I have been going here since 2004 in Garland when I was a teenager. It has been my only gym since then and couldnt have asked another place. The place is huge and there is so much to do. Parking spots are everywhere. It is definitely the best gym around. Expensive compared to others, but it is expensive due to how there is so much to do here, how big it is, and how much it costs to run this place; plus it is like a second home. I have once been at the gym for the whole day and even slept there. If it was any cheaper, this place would be overcrowded. Still, it is packed on the weekdays at the current price. I wouldnt be surprised if it went up even more due to a high demand. In recent years though, it has gone downhill a bit in cleanliness. One of the main problems is that it isnt always clean, especially in the bathroom. I have been to the Frisco one and that place is always cleaned up no matter how many people is there. The equipment always has dust and I can see a lot of dirt and dust on the floors. Also, one thing I hate is how the price rate keeps going up. Like it isnt expensive enough. If it does continue to climb up especially for someone that has been going there for so long, I will cancel my membership and go somewhere else. Shouldnt be rising the rates every 6 months like that. I used to have $45 a month and now I am at almost $60. Overall, this gym is the place for everyone that wants to stay in shape, enjoy a break from reality, and best of all for the family. Btw loving the new machines at the cardio zone a couple months back. It is pricey and it isnt perfect, but I still enjoy going there and couldnt ask another place. As a bodybuilder, I will continue to have a membership here for a lifetime pun intended. Just please, start cleaning this place more up!!! Dont want it to become ghetto. :( I will give you 5 stars if I see an improvement in how clean the place is.

We joined the club a couple of years ago and like most NEW businesses, service was pretty good, the place clean and well kept. Over the last year or so, the entire gym is dirty with dust balls & dirt clods.. They spot clean, but you see dust and dirt in every corner of the place. Not just some corners, just about every corner or under weight machines, or treadmills. You can tell they dont clean it on a regular basis....but only enough to get the big stuff in the open. And if theyre skimping on that, I can ONLY imagine theyre skimping on the bacteria and mold in the locker rooms. We have two boys playing basketball and trying to get a court is next to impossible. Not because they dont have enough or have too many basketball or volleyball players. But rather they are renting the courts to outside companies. We were there twice the last month and 1 court was used for fitness, 1 for Select Volleyball, 1 for Karate, 1 for kids (3 to 5 year olds) basketball (had to sign and pay) and 1 for full court basketball. When the Karate court open, the Select team had already paid to have it too. So yes, I am now funding through my dues a Select Volleyball team and dont know anyone on the team. So there were about 30 to 40 people wanting to use the BASKETBALL courts and only 10 could play at one time. I have stopped recommending Lifetime and are in search of another facility that provides what they promise. And will keep it clean.

Its a great gym no doubt with lots of amenities. I feel the price is what you get. However when my work and school schedule stopped allowing me time to go, its not a monthly fee that seems justified. I went in to cancel, the customer service rep talked to me about putting it on hold for 10 dollars a month to keep my same rate of I came back. We did that. She forgot to mention though that there were fees for doing this and that they also were going to charge for another half month later on. I went in there twice to resolve this, cancel for good, and ask for a refund but all that is done is they write my complaint in a little piece of paper and weeks later nothing has been resolved for me. I keep wasting time going in there for extra fee charges when Im busy at work managing projects. Poor customer service experience. And to Mr. Jess Sheperd, who posted that racist comment below. Your intellect reflects in that ridiculous unnecessary comment you made as well as in the fact you state your full name. Your attitude is the only thing that stinks and people like you give this gym a bad rep. I wouldnt be saying those things. Someone can find out a lot about you with just your name and show you how they feel about your comment: Too many filthy gross mongrel heathen mexicans, muslims, hindus & asians making the fitness club smell horrible. Too many perverted homosexual aliens in mens locker room. Just saying.

Its a really nice gym. Their only every busy on Monday and Tuesdays when people are off of work but even then its not that bad, still plenty of machines open and space. The front desk people are useless, every level entry question I asked was given with a dumbfounded look and a shrug. But thats my only grievancey. Talking about pricing if your wanting to use all the extras they have at this gym the pool, rockwall, racket ball, etc. then I think its worth the price. I got a deal being a student and being under 26 (which I guess gives you a discount) and I only spend $55 month to month. People that dont think you have to pay a lil extra for all the gym offers is not realistic. To me that didnt seem bad considering I couldnt find a gym with everyting I wanted. Wait for a special, hangle them down and theyll give you the price you want. Good gym. Good price if you try. Good employees (besides the undertrained front desk staff.)

Only if you have money to burn. I was not as impressed with this gym as their staff and price think that I should be. We went there to see about a membership and to try a day pass. $159/month for a family (3 adults/1child). Thats if we sign a 1 year contract AND put down $118 in initiation costs. We would have signed for the $159 but not with initiation fees. Ive been a member of LA Fitness for over 4 years and my wife for 2 ( both with $0 down). LA offers more clubs at a better price. The sales people at Lifetime seem haughty and arrogant and unwilling to do what it takes to make their guest ( or future guests) happy. Whenever I have had a problem with LA they are already care of it. I dont get the same feeling of customer service at Lifetime, plus Im paying $60 less per month ( even after adding my son) with NO initiation fees. Not really a difficult choice for us.

Stay away from this gym. They have no care for their customer. ZERO customer centricity. I was lied to over and over again. Was told that I could cancel my 1 year contract by (Ben) and all I had to do was pay 3 months dues. I came in 6 months later to cancel and they told me that was a lie. On top of that they were not willing to work with me and said there is nothing we can do for you. I said whatever and that I would honor the contract. Then when finally came in to cancel and they guy said I wont owe another penny. I also changed my card on file and signed a form. Figure out I was charged again for another month and my card was never changed. I went to ask for that extra month to be refunded and they refused. I will never go to Life Time Fitness again.
