Was very frustrated about a hold not being placed while I was out and incongruent schedules posted online that were no longer active at the gym. of the country despite speaking to numerous staff. Ended up being they spelled my last name wrong when signing me up. The Activity Director Jon resolved it within a day. This location is very clean and towels are provided. I joined for the Yoga classes and most of them are okay, one instructor is excellent. Problem is, the class is FULL to the point of people bumping into each other. Parking can be a nightmare here, so take that into consideration if youre wanting to attend classes. They have a huge childcare area that parents can use while working out, which I think is great for all those parents needing a workout.

I would not waste my money on these selfish and no good people, most of the staff there are two face and talk abt the executive guy Brandy is so very prejudice man, he blacks folks working there just bc he need to show respect but if it was up to him he would only have white people. Pliz pliz dont give to partners campaign at the end they never have money never so where does the money go not to the pooooooor but to the rich and richer. If they really help the low income we would really see the real real poor people. They say they serve low income but that is to cover their two face ... I ve learned allot from them. I used to be a volunteer for weekley ymca. Dont give ur money dont....

The Weekley YMCA is my place to exercise as well as to be involved with helping the community around it. The exercise room is spacious, with plenty of treadmills, elliptical machines, bicycles, free weights and exercise machines. The staff is friendly. But, the Weekley YMCA is more than a gym, they are a cause. For example, they provide free life-saving swimming lessons to young people, volunteers like me tutor elementary school school students from a nearby ESL Shearn Elementary, and they provide seniors with activities. The list goes on. If youre looking for an affordable gym, look no further, but if youre looking for community involvement, this is the place for you.

The basketball leagues have good competition but the refs allow way too much reaching. The refs job isnt to change the game, but to prevent a physical level of play that leads to fights. Its a balance they didnt always try to keep. One ref also made a racist remark that was inappropriate, which I resent. A player drove the lane and three white guys collapsed and he called a foul. When the player went to the line they collaborated with a smile and the ref remarked "get out the white sheets". Pathetic. You can have fun playing in this league but there are better organized, classier leagues around Houston.

Best YMCA in Houston. I have tried every gym out there. From Golds, 24hr, Planet Fitness, Fitness Connection. As a NASM Faculty Member and Personal Trainer Myself, this is the gym where i do my personal workouts. Im a single daddy so i also love their childcare services. To meit seems all the BAD review that are being written are done by disgruntled employees, or people who wanted their money back once they had already used the facility. No facility will ever be perfect...but WEEKLEY is the best bang for your buck in houston!

I love this YMCA. The people here are wonderful, especially the greeter, Marvin. They have a lot of wonderful youth programs, and they provide good childcare when I go to use the treadmill. However, the woman who runs the childcare room is rude and unprofessional. She spoke to me very condescendingly, and made some vaguely racist remarks (Im Hispanic). However, the other workers in the room are great, and my kids always have a good time.

My children and I have had a wonderful experience at this Y. The family pool is clean and well supervised by the lifeguards and Juan Nada, the pool manager. Lap pool is only crowded during swim lessons. Child services are excellent. My kids have played Y soccer, baseball and taken karate lessons. Top notch pros here. Adult workout room upstairs is impressive and rarely crowded. Love it!

One of the better free-weight rooms around. They have a Half Rack with band pegs, for those who do serious lifting. Great staff. Very clean & friendly. I come during off-peak hours because I am very strong and need most of the 45# plates. The equipment is constantly updated and kept in top shape. 5 stars if they buy more 45# plates.

I live in the Heights but I make the extra drive to come to this location. I love the child care facility here. The personal trainers and dietitians here are also amazing. Theyve helped me lose over 20 pounds so far. Cant say enough great things about the Weekley Y!

I love the YMCAs better than 24 hour...simply because I love to do cardio while watching television. It helps me to stay focused and stay on much longer...I attend 3 locations. Weekley, Trotter and Tellepsen. :) Enjoy your workout

This has been the worst experience i have had with a YMCA, unorganized, rude and not willing to help rectify their mistakes. if i could give them no stars i would. I will definitely not be back to this y nor recommend.

Locker rooms are awful. Small, not clean, no room to get dressed. Showers flood. Really pretty bad. The overall gym is nice, but there are other YMCAs in not as nice areas of Houston that are way better than this.

Swimming lessons at this location are awful, the instructors have no teaching skills, if u are enrolling a toddler you are better off teaching him yourself. This swimming lessons are a waste of time and money.

Great equipment that is new and up to date unlike a lot of the other gyms in the area. The outdoor swimming pool is also heated and the classes for adults / kids, swim team is great.

Nice local YMCA. Relatively new, with a basketball court, swimming pool, workout rooms/classes, and many machines upstairs. Convenient parking out front.

I visited here a few weeks ago. I did the water slide 5 times, look around the YMCA, went upstairs to the Exercise and had a great time!
