This facility is oversold. Nice facility, but they have no idea how to run a high end gym. It is the growing pains of a new facility they are suffering from. Today was the stick that broke the camels back. There is still room in the Houston market for a high end gym like equinox if someone can execute the operation. Building a facility is always easy, it is another thing to keep one running. The Equinox Gyms in Dallas are run very well, I will just stick to using the Dallas facilities and avoid this one when in Houston. The problem was my expectations were high after using the Dallas locations since 2014. I would avoid this one for at least a year. In a year they should have worked out all of their bugs. I will try back in a year, by then maybe the issues will be solved and I can change this review. Just checked in, the new STEAM ROOM is out of order again and according to the front desk will not be repaired for four (4) weeks, and by the way they constructed the roof flat so it will drip hot water on everyone. I hope they are going to fix that the staff could not answer that question. I hope I get a response to that question here on line.

Equinox has a diverse array of modern, cutting edge training equipment that should suit almost any training style. Much of the equipment, such as the Woodway motorless treadmill and the bumperweight power platform are difficult to find elsewhere. The facilities are clean and well supplied and there are numerous amenities, such as fast WiFi, plush seating areas, eucalyptus infused refrigerated gym towels, mouthwash and razors which add convenience and luxury to the membership experience. The staff is very friendly and the trainers are very knowledgeable. Also, for me, the location near the Galleria in the heart of the Uptown area is very convenient. All in all, I feel the gym is an excellent value.

I can speak nothing but good things about this gym and overall company!. From the initial enrollment to my daily workouts. I have worked in the health and fitness industry for several years and this is the most well maintained fine tuned machine I have ever had the pleasure of working out at. I look forward to ever single check in and appreciate the front desk greeting me by name every time without fail! It is definitely worth the investment and i highly recommend to anyone no matter what your current fitness level. P.s. Absolutely amazing personal training staff. Thanks for the experience

Its a nice facility but they STILL have not FIXED the steam room. That is one of the reasons why I joined this gym. Its been over a month and a half and they still dont care to fix it. Im paying 157.00 for my membership. I also have a membership at Lifetime and Lifetime is 1000 times better. They have a working steam room always and they also have a sauna and pool. When I went to the gym today, they were out of shampoo and conditioner in one of the showers. The place can get really crowded in the morning and no room to get ready. The classes are the only thing worth anything.

I love the atmosphere here, I have a membership to all the other lifetimes but this place is my favorite place to workout. Within two months I lost 27 pounds and found my passion for working out again. This was due to Rebecca and Michael doing an excellent job at management and keeping the place running top notch. Everything is very clean and the equipment is top of the line. Lifetime city centre should learn from this facility because this place makes that place look like trash. The trainers here actually have talent and are educated unlike the trainers in city centre.

I visited this place at around 8:30 pm on a wednesday for the tour of the facility and was going signup to take advantage of no innitiation fee and was told that sales staffs were not available and there was 3 unattentive and unprofessional front desk staff who didnt even offer to show the facilities nor had the knowledge of sales staff schedule.

I love the customer service, cleanliness of each equipment and Fresh clean air when Im working out. Each time I visit the club, the staff are always ready to help! Equinox River Oaks has Everything to offer like Spin, Group, Barre, Pilates, Yoga, Spa and exclusive Personal Trainers! Truthfully, youll love it here just like me.

Amazing gym! Always super clean and the staff is very attentive. Not sure why someone said trainers make you get off a machine so they can use it? Thats ridiculous. Trainers are friendly and extremely helpful, even if youre not a client of theirs. Lockers rooms are immaculate with top of the line products. Sign up!

Went to this location at 7:20 pm to tour the facility and join but they all there gym advisers were gone for the day!! I cant believe that they dont have anyone there at this time ! I have heard bad things from a couple of people of how poor the service is compared to there other locations, so far not impressed !

Very nice gym but ran poorly especially compared to other Equinox facilities Ive been to. Perhaps a change in management and/or associates would make all the difference. I know this location is fairly new but thats not a valid excuse. This place needs some serious help.

No day/guest passes and the front desk staff is laughably pretentious. Sales staff doesnt arrive until 9am, so if you are traveling, go ahead an lose all hope for a morning workout. Good thing there are several other gym options nearby. BYE EQUINOX!!!

The managers Rebecca and Michael are excellent and know how to run a good club. The trainers are hard workers and give great fitness tips. With 8 sessions with a trainer from there I lost 23 lbs in a month and half. Great Place.

Chad Neals classes are worth the membership alone. Hes amazing, personable, and helped me see results. Its a great, clean, high end facility. The steam rooms are even fixed!
