I dislike to accept the fact that the city of Pflugerville has an ugly side to it, but if it does...It would be USPS on Heatherwilde. Since I moved from Austin to Pflugerville 10 years ago I had to deal with mediocrity at its best. I stopped going to this post office for a while because I never received a couple of orders from Amazon. I called to speak with the postmaster in a couple of ocasions but this guy/gal is as mediocre as its employees. Today, I went to send a couple of things for my son and as I walked in, the older gentleman that has worked there forever (it could be reason for not being personable, customer service oriented and miserable) told me that they were closed (4:50pm), and of course I figure that I could use self service, so walked myself to self service machine. As I was starting to use the machine, a lady walked in and immediately she was told to hurry up so that they could take care of her. I was so upset, because they denied me service not sure based on what but I could not let them get away with this. Im not the guy that likes to raise his voice but told them from were I was that their customer service sucks and to explain reason for not being able to service me. Gentleman explained that he had not seen his watch when he told me that. Him and two other ladies that work there told that they would take care of me with "take it or leave it" attitude. I explained politely that damage was already done and I felt insulted by their behavior. Not sure about you, but if something like this happens to someone, that someone would be very annoyed. I should not let this mediocrity get to me, besides they are misearable due to what and how long they have done it and who they work for. They just want others to feel as miserable as they are based on their service to others. I would not even waste my time calling there to speak to postmaster since hes a worst caracter based on the lack of customer service his employees have and they are his/her reflection based on 1.8 star review in Google. USPS should have 1/2 star, not 2 stars in Google until their attitude and customer service changes for the better, maybe someone will pay attention. Shame on you USPS Heatherwilde in Pflugerville!! :-(

I have read through the reviews on here and have always dreaded going to any post office. I used to ship everything out UPS and only went to the MailStop type stores for actual USPS business. However this is the closest post office to me and over the course of 4 weeks have shipped out 8 packages. I have dealt with 3 different people so far and all have been super nice. When I used 2 flat rate boxes to make a custom box for a large item the guy at the counter let me know that if I wrapped it in brown paper he could ship it parcel post instead of Priority, still insure it, track it, etc but for $11 cheaper if I had not wrapped it. On another occasion a lady was helping me and 2 other customers all at once as we had international shipments and needed to fill our various forms for them. She juggled all of us with ease and kept us from having to go back in line. It sounds like a lot of the issues encountered with this post office are actually with individual mail carriers which I agree needs to be addressed. But for the service I have received at the post office so far, I could not ask for more.

I am not sure awful is a strong enough word to describe the rudeness that comes out of the Pflugerville Post Office. I called with a simple request to know what times were available to schedule for a passport. All I could get was "Sir you will have to call tomorrow at 10:15" I asked if that was going to be for next week, and with a stronger, more agitated voice all I got was "Sir you will have to call tomorrow at 10:15!" It was plain to me that I was a bother and should be well versed with US Postal Service protocol and procedures. Sadly this seems to be the norm at this location, the folks behind the counter are not much better. The US Post Office wants to know why they are losing business to private carriers it is because of people like the ones you find in Pflugerville. You are treated with little to no respect, talked to like a vagrant. It is a shame that our US Postal Service is such a joke when it comes to customer service and the only place you can get a passport. Sorry to the few good apples, but the bad ones are bad and overshadow the good.

Went to get a package from my mailbox to find that it had been shoved into the parcel mailbox instead of the one that packages go into. I had to go back a second time with my boyfriend to see if he could pull it out but he couldnt either. I called and asked if someone could fix this and wasnt told when the package could actually be delivered to me. I was also told "if" they get it out I would have to drive up to the post office to come get it which is annoying. So I went back with a knife and a little crowbar to try and get it out again. It came out after I had to dissemble the package instead the mailbox. Also turns out the person who shoved it in there crushed all my other mail which is also annoying. Went home finally and opened the rest of the package to find out that one of the items I ordered (liquid cosmetics) had cracked and spilt everywhere. No one will answer my calls now. Literally this is ridiculous lol

On Mon 2/29 I went to my mailbox and found it was open I attempted to lock it but it wouldnt lock I put a note for the carrier to have it fixed well as of Sat 3/5 it still wasnt fixed and of course I have had no mail. I went to the Post Office on Sat 3/5 and spoke to a girl at the counter who was very rude as she told me I had to pay to change the lock when I told her that wasnt happening she went to the back and then told me to wait at the blue door. A woman came and I explained again and she told me there was no charge and that she would have it taken care of on Tues 3/8 but a man behind her told me he would handle it himself and it would be fixed on Mon 3/7 I then asked why the carrier did not report the problem and they did not have an answer. Well it was not fixed on Mon or Tues and no one likes to answer the phone there so I guess I have to lose time at work to handle their screw ups.

2nd package misplaced by this post office. Every time I call about a lost package they say the carrier that ran that route that day is on vacation or off so someone will have to call me back. They never do. They are rude. The one time the carrier did call back she said she thinks the mail carrier on my route "that day" misplaced the parcel key in another box and took my package. She was going to search the office and if she cant find it she will call me and Ill have to put in a claim to get reimbursed. She never called me back to tell me if she found it or not so I called today and was told I had to call Amazon and put in a claim with them. Fortunately Amazon was very helpful. This place needs to get their act together! VERY DISTRUSTFUL! Dont care about their community. USE UPS OR FED EX IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS POST OFFICE!
