As I accelerated onto I10 heading west I looked with horror in my rearview mirror as my car spewed a huge cloud of smoke, which I soon learned was steam from my cooling system as it catastrophically exited my car through a failed water pump. I immediately pulled over, looked under the hood to confirm the situation and started walking toward a nearby gas station. The young lady behind the counter produced a business card for “Midway Wrecker Service” (not associated with Midway Garage), which I called. In about 30 minutes I was met by a very professional tow truck driver (Nick Ruck) who suggested that I have my car towed to Midway Garage for repair. I had to stay in Kerrville for an extra day, but it was a nice town to be stuck in so it was not too bad. The next day I got to the shop just as they opened. They had not planned on being open the whole day because it was Friday, Jan. 2 the day after New Years, however, because I was from out of town they went ahead and repaired my water pump. The young lady at the counter (I can’t believe that she is a grandmother) even gave me I ride to a nearby restaurant so I could eat breakfast. They got it done before noon and did a very professional job. I would recommend Midway Garage to anyone who needs quick, professional and reasonably priced work done on their vehicle. PhreD

An honest mechanic these days is hard to find, but Midway Garage more than exceeded my expectations after a major problem with my truck. They stood behind their work after a part failed and took care of everything even though the part failure was not their fault. Charlie the owner was specific with me and told me the entire issue front to back so that I could understand the problem.

Was on a road trip. They were booked but put my truck on the lift and took a look at it for me when no other place in town would. Excellent service
