I love PC Geeks. After wasting a lot of time with one of those on-line, remote-in techs, I took my laptop in to "Don" who agreed with my speculation, "The OS needs to be reinstalled." I love that he took complete responsibility for my data, made an easy-access folder with everything in it and put it on my desktop so that I can go in anytime and see what programs I need (or still want) to install. That was last March. Then about three weeks ago, "Don" confirmed that the reason my fan was coming on high--all the way to maximum RPM--was because, in fact, my processor was over-heating. Yeah, makes sense, but WHY was it over-heating? I wasnt doing anything different. Turns out my heat sink (some copper tubing that holds a particular, heat-conductive gas, had somehow lost its seal and the gas had leaked out. This he found out after following step-by-step procedures to try to cure my overheating problem without automatically jumping to parts replacement. How do I know all this? Am I computer geek myself, just letting someone else do my work for me? NO! Absolutely not. I only know this much because "Don" kept me informed every step of the way as he discovered more and showed me the old part (the entire heat-sink mechanism) after he had installed the new one. You gotta love that! And best of all, now my fan NEVER comes on past its lowest RPM because it doesnt need to. Its like having a new computer, even though Ive had my laptop a little over 5 years.

Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable. I brought an older computer in for service and I had lots of questions about my options to repair vs rebuild. The young man took the time to answer each of my questions and also offered suggestions based on his experience. Fast, efficient, and great price! I checked several other companies like Best Buy and Staples. They quoted me over $600.00 to fix my computer and said it would take at least 3 weeks! I went to PC Geeks and they fixed it for less than half that pice and I got it back within 24 hours!! Wow! Now thats service! I will never go anywhere else! This is my second time turning to PC Geeks in Frisco for big problems with two different PCs (a total hard drive failure, and a blue screen of death I couldnt recover from on my own). I asked them to fix a small hardware bug and after a week, they told me everything was fine with my computer to begin with and gave me a $120+ charge doing something I could have done. Completely regret not doing it myself and Im completely unsatisfied with the time it took to fix along with the amount of money it was. I will be doing my business elsewhere.

I had very bad experience regarding mother board replace i7 after diagnosis. They replaced by i3 without knowing me but charged $182.94. They have to replace i7 instead of i3.
