Know this, do not sign their contracts without reading every single word, including the fact that the first month will definitely cost you 119$ regardless of what they say up front. The sales person rushes you through it (with snake oil), just like a loan officer when you are buying a house. If you are going to cancel to get your money back make CERTAIN you do it before 14 days have elapsed. Make sure that you know in advance that membership is on-going and will be billed against whatever credit card you allow them to store (without your knowledge, unless you read the tiny line where it says thats how they do it) and four know that speaking to the manager there is like speaking to the girl at the front desk. You will not have a rational conversation with them, you will have a discussion about who is right (them) and who is wrong (you, the customer). I will never ever consider being a "member" of this diseased customer relations box again. Make sure you know this, the salesmen lie, the managers are rude and pompous, and the club rules must be read with a fine tooth comb or you will find yourself screwed and owing money for things you dont even ask for. I called to cancel my membership because I could no longer afford it thinking I would get my money back, I was dealing with a medical condition that prevented me from driving and the girl absolutely refused to (a) cancel the membership or (b) put me on the phone with a manager (making the excuse that the manager wasnt available just to take calls from random people). I took the time to go down to the club once I was medically able to drive to find a strong handshake and an extremely cold attitude toward customer service. These guys are like used car salesmen, believe me the guy called me a liar and then refused to admit that it was calling me a "liar" he said "i simply disagree with you" which is like saying you are a liar but saying, what you just said I dont agree with. It is totally irrational to think that now I am going to have this club chasing me around for money I dont owe them because I wasnt able to successfully resolve the situation with management.

Oh, where do I start. Been a member of gyms for thirty years, Vic Tanny was where I began. I thought LT was great when I first joined in MI, that facility until management let the facility and equipment get run down. Moved to Chicago and went to the facilities there, older and dirty. Moved to Texas, Mansfield thought Id give them one more try. The first manager of the facility when opened did a great job then they got in a new manager and started to increase membership, open houses every other month. Facility started to be mismanaged, pool didnt open for various reason, spas were never clean, broken and the trainers were rude and always trying to pitch you for buying product. It all came to a head when this summer when I called corporate and called the manager out. For what we pay I expect a clean facility, professional staff and to be listened to when I tell you there is something wrong. The manager canceled my membership, called corp. back and they said they would look into it and have a regional manager call, never did, told me I would be credited for the remainder of the month never was Just telling you think long and hard before you put your money with this gym, its all about getting you to sign up. Dont complain because they dont have a standard to keep buyer beware. Had to give it a 1 to post really want to give them a -1

Been there five yrs and always loved it until new management took over and now seems like its going downhill.****** UPDATE!!****** It’s recently come to my attention that I needed to update my google review and I do apologize if I offended anyone. Now you can hear me out… When I initiated this review, that was the way I felt. I did voice my concerns (at the time) and nothing seemed to matter. Fast forward to the here and now and forgetting about the review I had wrote. The gym has been superb in cleanliness, equipment, and staff/management. It also looked like there was a high turnover rate because of always seeing new staff arrive. Ive also learned since then that Lifetime is actually a great company to work for because they hire within. Ive even considered hiring a member of their management for my own team because of the attentiveness and people skills he had. Since 2008 when I first became a member I have recommended Lifetime Fitness to a large group of my business clients who are now current members. Ive never asked for anything in return. Concluding this I can honestly say Lifetime Fitness is an amazing gym I will continue to recommend them to all my clients moving into the area. Hope this clears things up and again, I deeply apologize for not updating my review in a timely manner.

Ive been a lifetime for about 2 years. My parents have been members since I could remember as a child. The Mansfield location is the WORST lifetime I have ever been to. I normally go the lifetime in mockingbird and the staff are far more experienced and professional than the Mansfield location. Ive also traveled to many others for work. Problems are they close all the studios at 9PM but the gym is open 24/7. They said it because people would break mirrors. Some solutions would be to hire more staff to monitor the studios. There is also these things called cameras. The diamond parking is not enforced!!! Most of the staff arent professional or seem to be very knowledgeable. And changing rooms are DIRTY and smell like urine also most of the lockers are jammed. The steam room never has the melaleuca oil smell. The staff in the food area are great! Thats one thing they seem to get right here at this Mansfield location. Corporate should come and see what going on at this gym its truly sad. I dont blame the staff 100% its seeems to be a management problem that needs to be addressed. Lifetime wants to be a luxury gym but this location makes the brand look like an LA fitness. Open the whole gym up! Clean the place!

Its a nice club for sure, went on a trial and really enjoyed it (other than the mens locker room had a foul odor for a lot of the week I was there maybe the vent was broken? lol). I had fully intended to join but as a college student I just felt like I couldnt justify paying their extremely high rates. I fully understand and appreciate that Lifetime is a "family" oriented gym and I think thats awesome they have the means and facilities to cater to everyone. But if I knocked them for anything.. Id say it would be they dont enforce their policy. Saw lots of kids running around/unattended upstairs in the gym proper and was spotty if they even enforced the pool rules of being closed to kids in the evening. Not really feeling paying 80 dollars a month for daycare. While this review is directed at the Mansfield location, the location in Colleyville was MUCH better. wish they had slightly better locations, if there was one not extremely out of my way I probably would join eventually.
