First let me say I truly love Red Hotmail and Blue. This is the first time I had visited this store and was the first negative experience i have had. Here is what happened. My wife and i arrived and waited 15 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. It also was that long before anyone even recognized we were there. We ordered quickly, appetizers came out without a problem. However, the food did not until 50 minutes after ordering and was cold. Judging by the others being served that had arrived 10 minutes after us, my assumption was it was simply forgotten and sat in the back for a period of time. As a further confirmation of my assumption, our server was changed during the process. When my wife spoke with the manager, she was told they were short staffed. Okay that happens. The managers resolution was to recovery the total check by the 6 dollars that was over THE GIFT CERTIFICATE. The problem i have with the whole thing is that if we were not using a gift certificate, the manager probably would have comped the whole check. The say a restaurant should not be judged by a mistake, but rather how they respond to it. In this case, i found the response lacking and felt cheated because i used a gift certificate.

For taste and price, the food gets 5 stars. The ambiance is also great - the music is just loud enough, the place is clean and comfortable, and the decor is just kitschy enough without going overboard. Unfortunately both times weve been there in the last 8-10 months, the service has been horrific. We waited several minutes at the front desk without even being acknowledged (by a nod or smile or even a "be right with you") by a couple of servers, then when we were finally seated, we waited nearly 10 minutes before a server ever came to the table...or even told us shed be with us soon, and I dont recall her even telling us her name. People who were seated after us were greeted, had their orders taken and were eating appetizers before we ever got our drinks. Once our food was served, we were nearly finished eating before the server ever came to check on us - or ask about the food, in fact, by the time she came over, we were asking for boxes to take our uneaten food home. Then we had to wait again for her to run our ticket. My granddaughter DID eat free, and that was a lovely perk. However, the next time I want to eat there, Ill probably opt for takeout so the service wont be an issue.

We visited on the evening of July 4th; there was a good crowd, but it wasnt terribly busy. We were seated right away, and a waitress took our drink order and then vanished - we waited over 20 minutes and never saw her again, while a large party that arrived after we did were given their drinks and had their orders taken. Meanwhile, a young guy, apparently the manager or assistant manager, spent the whole time standing at a table near ours chatting up some of his friends and paying no attention to the customers - it was extremely unprofessional. Finally we just walked out, having never received any drinks or had anyone come to the table. Worst service experience Ive ever had at a restaurant. Red Hot & Blues food is good, but I recommend the Hulen Street location instead. I wont ever be going back to this one.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience ever. Dre was a complete joke! They messed up on our catering order and I was told I would be comped on my next catering order. It would be noted in our register, she said. COMPLETE LIE! When I tried to take them up on the offer and place another catering order, he was not going to honor what I was told by a manager that no longer works at the restaurant. His response was "Im not in the business of giving out free food!" There definitely wont be a next time at this place. Make the trip to Hard Eight BBQ in Coppell, you wont be disappointed and you will be treated much better.

This location is my favorite bbq place in DFW - consistently delicious from the dry ribs to the sliced brisket sandwich "Memphis Style" with the slaw on top. The potato salad is the best ever (I try to replicate, but its just better here). They have great daily specials, and they keep a few select craft beers on tap. Several TVs are mounted throughout usually playing sports, and the bar area is a good place to solo-eat and chat with the regulars with Aaron serving the suds - excellent bartender. I think Im gonna head over there right now...

One of my very favorite place to eat! Memphis style bbq restaurant and bar. Ive had the ribs, chicken, pulled chicken, pulled pork, and turkey! All mouth-watering. For the ribs you can select a dry or wet rub and honestly I like them both. Love their coleslaw, bean, ice cold beer and blues music. Best ever are their sweet and buttery biscuits! I frequent the North Richland Hills, TX location. Place is always clean. The servers are great! Bartender will call you by your name and they take great care!

My wife, baby, and I went here yesterday around 2pm. Only like 2 or 3 people there at the time. We sat down and waiting a while for someone to get our drinks, waited a while for someone to take our food order. We then waited for 30 mins for our food to come out. I got the All-In Burger, my wife had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. They were lucky the food was actually pretty good. I still will never go back because of the bad service and all the wasted time spent there just waiting for service and food.

The service was awesome. The wife and I were happy with the potato salad and the greens, but were disappointed that the meats were bland with very little smoke flavor and relied on BBQ sauce for flavor. Were afraid weve been spoiled by the meats served at Roscoes in Keller. Its a shame because Red Hot & Blue has always been a local go to for good Memphis style BBQ. Well probably be travelling to Keller more often now since the meats here are wanting.

Tonight was my first time eater here, and it was great! Some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. Ribs were fantastic, brisket was perfect, red skin mashed potatoes were awesome, as well as the fried okra. Not to mention it got there incredibly fast, and was fresh! Our waiter was very nice, and accommodating. Service was great, food was great, I would definitely recommend this place. I give it a well-deserved 5 stars.

Not only do we absolutely love their BBQ,but we absolutely love working with the NRH RH&B team! We have had the pleasure of providing them with our graphic and web design services for years now. A lot can be said about a person/team that is truly loyal. We are grateful to have clients like these, and even more grateful that we completely trust (and enjoy) their delicious BBQ, comforting service and ice cold beer!
