The boyfriend and I just signed up with Planet Fitness. We travel for a living, so the many locations and 24/7 hours work very well for us. Here in TX we have been to three locations: Spring Branch, Barker Cypress, and now Humble. This gym is totally good. A great place to workout any time. Despite the fact that it was fairly crowded, I had no issues using all of the equipment that I wanted to use, which included a mat in the stretch room, an elliptical, two ab machines, and four upper body machines. I did not have to wait to use any of these. Other folks exercising were polite and friendly. The equipment was clean and well-maintained. Contrary to some of the reviews here, we had no issues with the front desk staff...we checked in and that was it, no problems. The main differences between this PF and the other two locations were as follows: - More people working out than at the other two locations - Slightly less clean than the other locations I did give 4/5 because overall this PF had more trash lying around both in the workout areas and in the locker rooms. I also did not see staff members cleaning, as I have observed at both of the other TX locations Ive been too. Still, it was reasonably clean and I had a perfectly good experience.

Im new to gyms and here is my experience as a newbe. Planet Fitness is perfect for those wanting easy and economical access to equipment. There is plenty of workout equipment. The encouragement of non judgemental additude is great for beginners who would otherwise feel uncomfortable. Showers are very clean. My pf has private changes rooms next to the showers so I just have a few steps in a towel. No public nudity is necessary. I worried about that as I am personally modest. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is staff is few and often truly unable to give a real intro to the gym. But the machines are easy to figure out. I would recommend planet fitness did more instructional videos on some of their most common machines and make it easy to find on their site, please. One of the videos they already have helped me to know how to change the weight level on a machine. I personally use several weighted machines for stength in the thirty minute work out area. There are clear pictures on each machine in that area that shows what muscles that machine works on. I also use several different machines for combined strength and cardio. For that there are lots of running/walking machines, eliptical machines and bikes. In all, Im very pleased.

I have been coming to this gym for almost a year now. I come multiple times a week and at various times but mostly early mornings. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the facilities are always clean. I do my workout and tan or get in the body enhancement. Depending on the time of the day, there may be a wait- but not more than 5 minutes... & every gym or salon has a wait during peak times. I was a member at Lifetime (they dont even have tanning beds) & they were always wanting more money-- trainers, spa services, always something they wanted me to buy on top of my already outrageous membership fees & dues. I wasted so much money there! One year at Lifetime cost me over $700 more than one year at Planet Fitness. At Planet Fitness, their fees are very straight forward & there are no extra costs. Sessions with the trainer or group workouts are INCLUDED! The atmosphere is exactly as they advertise- "Judgement Free." I enjoy the Humble Planet Fitness. Visiting this Planet Fitness makes me have a GREAT day!

The staff is decent and most often friendly ans helpful. The morning/day manager is not so. Shes snarly and ignores members upon entering generally. If the staff is expected to greet members friendly, then management should set the example and do the same. If doing reports or what not, thats what an office is for. The place was great when it first opened. Its not as clean anymore. Staff is always wiping down the machines, but theres dust in the corners and and bathroom is fair, but could be better. The tanning beds always have hair, smudges and body oil on them, even though the staff wipes the beds down. Most of the creepy dust and hair is on the underside, which clearly isnt cleaned and vacuumed when maintenance is performed. I know what it takes to clean them and these are done properly. The equipment is great though, always seems to be in working order. Rarely are they down long.

Wish I wouldve read the reviews before joining, as I was told it was a month to month membership, the reason I joined. Now after not going for the past 4 months this months fee came out. So I was thinking if its going to come out then Ill use it. Nope I was told until my balance of $129.02 is paid I cant use the facilities. I wouldnt mind paying my balance that I was unaware of, IF I could use the services I paid for while waiting for my paycheck. I was told no though. Although after calling another location (which was listed as customer service)they were shaking their head, as they would handle it differently. Now I guess I wont be continuing my planet fitness experience. Btw I also wasnt given a tour, one reason why I stopped going in August, I didnt know what anything was. Very disappointed, but I can join another place.

Estuve con mi familia buscando información a ver si nos convenía inscribirnos....la atención fue excelente. Nos dieron un tour por todo el local, explicaron la utilidad de cada máquina, la dinámica, normas y beneficios del cliente. Me pareció que la dotación, organización novedosos servicios le otorgan un buen background. Sin embargo, los costos para todo el grupo familiar nos hicieron desistir....

My parents and I joined this gym over Golds Gym because we didnt like the loud music that Golds Gym played. When we toured Planet Fitness, they were not playing loud music. After we joined, the music became loud and the workers there claim that there was nothing they could do to turn it down. They said it was controlled by Corporate Headquarters. When I asked for the phone number for Corporate Headquarters so that I could contact them, they said that they were sorry but they were not allowed to give out that information. I was trying to listen to my own headset and could not hear it over the loud music. Also, if that was not bad enough, their music had commercials that were even louder than the music. I dont recommend this gym at all.

I have been a member for a couple of months. I pay for two (2) memberships there with the same bank account. They somehow managed to lose my information on only 1 of the accounts (this is odd as both of the memberships are on the same account) but charged the other one correctly so they made me redo the verification process. This was a Planet Fitness error not mine and they still charged me a $10.00 late fee even though I asked that they wave the late fee since it was there mistake. I asked for a Planet Fitness headquarter phone number or even to speak to a manager to resolve this and was denied this information and request. The gym equipment is fine as its mostly new.
