If i could give no stars that would be better. I started a membership with fitness connection in Irving, TX and it was understood and explained to me that it was no contracts, month to month, no cancel fees. I called to cancel and they were not willing to help me they said i had to mail a letter and wait 30 days also said i would be charged another month This issue is for both me and my wife. We refuse to pay anymore to a company that has lied to us and calls us all times of the day while I am at work on my work phone. I have asked them multiple times to stop calling me and cancel the membership of me and my wife and i get no help, Asked to speak with a supervisor was on hold for 15 minutes and then i get voice mail and no returned phone call to make this right.. You cant advertise no contract and then say in the contract it says 30 day notice written. I never received any contract the guy whom i signed up with was filling out stuff on a computer and never let showed me what he was doing i assumed like any other membership i had in the past that this was an honest company but they are not. Any tactic to get you hooked on their no contract - contract.. they will use it. I would like both of our memberships cancelled and to never be contacted by this company ever again. last contact i want from them is a letter stating our memberships are cancelled and that we do not owe them and they do not owe us. I refuse to pay a company that lied to me. Also at the store the manager looked like she hasnt taken a shower in weeks her hair was nasty and messy. very unprofessional as she stood there and listened to me explain my situation to tell me she cant help me, and they will not stop calling me no matter what. As i was walking out the door she and another employee were talking about the situation between me and the manager which she shouldnt have said anything about my membership information. I thought that stuff was confidential. Could have at least waited til i was all the way outside before she started talking about me. Horrible experience and wouldnt recommend my worst enemy to this place!

Ive been a member and using the gym regularly for about 6 months now. I think this is a great gym, its always clean, has lots of equipment, and I can almost always get on the machine that I want. It can be crowded, but it has only rarely been a problem. The hours are super convenient since theyre almost always open. I was told clearly when I signed up that there is an annual fee and when it would be taken from my credit card, and that I would need to send a written request to an address I believe in Houston in order to cancel my membership. I have purchased a package with UBF, the trainers, and have been pretty happy with them as well. There is a womens only area upstairs with a room with cardio equipment and large screen TVs with movies playing. Theres also a larger machine and free weight area in the womens area as well. Theres a fairly small area with the TRX and punching bags but its well supplied with mat equipment such as stability balls, mats, some free weights, the rocking platform thing, and others. They have several group classes I just havent taken advantage of these myself. Theres no extra charge for these. One good thing is they have free boot camp classes twice/week, Wed morning and Friday evening do even if you dont hire a trainer you get some training to mix things up, always good for your workouts. The womens locker room/ bathroom / sauna / shower area is always clean as well. The only criticism Ive had is that some areas are hot when working out and need fans for better air flow. Some areas are well ventilated but the womens area and the back of the main area are not. I have been a member of much more expensive gyms in the past and this one is a fabulous deal for $10 a month.

If you are thinking about becoming a member here be sure to have a lawyer present when signing paper work. Seemed like a good place to work out for a good price, until my third month I was charged 3 times my agreed rate. Which ended up putting my bank account into overdraft. I called to figure out what was going on, and found out that I was charged an annual fee. Remind you I have only been using this gym for 3 months and annual means yearly. I explained to the representative I was speaking with that I had only been a member for 3 months. She replied, "yeah all of our members are charged an annual fee in April no matter how long you have been a member". I explained that I was told that the annual fee would only be charged to me after I had been a member for a year or close to it depending on my start date. She then stated, "Sir all of our members are charged an annual fee during April no matter how long you have been a member. I then asked the rep to cancel the membership, she replied, "I can give you the address you would have to mail your membership termination letter to." So I called my financial institution and was told that I was not only charged my monthly fee of $20, but I was also charged a fee of $43. Really upset because I was told my cancellation would be easy and I would only be charged $20 dollars a month for my first year. Would not recommend this gym to any one. If you plan on getting a membership bring a lawyer because they do bad business.

El lugar me gusta pero el personal q tienen trabajando están bastante incapacitados empezando por el mánager general Mike herpin y supuestamente la otra disque mánager Isamar y los supuestos entrenadores q no tienen idea del significado entrenar no entiendo su presencia ahí nada q ver con el lugar aparte de flojos y prepotentes con los clientes y sus pases y promociones sólo son un gancho para obligarte a inscribirte no tienen promociones quieren obligarte a q te inscribas q falta de profesionalismo de parte de estos personajes se me hace ridículo su forma de querer hacer clientes sinceramente no lo recomiendo 000000 para todos ellos

I highly advise you NOT to use this company. I had an awful experience with them. Yes, the price seems great but unless youre planning on staying with this company for the rest of your life DO NOT sign up. You will get stuck with them. First off, it will take forever to finally get out of your contract. (It took me 3 months until someone was knowledgeable enough to tell me how i could cancle my account) Second of all, once you think you got out you really didnt. They will stop your automatic withdrawals but continue charging youre fitness account and then say they sent you notifications about what you still owe even though they clearly did not. On top they will stock up late fees and then send it to collections. Once it is collection theres absolutely nothing that they can do about it, apparently.... so you have no choice to pay the amount you all of the sudden owe, unless you are ok with it affecting your credit. Every person I talked to, to resolve the issue would send me back and forth on calls. I was told twice that the manager would call me within 48h , left messages twice and never received a phone call back. Each person was extremely rude and wasnt any help at all. Just snobby. I would give no stars if I could. Dont waste your money on this company!
