Came to this gym cause I was out of town for the day and needed to get my workout in. I have a sport level membership that I have had for probably the past 4 years and then even longer before that as part of a family membership. Not only have I been a long time member but Ive also been an employee of the company as well. While I didnt know it was super sport before getting there I didnt think it would be a big deal to go in to get a single workout. The first girl was going to let me in for a complimentary workout, like anywhere else would, but then another chick jumped in a revoked it. They said that I had already used my apparently "once in a lifetime" super sport free workout and could not have another, which I know for a fact isnt even how it works. Despite all of this, they were very rude and I was turned away unless I wanted to pay basically the equivalent of an extra membership fee to workout one time, that total Bull$&@! When you have a loyal customer and former employee who needs to get one freaking workout you dont make a big deal about semantics you do the appropriate thing and keep the client happy. If I was new to 24 hour this would have turned me off completely but I know there are much better locations with WAAAY better staff. One of the main reasons I use 24 is because theyre very prevalent and open 24 hours and I can have access to a gym wherever I travel and dont have to pay to get in to another gym. This totally screw up that core ideology. Im just so pissed off at this location its not even funny. Worst experience ever and didnt even get passed the door.

Blown away! Beautiful 24hr fitness. Ive been a member at 24hr in the past at other locations, recently renewed and have been going to the Meyerland location as its slightly closer. I have to say, after a walk round the facility today I was just amazed. The place is huge, its so clean, and the members seem to respect the facility. No trash, no paper towels on the floor, no hogging equipment and all the weights seem to be re-racked. It was really spacious compared to other 24hrs which seem to be cramped for space. The Rice location has three levels and it has a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, a really nice Basketball and Racquetball area. I was really really impressed and I have to say, the guy at the front desk was top class. He offered to show me around and answer any questions.. yet at Meyerland they have never even said hello or enjoy your workout, or if you have any questions come and see me! Like I said, really really nice gym and well worth what I paid for a six month membership. Im so pleased I picked this as my home gym when I signed up! Cant wait to head that way this evening. - by the way, just went through the feedback below and completely disagree with what has been said, but I will repost if I find anything that is not up to scratch. I was super impressed today and Ive got a degree in Phys Ed and have been in a lot of top gyms over the years. This one has to have all you need unless you are playing for Dynamo, Rockets or Texans! Great value for the $.

I have been a member to many gyms in my life worldwise and I have to say that this is worst "premium gym" I have ever seen. The management is only focused on selling memberships and personal training sessions. All the staff at this location is either in sales or training; there will be a person behind the front desk folding towels that may or may not acknowledge your existence when you walk in the front door. Notice that has no management reply to any of the negative reviews because they dont care. Fat, old and out of shape instructor! Personal trainners playing on phone. Very inspiring!!! Locker room smells like dingy towels and the restrooms always smell like pee. Wet sauna is broken. A lot of members gets in the sauna (in this case dry) wearing workout outfit and tennis shoes, without previous shower. We all know that sauna is a favorable inviroment for fungus! Swimming pool? Disgusting dirty! Aqua Arobic classes where is it? The weights are scattered across the gym and almost never in their designated rack. Always a wait for equipment use and a lot of them broken. Water fountains are constantly out of order and when they work they are not cold and not filtrated.! TRX equipment is constantly being moved. Very Disappointing!!!

My family come to this place often because it is close to the medical center. A horrible thing happened right in front of me as I was dropping off my daughter at the kids club! A little African American boy was socking/punching away on an asian kid who was sucking on a pacifier. I saw this and my immediate reaction was to raise my voice and tell him to stop. The person working at the kids club says; "they have been at it since earlier today"? I thought to myself? "WHAT?" She walked away and pulled the Asian kid away from the little black kid. I asked how old they were and she said 2 years old. She told me it was normal behavior for kids this age. Really?? This is not normal behavior for me. I was appaulled at the thought that there are children out there who are this violent towards other kids and some people deem it as normal behavior!! I believe that places like this should immediately act when another child is beating on another. Remove these types of kids from the premesis. Call their parents and tell them what happened instead of ignoring the problem. No excuses. Parents pay close attention to your kids!

Gym would receive 5 stars, but they only have one lying leg curl machine and two other hamstring curl machines that no one uses, one of which is always broken. The other is this uncomfortable rok it hamstring curl. Theyre so many good hamstring curl machines available on the market. The only good lying hamstring curl they have is always taken! My other complaint is the leg press. Again this machine is always taken, but they have two worthless hack squat machines. Are you telling me they cant replace one of them with another weighted leg press. I cant be the only person complaing about this because people turn into vultures when they need to use the leg press. My membership cost $40 a month. I believe this is too expensive to get machines I never use or when I want to use them, they are always taken. The pros are that they have these cool stretching area with plenty of unique machines. And the dumbbell/barbell area for the most part is always clean. I probably wont be renewing my membership with this gym at the end of the year.

I have been a member of this club for many years. lately, they seem to be incapable of making it a decent place to work out. many machines are not operating properly, and when you reported to the front desk, they always tell you they are aware of the situation but they stayed broke for many weeks. some precors and stairmaster are not operational; the one that works, either audio or video is not working. Either either they dont care enough to get them fixed or they are not getting the repair persons who know what they are doing. another major issue is the swimming pool.. for the past two months or so, the water is either overflow, or under level or dirty. there is always something wrong with the pool. I have complained so many times that I simply gave up. the people that managing this club DO NOT CARE. it is very frustrating and disappointing. I am seriously looking for other club to join.
