Last week we got a family pack of chicken tenders with sides that served four of us and had leftovers for the next day or so. The tenders were excellent. I never thought i would find chicken done this well; light, crunchy, no grease residue. Today we had the 6 spicy tenders (not really that spicy) combo with fries and a large drink. The large drink is huge! Six tenders served as meal for two. We also got the three fried catfish meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. It brought back memories of a place several miles north of Atlanta where they raised the catfish, caught them that day, and stayed open until they sold out. You had to get there early to assure something to eat. The Golden Chick catfish are excellent. Like the chicken, they were light and done just right. The coating was breadcrumbs or coarse cornmeal (Ill check next time Im there and i assure you there will be another time!) and i enjoyed them immensely. As sides for the fish I went traditional and got the mashed potatoes and substituted the drink with green beans. They were another blast from the past experience reminding me of my grandfather in southern Alabama who ate green beans doused with homemade hot pepper sauce. Not that Golden Chick green beans are hot but the texture and flavors were very southern like those served at Wednesday night dinners at chuch. Grandpa Charlie would love them! I regret I have not visited Golden Chick sooner. I just assumed they were "yet another fried chicken place". You know: greasy, cheap cuts of chicken made to look better than it tastes. You bite into it and theres grease inside the skin! That is absolutely NOT the case with Golden Chick. Again, light, tasty, white meat chicken and flakey, light, golden cat fish. Great sides and large drinks. What more can a southern boy ask for? I cant wait to explore their menu some more.

I bought a gift card for my 86 year old Grandmother. But when she tried to use the gift card it didnt work. So because she is 86 and sometimes doesnt know the right questions to ask, I went back to the store. As soon as I walk in I am greeted and the clerk said he would have to get his manager. To make a long story short the manager, Melinda took her time coming over but okay. She asks if I have a receipt and I tell her no but can you check to see if it is working. She advised me to call the # on the back of the card. So I go to the car to get my cell. The # was not a success because it was after hours. There is a website on the back of the card. I tried to put in the card # but it also ask for a pin (which is not on the card). I go back into the store to see if Melinda could assist me. She waived to me one second. I waited 10 minutes, watch her on the line filling drive through orders and she never to me. I finally ask the clerk (that was standing around) if I could just buy another gift card. He has to get Melinda. She finally comes over and never said I am so sorry that one didnt work. Can I help you with anything...nothing. She yells to the clerk she doesnt know where the gift cards are. I have been to this location many many times before with my own family. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of management style and simply the dont care attitude from a manager. Hope they turn things around for the other employees because it cant be easy working with someone like that.

Wonderful chicken, terrible service, really good fries. Other sides were so-so. I had never eaten at Golden Chick before, but they were advertising a good deal, so we tried it out. Seemed the staff was really peeved about honoring the price. We had an ad with several coupons and a large ad on one side for the "30-tender feast" (which wasnt a coupon.) But they asked to see it, and tore out the ad so we wouldnt come in for that deal again. (Dont worry, we wont.) It was a large order, and when we got home, we found they forgot the sauce and one side. Not a big deal, just frustrating since it was the main side my kids wanted. So I drive back to the restaurant, tell them about the error and ask for the rest. Clearly they thought I was trying to rip them off and get free food, but after a minute they gave me the rest. Other restaurants usually offer extras to make up for their mistake & the inconvenince; this staff offered visible signs of irritation & a sense of contempt.

I was one of 4 customers in the shop. The customers were all reasonably quiet, but the shop is anything but quiet. The music is at a tolerable level, but the free ice cream freezer is very loud. The game they have chirps up for 30 seconds every 10 minutes, and you canot carry on a conversation while it is making itself known. As for the food: healthy it is not. Tasty it is. Also, though, pricey it is. I dont eat here often, but sometimes you just want stuff like this. It is better than most other chicken places, but you can feel your arteries harden as you leave.

This was my first experience eating at Golden Chick and I really liked it. Had the spicy strips and some corn nuggets. Restaurant was clean, the man behind the counter was very nice and the food was great. Im not sure what the reviewer who said the strips are like nuggets is talking about. My wife and I both got the #1 combo and it was more than enough food. I actually found the strips to be larger than most fast food restaurants. The roll that came with the meal was also delicious. Overall, great first experience for us and Im looking forward to trying them again.

DO NOT GO to this place unless you want to get chicken F....D (and I dont mean fried). The size of chicken strips are almost as small as chicken nuggets. I ordered a 6 piece and had to eat the box and utensils just to get partially filled-up. I weigh 165lbs. The .86 cents for small gravy is a rip-off. I know this is the price but talk about mark-up. Go to KFC before here.

Always pass by this place everyday but never paid any mind to it till a friend mentioned that their chicken and dinner rolls were awesome. I wasnt to fond of the sides but the chicken and the dinner rolls are definitely a win win. The staff is friendly and like to joke around, so if you got a good sense of humor you can join in and theyll play a long.

Order the 8 piece mix and was told that they only had 2 breast for white meat. Was told that they could substitute 2 roasted white pieces instead, other wise I had to wait 15 minute, so I said ok. We started eating and found only 1 breast. The fried chicken was ok but the roasted chicken was boiled and salty. We will not be come back here.

Came here with my wife for a quick lunch my order was missing two chicken tenders and when i approached the counter to ask them to correct the mistake i was treated like i was trying to steal from them and the manager on duty proceeded to come to the counter and call me a liar and made a huge scene before throwing my missing tenders at me
