A well organized visitor center just at the side of the main freeway to Harlingen. The silver topped lady was very friendly. She still worked on the day of Christmas Eve. She had given me a good introduction to South TX, the history, geology...Opened my eyes to the beauty of soul of the deep South TX. Her introduction made my trip more meaningful, more pleasant. A lot of thanks to you, my great southerner lady! A lot of thanks to Visitor Information Center employees, wherever I went, I had the warm introductions!

Its a great little information center thats located in the middle of a bunch of major highway roads in town. The staff is always happy to help, and its easy to find the Texas maps & information brochures that you need for every reigion in the state.
