This place has seriously pissed away my time and money! The equipment is great, price is great, showers are great, hours are great, but standard business practices are so below par a blind golfer would beat out Fitness Connection! First off, you have no way to view statements using the internet. They also send no payment statements via mail or email, so knowing how much you paid and when is a mystery unless you look at your credit card records directly. Any new members should know that membership costs vary immensely! Sign up costs range from $5 to Ive heard $50! Fees month to month are $10, but they sneak in a yearly fee under the radar of ~$36. They pressure you to sign contracts without reading them and feel just like sleazy car salesmen. Cancellation policy is a joke! No ability to cancel at the physical location or through the internet, just expensive verified snail mail. Online services are available for every city except Dallas. Why Dallas is an exception is beyond the scope of my knowledge, but is probably just a way to further restrain you from contract freedom. Wouldnt wanna make business easy to the customer now would we? When my identity was stolen, I had to cancel my credit card. Unknowingly to me, Fitness Connection was still leaching off it (I hadnt been there in months, I was busy, completely forgot about them). It took them, get this, 4 GODDAMN MONTHS TO TEXT ME THAT I WASNT PAYING! UNACCEPTABLE! I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE AFTER THE FIRST LATE PAYMENT! NO WAY TO CONTROL THIS! SAD! I had to shell out ~$90 of extra money on late fees (I believe the contract capped late fees at $40 so I feel they committed fraud. No breakdown of what this money was for) + $40 regular fees when I hadnt even set foot in the property! I didnt wanna give these crooks my new credit card number. They charge late fees if you pay in cash and you have to call corporate to authorize it. Canceled in a heartbeat after that! Just to slap my booty on the way out, they PUT ME ON A DEBTORS LIST, even after I had paid my fees! I had to piss away more time writing dispute letters. The debt collection service gave me more financial confidence than Fartness Connection! This gym has sooooo much potential but is hampered by high employee turn around rates and stone age management practices. If your credit card is never stolen and you are never gonna cancel, this is a great gym. This gym also taught me a great life lesson to never deal with recurring charges: the economic parasites of Satan himself!

A fitness instructor invited me to attend her class, as a guest. I had forgotten my ID, so the employee up front could not admit me. She said I had to ask the manager. He came out and said he needed the ID for the waiver liability and to waive a daily fee. He told me I could opt to pay a daily fee and sign a waiver. I was already there so I agreed. It was like $8..he said. Once I went to his "office", he started the whole high pressure membership pitch. He had the audacity to ask me to sign up for automatic withdrawals. I guess he figured I knew nothing about deceptive bait and switch schemes. All of a sudden, not having an ID was no big deal as long as I signed up. I could use the gym, and I could just bring the ID later. Ridiculous considering one can just as well get injured on day one as on any other day. After all, if the policy really is No ID, no gym use, inviting me to the office to take the daily payment would have been unnecessary. Rather than use a bunch of expletives about his desperate attempt to sidestep the company "policy" as long as he got a commission, I left. After reading so many reviews about how some FC sites are slow to cancel memberships even after customers do everything they ask, I am glad I did not fall for the BS. I do NOT consent to autodraft of anything anyway. Everybody so eager to put their hands in your pocket. It is ridiculous. When I make a commitment to places like this, I pay upfront. Id rather lose a few bucks if I had to cancel than fight with these unscrupluos scavengers about stopping autodrafts. If you are considering this gym, please read reviews first. It seems money hungry, lying managers are quite common.

So far its been a great gym! I havent tried to cancel my membership yet and dont plan on it anytime soon since my husband and I both go and enjoy this gym but ill be extra aware when I do cancel in the future after reading the reviews. The employees are great! We didnt get any products shoved down our throat when signing up and we signed up during the $1 enrollment special and it literally only cost us $1 each. we pay 21 and some change a month each and we love the kids center they have. The ladies in there are nice and I dont have to worry about my son while we are working out and its so convenient! We dont have to worry about finding a sitter or anything. The kids center is INCLUDED in our membership and ALL the classes they offer are included as well! I LOVE dance fitness and zumba! they also offer a core class, yoga, and a couple others i believe. Theres Tv rooms, saunas, womens only areas, trainers, tons of equipment and free weights and much more. I havent had a complaint about this gym yet but from the other reviews i will be aware if we ever need to cancel. The kids center is what sold me on this gym for sure though! No excuses if you can take your kids with you at NO extra charge!

Nice gym for the price. Never have a problem getting a machine and the classes are pretty good. The only two complaints I have is I wish they would get some wipes...I hate having to spray whatever that stuff is onto paper towels!! And my second complaint is that it is always FREEZING in that place. I have to always wear long sleeves. And yes, I warm up when I start working out, but I can feel the breeze from those fans blowing right on me and I do not like to feel that while Im working out. My husband doesnt like that it is so cold either so he goes to a different gym now. Contrary to others, I was told from the beginning (because I asked), that I had to write a letter to cancel; I wrote a letter, and his membership was cancelled, no problem. Since they received it after the first, I had to pay for a full month that he didnt use it, but I expected that as well. Again, for the price, this is a really decent gym. Ill keep spraying on a paper towel and wearing long sleeves...even in the summer! :)
