and she knows just what to do. Shes extremely professional and explains the process and outcomes honestly whenever I request a drastic change with my hair. I highly recommend Modern Luxe and Masoodah. You wont be disappointed!

The salon was really nice and clean. When I booked my appointment it said it was one amount so thats why I went. After 4 hours of being there the amount was more then it should of been. I have never paid $285 to get my hair done. I also only said to cut off the ends and I ended up walking out with about 1 1/2 inches cut off and layers that dont lay right. Its not a terrible place if you dont mind paying an arm and a leg for hair that will need to be redone in a month or less.
