I decided to go with this company over the competition, even though pricing is substantially higher, because I was promised excellent customer service and a quality fence. I also appreciated that this is a veteran owned company because I part of a military family. The estimate was set up in a timely manner and the gentleman (Larry) that came out was professional. I set up my install the same day. All details for the install were finalized and I made my 50% deposit so that the job could be scheduled. When the crew arrived 2 weeks later, they did not have the materials or directions that they needed. They were very disorganized. They even removed a 10 foot section of my fence that was not part of the agreement. I have a pool in my backyard and live on a corner lot so my yard was open to anyone passing by. Due to weather conditions, the concrete was not drying quickly enough to continue the job so the crew had to return the next day. They were supposed to have temporary fencing to semi-secure the pool area for safety/liability reasons, but the crew had no knowledge of that either nor the material needed to secure it like I was told they would. The elementary school let out at the time the crew was leaving and were very curious about the open yard and pool. The children had to be redirected out of the yard several times. After a couple of concerned phone calls to Larry, he himself went to Home Depot to purchase the temporary fencing. I was appreciative of this. The following day, a different crew showed up to complete the job. They did not have all of the supplies they needed to finish the job either nor were they aware of the trim work or custom gate that I had ordered so these things were not done. They did rebuild the section of fence that wasnt supposed to be torn down, but it does not match the other board on board fence I ordered and now looks odd and mismatched. When I called Larry about my concerns, he said that the crew would be back the following Monday to finish the trim work and custom gate. No one showed up or called that Monday. Tuesday Larry came back out and left new scrolls for me to review and select for the custom gate and said the crew would complete the job the following day (Wednesday). I had already chosen my scroll for the custom gate so I was confused about this new delay. Again, no one showed on Wednesday. I received a call a couple of days later on Friday from Larry who left a voice mail saying "I dont control the schedule but it is very common in the contract world to be rescheduled often." When I returned his call, I voiced my concern for all of the rescheduling and no shows. I have lost time at work expecting the work to be done and needing to be home for the final walk through. I felt that Larry handled the situation unprofessionally and was very defensive and uncaring. I feel like because the job is mostly complete, that Ive been pushed off to the side for other jobs. There is maybe 1 hour of work to be done and I keep getting the run-a-round. There were no apologies, only excuses. I was again told the job would be finished yesterday (Monday) but because it was intermittent misty weather, I was cancelled and rescheduled for today (Tuesday). This morning I was cancelled and rescheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday) because of the weather however, it has been sunny all day. I understand that the ground is wet, but the only thing left to be done is the scroll to be applied to my gate, and the last piece of trim to be installed. I doubt that they will come tomorrow. I was so excited to work with this company but am so disappointed now. I paid my 50% deposit on 10/20/2015 and it is now 11/17/2015 and the job is still not complete and Im continuing to get the run-a-round. The work that is done is beautiful but is overpriced for all of the headache and poor customer service I received. Any other fence company is capable of doing the same work for less. I would not recommend this company.

The only reason for a 2* is for the work that was done. Otherwise it would have been lower!! This company has the worst communication of any company I have ever dealt with! I was getting a fence and patio cover installed on the 19th of April. Texted my salesman (Harry) at 9:30 am and asked if we where still a go, he said yes. The fence guys finally showed at 12:00 and the patio ppl NEVER showed. I had to call and and see what the promblem was and the office said they would have to call me back, finally the next day, they said it had to do with the permit. Understandable. I texted Harry again to see when he thought is was going to get done, never answered and have NOT heard from him since, even after I was told on several occasions he would call me back. They where told on several occasions that I would be going out of town on the 8th, and it would have to be done by then. They had the permit in time to finish, and continued to not show when they where scheduled, said other jobs ran behind, then tried to put me off another week. Needless to say, I had to postpone my vacation by a day because they did not finish. Again, NO communication from ANYONE , on when they would show or when it would be complete, workers would just leave every day. I have read the other reviews and totally should have listened. This company is more expensive and sold me on the work,, so if you are looking for someone to get the job done in a timely manner, and have communication with you when it runs behind, this company is not for you!!

We needed a new fence badly. We had several posts that were rotten and two sections that had fallen down during the day after Christmas storms. Instead of throwing money away to fix an eyesore my wife and I decided to upgrade. We researched several companies and Lifetime Fence stood out as the best in build quality and service. We also liked their strong reviews and photo gallery of previous projects. Our project included roughly 150 feet of 8ft board on board with metal poles and four gates. The pricing was above other estimates but so is the quality of material. 20 gauge steel posts concreted in with Maximizer, #1 grade western red cedar (the best), and a very experienced crew who did the install. Phillip and Casia arrived on time for my estimate and were very helpful answering all of my questions. I had a last minute change and Phillip was very helpful accommodating my request. The two day install was completed on time and it looks amazing. The crew did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of each day. It is reassuring to have had consistent communication with Lifetime Fence throughout the process. They checked in with me on both days of the install to make sure everything was going as planned. It shows they stand behind their work and really care about their customers. Im happy to add a well earned 5 star review for this company.
