I have to say, I love this Post Office. The building is like a time capsule from when things were built to last, and all the staff that Ive ever run into has been so considerate and patient, not to mention that they always make me smile with their humor. How often do you find a postal worker with a sense of humor? That in and of itself puts this Post Office head and shoulders above the rest. Beyond that, though, I just had a great experience with them. Im a knitter, and I had ordered some yarn off the internet for a project, but the day it was supposed to be delivered, I was in and out of the house all day. Because this is springtime in Norman, the winds were crazy high that day, and I was really worried that they would deliver my package and it would blow away before I could get to it. That evening, I found a note, saying that because it wouldnt fit in my mailbox, and they didnt want it to get lost, Id need to come in to the post office to pick it up. While this is a slight inconvenience, I am so grateful that they didnt just thoughtlessly leave it, they really cared about what would happen after the package was delivered.

Having lived in many locations around the US I have to say that this is frankly the most inept post office I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Over the course of nearly three years their carriers have regularly falsified delivery attempts. Their favorite approach is to just throw a pink "sorry we missed you slip" in the box without making an attempt to deliver to the apartment. Ive also had this office deliver damaged/tampered with packages and temporarily lose items. On one occasion they didnt even bother to leave a slip regarding a package delivery resulting in the item almost being returned to sender well over a week later without me even knowing an attempt was ever made. To add to the lack of professionalism some of their carriers seem to enjoy smoking while delivering the mail.

I am in the Plumbing Business. I have a office in Norman where we receive our mail. We receive mail Monday throught Fridays. As Monday we didnt have mail service. Yesterday was May 27th a Tuesday, we had no mail service. Today, May 28th Wednesday, we have received no mail service. We rely on the US Postal department to handle the checks that are mailed to in a timely manner. We rely on those same checks to deposit into our bank to make surethat sufficient funds exist to cover the checks to pay for, payroll, fuel, inventory purchases and expenses. So far this week we have received no mail, and no checks. So the possibility exists that some of the checks I wrote last week and early this week will bounce. Maybe we should see about getting FEXEX or UPS to start handling the mails?.

I have never left a negative review or really a review at all of a private or government-run business, but after going to this post office for the 8th or 9th time, I feel that I need to say something. Ive never been rude to an employee in my life, but for some reason, the employees at this post office insist on talking down to me, trying their hardest not to actually help me, and making me feel like a complete idiot for no reason. This has happened several times, so I think its time to give up on this location. Ill have to find a new post office to avoid being called "little girl" because im short and to avoid being talked to like im a child. I dont expect anyone to act chipper and pretend like they enjoy their job, but I dont understand why its necessary to be so unceasingly hateful.

09-19-2015 3:30 pm Well its Saturday , had two pieces of outgoing mail , the mailbox flag was up . The carrier put the flag down and stacked Saturdays mail on top of the outgoing mail without slowing down . Wow , if its not and attitude from our regular carrier , delivering mail to the wrong address , and claiming we had no mail that day , its the temps not delivering the mail at all for Three Days . Is this not delaying the mail , a flagrant violation with USPS ? Does anyone from USPS read these reviews and take action or is it the attitude of " Not my job" , " I retire soon and go home hear in a few hours " ! After reading other reviews and ratings one would think there is a problem . Sincerely Tricia E.

No matter when you call or how many times its always busy. Want to know why? they have a thing on their phone system that makes them look busy so they never have to answer the phones. Their package delivery is the worst in all 52 States. should be good considering OU is here and all. USPS tracking system is the worst of all carriers. Now you know why USPS is going down the tubes and has been for many years. One day UPS or FedEx will take over the Mail system and then things will be a little better. not much, but a little. Gray Street USPS, you have been ranked the worst, step it up. or do you not care? you have Insurance, and all the perks that most people dont have at their jobs, whats the problem?

I had an important package that was supposed to be delivered this last Wednesday. When it didnt arrive I tracked it online and all it said was "Undeliverable as Addressed" and no other information. I attempted to call usps to find out where it was currently and to see if I could pick it up. I have called every number listed locally and nationally for the usps and only when I called the "IT helpline" did I receive and option to speak with a human being. The system advised me that my wait time will be 45 minutes to an hour before anyone will be available. This is a business that is flawed and failing fast and I no longer wonder why. Yay taxes.

Lazy, terrible delivery service. I was in my apartment, expecting a package from Amazon. When nothing arrived I checked the order status and found that it had been turned away for being the wrong address, and my package is being shipped back to the seller. I was home during the time listed when the delivery was attempted and no one arrived. I double checked the address, and it is correct. I went to the main office of the apartment complex, where packages are supposed to be dropped off if they cannot be directly delivered, and no one had dropped off my package. I dont know what USPS was doing, but it certainly wasnt their job.

This post office will leave you wishing you had driven 25 miles to find a good post office. They supposedly scanned in 50 packages as we watched them scan the parcels in and yet not a single one of 50 tracking numbers has showed up as accepted nearly a day later. Hard to believe that this Post Office hasnt been gutted and reworked or the very least overhauled. Read all the reviews and then you be the judge. The staff can be nice and helpful and they get good marks but the system is broken and disorganized start to finish. If you need a great post office go the post office at Reno and Midwest Blvd in Midwest City..
