My visit to the Firestone in Frisco (Main and Teel) on April 23rd was 100% frustrating, irritating and left me insecure about the work done and angry. The visit was because the battery that I bought from, Clint, at this same store began to fail. So, I went to Firestone and was told its still under warranty but I would need to go the NAPA store that had it in stock to get it. Thinking NAPA would replace the battery, I drove from Firestone to NAPA (30 mins away in the pouring rain# only to find out, they dont install; they also wanted to charge me for the battery because they couldnt take the failing battery out. I explained the entire situation to NAPAs Store Mgr #Jose# and he told me Firestone should have and usually does call them and they deliver and pick up parts on a regular basis. So, why was I told I needed to do these things myself???? NAPAs Store Mgr #Jose# called Firestones Store Mgr #Tommy) and they both agreed that was not what should have happened. Yet, I still had to drive back to Firestone, in the pouring rain to have the replacement installed. I was greeted by Clint who sarcastically said "So I hear you got your battery" Tommy the Store Mgr walked past me more than once and didnt acknowleddge me let alone apologize once. Horrible customer service and sarcasim makes this a store that I will NOT visit again and I will certainly share that this store is the worst when it comes to customer service with any and all who will listen.

I call Firestone Store for Car A/C service week ago and ask for price and someone told me $39.99 for A/C service and $20/lb. Freon, but i was told that they are busy and can take apt. for Tue. i wait for weekend and call and was told to come to store, when i went i was told that i have to leave the car as they are busy and it will take 3 hours, after two hours later i got call and was told that it will cost me $157 and some change, i was with my 8 months daughter who was crying so i ask how much freon will need and was told 19 oz. so i says ok as when i call week ago i know the price and didnt go much into detail, when my wife went to pick up, she was shock that they charge $90 for A/C service + $3 per Oz. freon, this is completely A completely ripoff!!!, as other local store + kwik Kar quote me $49.99 for A/C service + 29.99 for Freon which is still less than $100. My car A/C is still not cooling enough so I have dough whether they fill the Freon, I wouldn’t want to give my business to Firestone anymore as I felt Firestone business practice if not ethical and there moto is just to rip-off customer. This was my last business with Firestone.

Had a flat tire and took my car to another competitor who quoted price of $326 for two tires. Couldnt afford it. Thankfully, I came across Firestone on Main Street in Frisco and in half the price I got two new hires. What a relief that HONESTY still exist in the auto repair industry. A special thanks to Justin, my first time there so I didnt know anyone at the location but Justin was not only professional and knowledgeable but also very kind. A combination which is difficult to find. I didnt say much to Justin but I guess it was apparent that I was stressed out because even though they were super busy Justin assured me that he would get two tires on and he followed through. Thank you so much Firestone for HONESTY and employing people like Justin!

While the staff is very good, the price of services is WAY out of line. Example: new plugs (8) OEM 63.92. At the local auto parts store - $27. A new coil (over plug) 126.02 A BW with a lifetime warranty from auto store - 47.95. I understand the need for a mark up but these were ridiculous. To change plugs $297 - granted they are VERY hard to get to but why did they want to charge me 69.30 to remover the coil (over plug) that they had to remove anyway to change the plugs??? I took it to another shop and they charged me $235 to change plugs (cost of plugs included) and no labor for the removal or install of the coil as the plugs had to come out anyway. I did provide the COP which Firestone (understandably) wouldnt allow. I will NOT be going back.

Avoid like the plague! They will literally commit fraud: "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in *financial* or personal gain." They will upsell, they will require things to be fixed even though they dont need to be. I had a lifetime alignment on my car. They required $640 in replacement of damaged tie-rods when I *just* drove from the dealership where they did a multi-point inspection and said everything looked and ran great! I took it for a 3rd opinion at Christian Brothers Automotive and specifically asked them to check the tie-rods and they said everything looked fine and no need to repair. You might go in for a simple oil change, but youll come out hundreds or thousands of dollars poorer.

Never EVER EVER go here! I had a leak in the seal of my tire. I have $5000 rims on my car. I made a big deal about how I was nervous to have anyone working with my tires because I have paid so much for them, and they assured me that they would have an expert fix the seal and that the rim would be gently removed. Long story short, the tech, Elmor, used a reguar socket instead of a thin wall socket, so he just yanked out the rim and completely scratched all of the chrome off. I had to replace the rim. They paid for it, but it took me doing all of the work to even get them to help. I would never go here, and Elmor needs to get fired. Yeah, they didnt even reprimand him and he clearly has no idea what he is doing.

Ive been using Firestone for all my basic automotive needs for decades now. I once had a bad experience at another store in Dallas (note however that Firestone completely replaced a transmission at their cost when I brought it to their attention), but never this store on Main in Frisco. I think a lot of the negative reviews come from people who dont know much about cars. Theres nothing wrong with that except that it sometimes leads to them walking in with an attitude of mistrust. To be sure, not all mechanics are honest and the potential to be taken advantage of is always there. That being said, I have always found the people at this Firestone at Teel & Main to be polite, thorough, professional and honest.

This firestone location met all my automotive needs, were very polite while servicing. I dont understand the negative reviews, you cant judge an entire store based off a few employees that didnt meet your expectations of perfection. If your looking for a perfect place with flawless servicing then you might as well give up your search for the impossible because there is no such thing as perfect, everyone makes mistakes! The question is how they correct the mistake or handle the situation, not whether or not a mistake was made! Overall this store met all my needs & no there not "perfect"(like no place is) but there good enough to say the job was done tentively! Highly recommend!!
