I just took my Xterra in because my steering wheel was vibrating. I thought something might be wrong with my wheels or alignment. They found out that my alignment was fine, and only charged me for balancing my tires (one of the tires was 3oz out). The manager that helped me was nice, was very helpful if I had a question. He also called me to tell me what they were going to do before they did it, so I could keep track of the cost. It was about $45 for balancing the tires, and 35 for an oil change. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So I wrote the above the day that I was helped. I drove down to North Padre (they said it would be fine), and on my way my car started shaking really badly, it felt like one of my tires was an oval shape. So I had to take it to a automotive repair shop down there (see Fast Kat Automotive Repair Corpus Christi, TX). I told them what Brake Specialists had done, and they said that if they knew one of my tires was 3oz out, they should have known to do something more then balance the tires. Since I had driven all the way down to North Padre, it hurt my car even worse. I had to replace two rods, get an alignment, and a used tire. The complete cost was $725, and a hard hit to my bank account. Im very disappointed, and would like to know why Brake Specialists did not diagnose my problem the correct way that could have saved me so much money, time, and cut into my vacation.

Weve been coming to Austin Automotive Specialists Lakeway location for years, and have always experienced excellent service. They never pressure, always inform when something needs to be looked at in the future and when. This weekend we had a situation with the van not starting, had it towed and Todds team had a look. Appeared the keys were an issue, and Todd recalled a possible recall scenario. He called a dealer, they did have a recall, and the dealer was able to repair for free. And Todd never asked for payment on time spent. Its great to have a trustworthy team to handle your vehicles. Thanks, Todd.

Im sure most people will have good service done here but I cant leave a good review based on the situation they put me in. My radiator was bent in a light front end bump, but still worked just fine for over 10k miles. I finally thought it might be a good idea to have it replaced just for good measure. They replaced my radiator, hoses, and thermostat. A few weeks later and Im stuck in San Marcos with a car thats overheating and has no coolant left. Ive owned the car since 2005 and never had a single problem until now. This is why I always do my own work, I should have known.

Used to be a great place to take your car in Lakeway. After Adam left, The new manager has been rude to my wife and daughters several times. We bought the lifetime alignment and now he is saying they wont honor it because we had some work on the car at another shop. Also told my daughter that her car was on its last leg ( honda accord) so took it to another shop and they told me it was a great car yet????? We are still driving it. This place has become crooked.

Ive taken my car there about 3 times - once for an alignment, once for some brake work, and this last time was when my check engine light went on. Ive been very happy with their service and their prices have been very competitive. They were actually the cheapest option when it came to a friend getting his clutch disc replaced! Theyve made me a very satisfied customer so far.

Good folks here. Adam and Dave have always been honest with me. I have taken three cars here over the years and they have always been awesome. Last time I was told I needed new brakes by Lambs and these guys said I had halfway left on them, free of charge. This is a good place to go around the Lakeway area.

I have had very good service and very fair advice from this location. Twice I have taken in a car for a problem. Both times after checking it out, Brake Specialists made a minor adjustment for no charge at all. I have been helped in a timely manner and I would take my car here again. Good place.

I have been taking all of my cars here since 2007, and they have always done good work for a fair price, been completely open and honest, and given me good advice and quick service. They are best auto repair team I have ever found, and I have been having cars repaired and serviced for a long time.

I was recommended to this place by a family member so I took my truck in to have a brake light fixed. It turns out it was just the bulb, they fixed it in 15 minutes and didnt charge me. Excellent service, Im extremely impressed and will definitely be returning.

Horrible customer service, didnt do the job right the first time so on return they proceeded to deny their mistake, they lack the ability to properly balance and align your tires

These guys were quick. They got my brakes down on time and within budget, even told me I did not need to to get brakes for the front, which was nice.

They do a pretty good job wheel alignment. Not perfect but overall pretty good.
