Please Google their reviews online. I need to warn others of this company. DNB cost our family thousands and have cost many others. DNB is committing fraud on numerous levels. This is NOT an issue of incompetent technicians. All of my complaints are voiced by others online. I wish we had read the reviews. Now, we have los thousands on attorney fees, repairs, lost wages... Our home warranty company sent DNB Plumbing or DNB Home Service (whatever their name is this week). DNB was suppose to come out within 24 hours but didnt make contact for 3 days while we had water leaking in our home. The DNB "plumber" took our $75 home service deductible. That was his only concern. He then claimed we didnt have a leak as I was listening to water drip in our bathroom! DNB has a history of telling others the same or not making the necessary repairs. The DNB plumber also damaged our air conditioner when he was in our attic. So two days later when we finally got the approval from our home warranty company to send out a real plumber to fix the obvious leak in our bathroom, this new plumber noticed the air conditioner had been damaged and we had been losing Freon for the past 2 days. So what should have been a minor leak in our bathroom ceiling is now the least of our problems. Due to DNBs negligence, we now had water damage in our 1st floor bathroom ceiling AND extensive water damage in our 2nd floor home theatre. We also had no air conditioning. We live in the Houston area in the Summer, with 2 small children. We thought we could make one night without a/c since the a/c wasnt turned off until late in the evening. Our infant woke up in the middle of the night coughing and crying so much that we considered taking her to the hospital. We had to purchase small air conditioning units and lived in one room for a week while the repairs were then made by a reputable company that we personally hired. The owner of DNB never returned my call and took 2 days to respond to an email but only after we told her that we were sharing our story with a local consumer report news team and had spoken to an attorney. The common thread here, she will never acknowledge any guilt. She is entitled, never apologized, and claimed I was harassing her. This is not the type of person you want in your home. Imagine the types of employees shes hiring. The decent plumbers with a conscience have posted online that they couldnt sleep at night when they worked for her. The lies are endless. They told our home warranty company that they had come out on July 8. They didnt even make contact until we called and they came out July 11th. They claimed that we didnt pay the $75 service fee so they could keep it. That took 2 hours on the phone with the warranty company to resolve. There are other online posts since 2015 and previous customers who have had the same issues with stolen deductibles, DNB not making contact, refusing to make repairs, and the owners inability to take any responsibility. The woman who is running the company is the ex wife and friend (Val or Valerie Ambrovich Blake) of the owner, David Nathaniel Blake (DNB). She has NO business trying to run a plumbing company (or several variations of the name DNB Plumbing). Her previous employees are even willing to attest to her fraud. Research them. They have posted online about her defrauding customers and home warranty companies. Her only positive Facebook review was posted BY HER! She writes her own positive reviews and has never apologized to any previous customer whos posted a review. Is that the type of people you want to entrust your home to? Take it from someone who has been a Realtor for over 15 years. Hiring unqualified workers will cost you. I should have known better and this is why I feel an obligation to protect and warn other homeowners.

Called American Home Shield about the pipes for upstairs toilets and showers are leaking into downstairs ceiling. Turns out they are not installed correctly per code. DNB was assigned by AHS. They sent first technician out to assess the repairs needed and said hed be back in 3 days to complete them. Appointment cancelled due to hurricane Harvey. A week and a half later my new appointment rolls around, only DNB did not come to do the work. Instead they sent 2 new guys who gave me an entirely different opinion than the first guy. In fact, they wouldnt even mention the other guy. The 2 "Master Plumbers" were talking secretively about how to delay the job. They mentioned several times about how much work it would be, I just got the impression that they didnt want to do the job. They concluded that I would need to cut into load bearing floor joists in order to repair the plumbing, and that unless I called a carpenter to come assess the integrity of the joists, they wouldnt do the repair. So I had a carpenter look at it, and while he was here he pointed out that the proper fix for the problem was just to cut and shorten a $2 piece of PVC and raise the P-Trap to obtain the desired slope to drain. I called DNB back to tell them what the carpenter said. DNBs master plumber says he will not change his opinion and the lady on the phone said I needed to call someone else who cared basically. So DNB successfully wasted 3 weeks of my time because they were incapable of completing and properly assessing the repairs needed on my house. I had to call AHS back and get another company, hopefully competent this time, to do the job. Advise not wasting your time with DNB. Worst experience ever!

The technician was knowledgeable and very informative. Or so I thought until I had to get a second opinion. I was told that my main drain was cracked and that it would cost me thousand of dollars to replace it. I was upset, but was willing to do what I needed to repair my home. I stayed in contact with DNB plumbing for over a week and they continually failed to contact me back. Every time my wife called they said that they would give us a quote that day. She would call back and they never did. After a weeks time, we had to contact another plumber, who flushed out or drain and now our whole plumbing works. Praise God! DNB plumbing tried to manipulate us and make us believe that the issue was worse than it was and did not try alternatives that would be more cost effective. Although the technicians and staff were friendly in discussion - it was not enough to cover up the lack of professionalism and follow though that we did not receive. We were charged two services fees of $100 because they claimed that our problems were two separate problems -which they werent. Also, they charged me $125 cut off my pool line because they claimed that it was in the way, but it wasnt nor would have been if they would have flushed out the main line. Overall, Im grateful that my issues have been handled but this company did nothing to fix that. They just caused unnecessary stress on my family and $225 of unnecessary fees. I did not independently contact this company. My home warranty company, AHW, did; therefore, I would be cautious as to whom is refereed to fix repairs.

The plumber walked in the door, complained about having to work on the 3rd floor, looked at the stopped drain, said he had no access point, collected his check for the service call and proceeded to leave. Before he left, he offered that if we worked with his company directly (without the use of our home warranty) they would be able to fix the problem, they just couldnt fix it under the "constraints" of the home warranty. The price he quoted was 46.8% higher than the price of the company who did the work. We hired Nicks Plumbing and using their smallest auger, the technician was able to clear the stoppage in 15 minutes using access straight down the shower drain as we had expected would be done. We were also told by the DNB employee that drain-o caused the stoppage to turn into concrete inside of the pipes and that the pipes would need to be cut. We were told by the plumber that fixed the problem that drain-o would not cause that to happen and this was somewhat of an urban legend. Three days after the DNB service call, DNB Services still has not reported the details of the service call to our home warranty company. We had to call to prompt the warranty company to call DNB. Because of that delay, we had to wait an additional three days without a working bathroom before proper service could be dispatched. I open the opportunity for an employee from DNB Services to explain from their side what transpired on this order. PO# 5471-1805, WO# 54711805, 7/28/15.
