Before going to Salon LaPage, I had only had my hair professionally cut once 7 years ago (it was horrendous), and I always had my hair highlighted with box dyes. I got an appointment with Michelle, and at my first appointment I voiced my hair concerns (my hair was extremely damaged, and getting shorter by the week). I told her about my lack of professional hair care, and that I was nervous about getting too much cut off. She pulled out a mirror and showed me how much absolutely had to be cut off (about 1 inch) but that two inches would be best for the overall health of my hair. I also told her that I wanted a blonde balayage, but that I was worried about the damage it would do to my hair. She told me the best way to prevent as much damage as possible, would be to go slow with the highlighting over a few months, and to get the Olaplex and chemical shot as well. But that it was my choice as to what I wanted to do. She then went and did an estimate of how much this would all cost, and came back with two prices (depending on how much of my hair she would end up dying). I wasnt sure what I wanted, so she said that she would go ahead and do it, and stop when it looked like enough. Since my hair is very fine, it ended up being the price of the lower estimate (even though I was fully expecting the higher price). I had the full two inches cut off and my hair was a bit shorter, but not as short as I expected. While she was dying my hair, I asked her about hair care, and what products I could use to help grow my hair long and healthy. She showed me some items, but never ever pressured me to buy them. I also asked for some tips for healthy hair, and hairstyles that might help. She was VERY patient, and never pressured me to do anything. And before she was going to do something, she would always double check to make sure that it was what I wanted. Before coming here, I had always heard horror stories of hair stylists chopping off more than what was agreed upon, and forcing you to buy products, but if anything Michelle did less. Best of all, my hair went from looking thin and damaged, to thicker than its ever looked in my life and healthy!! I couldnt be happier!! Im extremely skeptical of internet reviews. I read reviews about every salon in Denton before I chose Salon LaPage, but this salon was better than I ever expected! Ive been back a few times since my appointment, and Ive been just as happy every time! Seriously, if your hair is extremely damaged, or if youve never really had your hair professionally cut/dyed, go see Michelle!!

My first experience with this salon was a wonderful experience. My hair stylist was enjoyable and my hair cut was done well. I came back for a second time to get my hair dyed and cut. I requested my hair be dyed a dark red/brown color, which was going to be a challenge due to my hair being a vibrant blue. As someone who has their hair dyed often Im aware of the challenge this is and how much time and money this can cost. After spending hours getting my hair stripped and damaged to put the darker color on top the color came out okay and I was somewhat satisfied with what was accomplished. I was expecting to be spending in the triple digits due to all the stripping n whatnot, but I ended up being charged over two hundred dollars for this process. Ive never in my life had to spend over two hundred dollars on my hair, even when I bleached and stripped my long, thick hair that was down my back. Currently I have a shaved head and about six inches at most of hair on my head so being charged such a price was shocking, especially because I received no warning or "quote" of such price before. And I was trying to keep an idea of how much this would cost while it was being done, but I had no idea that my short hair could ever cost this much. Im honestly disappointed because I thought I had found a salon and stylist that I could begin seeing on a regular basis but this whole experience felt like I was tricked and ripped off entirely. Overall I wouldnt fault the salon too much. Its a lovely salon with what seems like a lovely staff. This experience was just shocking and completely unpleasant and has ultimately left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope others can avoid being charge such ridiculous prices. Ive officially learned my lesson to ask for pricing before letting any chemicals touch my head.

I frequented the salon twice myself and once for my little girl. I was pleased with the color and cut that Chelsa, an experienced stylist performed on my hair. I was disappointed with the cut she did on my daughters hair. Within a week, her bangs were in her eyes again. With a discounted rate because I was the referral it was still about $22. Too much, but I thought that you get what you pay for. Boy, was I wrong. The second appointment for my daughter rolled around and she was sick. I cancelled and rescheduled. I called on the date of our appointment and said we would be five minutes late. Apparently this warrants a cancellation or minimization of the appointment. PULEASE! I waited 20 minutes for Chelsa when it was time for my daughters first appointment. In addition, Chelsa made a comment about us cancelling the first appointment when my daughter was sick. I thought spreading germs would not be nice! So dissappointed in the snooty behavior. I spend over $500 there in three appointments. I will NOT be returning and I believe that if pay for that type of treatment, it is highly over rated! I will find a nice, customer service, friendly place to go. Not a snooty place!

While I have only been to Salon LaPage a few times, I have left there each time very pleased with the outcome. The first time I went, I happened to get Jennie, and I could not be more happy with her work. Therefore, I have continued to use her as my stylist. Ever since Ive gone off to college, Ive been searching for a stylist that I could trust with my long locks (bc we all know, a lot of them can be too scissor happy), and I have found that in Jennie. I always know I can count on her to keep my length. Another great quality about Jennie is that if I want to experiment (but not quite sure what I want to do), I know I can trust her judgment and expertise. She truly knows what she is doing, and what will look best on you. So, as you can all tell by now, I have been very happy with my experiences at Salon LaPage, and especially with Jennie. I highly recommend both of them to anyone, and have already referred several friends!

Went in for a haircut with Krista and had a very nice experience. Setting up an appointment over the phone was easy. It was easy to find, its in a nice location with a very appealing entrance and lobby. Its a well designed and organized salon. The staff is friendly and professional. I was impressed with their level of process and procedures, beginning with a consultation. From check-in to shampoo and cut to blow dry Krista was communicating with me to ensure that I was comfortable and aware of every step. Alway giving me a 100% of her attention and pleasantly engaging me in conversation. Krista was very knowledgeable and I really appreciated her level of technique and the tips she shared with me. Pricing was fair for the level of service and for good service Im willing to pay a little more. I recommend making an appointment.
