Though I didnt end up booking City Kitchen for my wedding, Im glad I didnt. The first red flag was when they told me they would get me a quote by Tuesday, which never came. Shana then told me that she would get it to me by Friday of that same week. I emailed her multiple times that day with no response. I finally called her office only to be told that Shana was out for the day but that they would leave a message for her. On Monday, I got a call from someone at City Kitchen - not the woman I had been working with - saying that she understood that I was "a little upset" with them and was wondering why. She was incredibly condescending and didnt seem to care at all that they were inconveniencing me by continuously missing deadlines. I got a quote that Monday, but it was way over the budget I gave them. (Im talking a few thousand dollars over). Along with this, it left out a few major things I had asked her to include, like the Day of Coordinator. Shana assured me that there were ways we could lower it, so I asked her to do that for me. The next day she sent me a new quote... except the total wasnt included! I had to ask her for yet another quote, with the actual total this time. I didnt book them because I believe that if theyre going to be this careless just getting a quote to me, how careless are they going to be when it comes to my actual wedding? The whole experience was awful and incredibly unprofessional.

We had our daughters wedding on April 16th at Avalon Legacy Ranch in Mckinney. It was beautifully catered by City Kitchen. We had fried mac and cheese balls, crab cakes, and goat cheese sundried tomato tartlets for appetizers. Steak with Peppercorn sauce, Salmon, and stuffed Portobello mushrooms as entrées. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables with Asparagus, mixed greens salad, and rolls. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was hot, and cooked to perfection. Both the steak and salmon got rave reviews, and the pepper corn sauce was to die for. I cannot say enough about the delicious food. Now to service. The waiters were attentive but not hovering. the bartenders did a good job keeping people in wine and beer. Michelle Mcwherty was amazing. She had everything under control the whole time. And even managed to smile. I was absolutely blown away, and that is hard to do. Everything and everybody exceeded expectations. I cant thank them enough for making this joyous day perfect.

This place is great for catering a party or serving guests at a wedding. They definitely took care of me (father of bride) during my daughters wedding. They will arrange a tasting as you are deciding what food to serve. Nothing but good food and people.
