I had Sweet Memories do my catering for my wedding. The food and the cake was actually decent and their prices arent that bad. The review above this is right though about that lady going on and on about her self though. My husband couldnt stand her. The big issue I had was with the flowers. She completely misled me. I was under the impression that we were having a florist do them and we were just paying the deposit through her. Apparently she was doing them. Also I specified a few specifics on colors and varieties of flowers I wanted for my bouquet and the boutonnieres I wanted. And they said that was fine and didnt mention anything about that they may not be available or they might not hold up well or anything. They gave me zero advice on any of it. They let me pick them out and said oh yes those will be beautiful. The day of my wedding the flowers show up and the bouquets are the wrong color and the boutonnieres look horrible. They were just on little flower with a pin. I paid over $15 a piece for those. I went by after the wedding and asked her about it and she gave me a bunch of lines about it saying how sometimes things just arent available. I asked her why she didnt warn me about this 6 months back when I was requesting this to prepare me and she had no real answer. I asked her about the boutonnieres not holding up and she said that mini gerberas dont hold up well. I asked her why she didnt warn me about that and she didnt have a real answer for that either. Maybe I would have chosen something different if I would have known all of this. Then there was the whole mess with the DJ. She told us to use i-entertainment and that we could just pay the deposit to her because they have some deal worked out with them. Well they have some lack of communication and it took months for the DJ to figure out that I had paid my deposit and my balance and for me to get any communication from I-entertainment because Sweet Memories wasnt passing on my info.

My much loved mother-in-law passed away last week at the age of 83. After contacting Lucas Funeral Home in Old Town Keller to provide our memorial service, we found ourselves scrambling at the last minute to find a caterer for our Celebration of Life Luncheon immediately following the service. Since it was being held on a Saturday, we were very concerned about finding someone so last minute. Then the Keller Roundhouse, who we had visited as a possible venue location (they were already booked), recommended Sweet Memories Cakes and Catering. What a wonderful find! The owner, Susan Clark, met with our emotional family and was very kind & sympathetic. She went over all the catering options and helped us pick the perfect menu. On the day of the luncheon, she came personally to help with the setup (food/beverages, plates/glasses, and tablecloths) and was so supportive to our grieving family. She organized the food/beverage stations perfectly inside the lovely little venue we booked for the luncheon, the Wild Rose Heritage Center. And the food ... incredible! Artistically created finger sandwiches, cheese/fruit, delicious meatballs, amazing chicken parmigiana on a stick, cupcakes and incredible little chocolate/caramel cones (everyone went nuts for those!!). All our guests sat outside under the large trees in the little park area next to the Wild Rose Heritage Center. With flowers from the service and an acoustical guitarist playing softly in the background, our Celebration of Life Luncheon was beyond perfect. Susan & staff helped us every step of the way and we feel so incredibly blessed to have met them. The day was gorgeous, food amazing and all 50 + guests celebrated my mother-in-law, who I am sure was looking down from heaven with a smile on her face. Its exactly how she would have wanted it. Exactly what our wedding needed. Susan’s food is delicious; it was honestly difficult to decide what to have because we couldn’t have it all! We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding catered by Sweet Memories – two very different food themes but both delicious! They were even kind enough to let use the leftover soda from the rehearsal dinner at the wedding (when we hadn’t requested soda at the wedding). We also had two guests with food allergies (gluten and dairy), Susan went out of her way to prepare a special meal for them both just based off of discussion we had at an initial meeting. Because my parents and I aren’t living in the same state, there was a lot of back and forth regarding final decisions – Susan was gracious enough to deal with all of our last minute requests before the final bill was due. In the end I was so happy to find out that her buffet style service would include her staff serving from the buffet line. I was very pleased that my guests didn’t have to serve themselves for the main course. Everything about Sweet Memories fit our styles perfectly – from the food options to the staff; at our first meeting we spent over 2 hours just chit-chatting with Susan! She is a wonderful person who loves what she does and it shows in her work. Her services are affordable without sacrificing quality. She even made my husband and I a plate with a little bit of everything to be able to take with us to the hotel post-wedding so that we could have a nice meal together after the hustle and bustle of the wedding day! So blessed she could be part of our big day.

This place is great on making delicious cakes, but you better be a client that is having a wedding. Well, that is the impression I got from them. Other than that, you are not important. I had my husband picked up my cake on Saturday, when he brought it home it was wrong. I called them, and they said they couldnt do anything about it, because Susan is out with clients and I can bring the cake back on Monday. I came on Monday and the place was closed. I called the emergency number and the owner said she had the flu and she will deal with it, when she return. On Tuesday, I havent heard anything; therefore I took the cake up there and her staff said she will be in today and she will solve the problem. On Wednesday it is 11:00A.M and I havent heard anything. I call the business and they said she is with a client and she will talk to me later. Now Im confused, but Im a client too. When I arrive up there, she was talking to a client. She made it sound like I wasnt understanding towards her being sick and that is not the case at all. All she had to do is communicate and show her clients that she can be trusted. After all, I did trust you to make a cake for an important event for me. She was well enough to talk to her client.I was dealing with this problem since Saturday. I think I was very patient. Susan all clients are important and remember small orders add up in quantity. Also you never know who is referring you to other businesses or social events.

We ordered our wedding cake here.. amaretto and pink champagne with beautiful calla Lillies and red lace trim. Not only was the cake beautiful and delicious on our wedding day, it was still moist and delectable on our 1 year anniversary! Now that we are planning our son's 1st bday, there's no other bakery we'd ask to help us celebrate this momentous occasion. Wonderful people, excellent cake....a winning combo!

Bangor NSB, WA UPDATE: Our sons 1st bday Cat in the Hat cake was AMAZING! Layers of raspberry cream, lemon, pink champagne, and amaretto amazed everyone in attendance. The tiered cake was an exact replica of the Dr. Seuss hat...tilted top and all! Due to our military service, we flew into Dallas to plan this party, and Susan had less than a week from order to pick-up to get everything together. She was so patient and courteous, youd have thought shed had a months notice. With Susan, you will get quality, professional service and cakes worth every penny you spend!
