I have been going to this location soley since I moved to the Mckinney area about 7 months ago. Each time the service has been exceptional. I went in this morning however and my experience was a bit different. I needed to ship a box which was ready to go. However there was a bit of bowing on the box, so I asked the nice lady if she could please tape it. She proceeded to grab the tape to put a price on the troubled spot. At that time a man came from the back to inform me and her too apparently, as it appeared she too was unaware, that there was a $1 tapping fee. My face was very confused, as I said I had been coming to this location for sometime. And just the week prior the guy working added a piece of tape where he saw fit and I didnt even ask. I told the gentleman this and he told me that I must have gotten a special deal. I politely declined to pay $1 for a 3 inch or less piece of tape. I went down the street in search of tape. Mean while I called several other locations to see if they too charged for tape as I felt as if this was a special charge given to me this morning. I felt this way because it seems that the other employees that I have encountered were unaware of this fee. I was told that the locations I called did not charge for a piece of tape but that the UPS store is a franchise and that each owner is different. Which is fine. A nice man at another business a few doors down gladly gave me a piece of tape. I went back and dropped my box. End of story. However, I will likely be giving my business to one of the other 2 or 3 locations in Mckinney, as I again felt that this charge isnt implemented consistently or to everyone.

Ive had a mailbox here for several years now (pretty much since it opened and my old mailbox place across the street shutdown). Most of the staff is very friendly (anyone who has been there for more than 6 months; Larry, Zack, Ms Patty when she is filling in). I have not had any unprofessional encounters with staff as noted in the other reviews during all these years. My worst experience to date has been misboxed mail. Normally have only seen this in early summer when the new kids come in for a summer job and are not paying attention or do not care about the job they are doing. After a few incidents in a short time frame, will mention it to the long term staff, they track down who has been sorting the mail incorrectly and fix it. Dont think Ive ever had to complain it about twice in a season and do not recall having any issues this past summer. Gets hectic at the holidays, but every shipping place does. They handle pretty well. About the only challenge at this site is fighting for parking with the SBUX next door, which is a blessing and a curse. Can conveniently get a nice tasty beverage while on a mail run, but if only a mail run then less convenient when you are carrying packages and cannot get a spot close to the door. As a mailbox holder, I am in there at least twice a week, probably 125 times a year and I can vouch that it is a good place to do business with. And I have seen bad ones, having used MBE/UPS stores for the past 20 years. My prior one in CA was a nightmare that corporate eventually took back from the franchisee. Night and day difference with here.

Ive kept a postal box at this store to use as a mailing address for three years now and what I appreciate about this location is that they make a real effort to not keep me waiting when I come in for mail pickup if theres a package for me. Even when there are customers at the other registers someone will almost always break off to go get the package for me. It only takes a second, so it doesnt inconvenience people there to ship packages, but it also keeps me from having to wait around for much longer transactions to finish up when all Im there for is to grab my mail and packages--30 seconds in and out. Theyve been really good about providing concierge-type service like that, and that includes helping me out to my car when the deliveries are heavy or bulky.

One of the best part of my business day is the friendly reception I get from the team at the McKinney (Adriatic Village) store. In the 8 yrs of my partnership with the store I am always greeted by first name when I walk in. I have come to know several of the team members over the 8 yrs Larry has been at the store almost as long as my company has been using UPS. Larry takes great care of me and my business needs. Zac as well is become a store long-timer as I think he has been there a couple years at least now. It does not matter who serves you at this store as everyone is so well trained to provide a fast and easy experience.

If I could give a negative star I would. This is the worst customer service that I have ever had at any store. Jeff, the owner and manager held a package addressed to our mail box for over two weeks without letting us know that we had a package and we have been in numerous times looking for the box of business cards. Then when he finally told us that there was a box addressed to us with one of our salesmans name on the package he wanted an extra $5 to let us have it. Something is wrong here! I almost did not renew a month ago because they went up on their price a lot. Now I wish I had not renewed.

WARNING TO AT&T U-VERSE CUSTOMERS. Do NOT use this UPS store to return AT&T U-Verse equipment. The employees are under instruction to take power cables and remote controls out of the package before sealing. They then take the cables to the back and cut them up for scrap. If you ask them why they don’t pack the wires, they claim AT&T doesn’t require them back. I have contacted AT&T about this, and I found out they are LYING. AT&T wants everything back in the box. If you must use this store, request to watch them pack and seal the box in front of you.

I looked up this location and hesitated to go there because of all the bad reviews, but since it was nearby I thought I would give them a chance. I am glad I did! I walked in and was immediately greeted by Larry and shortly another employee greeted me as well while they were helping other customers. Larry was very friendly and efficient... offering me different options to ship. In just a matter of minutes my packages were ready to be shipped. I will go to this location the next time I ship items. Thanks, Larry!

I called the day before I came to the store and the gentleman working there patiently waited while I measured the item I wanted to ship and gave me an estimate over the phone. It was very helpful! When I went to the store the next day, he knew who I was right away and I was done shipping my item in less the 10 minutes. Great and convenient service.
