I have been a patron of Cutting Edge Hair since 2009. I went there from a Redken website that listed them as a location to buy Redken products. I had experienced a major damage event to my long hair (a perm nightmare fry event). A really nice, informative, helpful person named Nikki assisted me. I thought she was a booking assistant, but she was also a hair stylist still in training. She helped nurse my hair through a long rehab. Now, 7 years later, she is a master stylist and still pampering my hair. And my hair is healthy; I get compliments on it regularly. I have also had Chadney & Kaitlyn work on my hair... both excellent, as well. All stylists I have used there have accommodated my tendency to use my own hair cleansing/conditioning products, and they have done great jobs at styling my hair with no styling products (at my request, because I dont like product in my hair). None have tried to force a particular style on me, and all have been so accommodating on my very particular particulars on how not to cut or work on my hair. The booking staff is great; any staff I have encountered has been friendly, helpful, respectful, and cheerful. They all seem genuinely happy there, and it reflects in their customer service & the entire package that they deliver to their clients.

This is not a solicited review. No one asked me to write this, and frankly Im pretty stingy with my public reviews. I think Jackie really deserves praise. In fact, I think this whole shop deserves recognition. Jackie Guerra is just great. I cant say enough good things about her. What matters most is that she is skilled and detail oriented. She has a natural talent for cutting hair. She is constantly training and improving her craft. I couldnt be happier with Jackie. I have never left her chair with a bad haircut. Vee Sareth also cut my hair a few times due to scheduling conflicts. She is great too for the same reasons. Just for the record, I am a white, middle-aged, professional male. I am not in sales, but my appearance still matters to me (Haha, yeah I went there). Try Jackey, try Vee, just try someone here. They dont mess around and I like that. Oh, one final thought: Jackie and Vee are actually consistent. That has been my most prominent complaint other with stylists and barbers. I leave this shop with the same high quality haircut EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Eat that everyone else.

My first time going into this salon (I had to make an appointment) ... Im Asian and Im sick of some Asian salons doing unsymmetrical layers and layering it via running the scissors heavily downward against the hair (like scratching nails on a board thingy) I end up having split ends and needless to say ends flying away in different directions. ESTEFANIA knows what shes doing. I couldnt make up my mind if I wanted bob or layers and I was having a hard time explaining to her what I really wanted. Needless to say, she listened to what I said, figured out the puzzle and ended up doing all the combinations of all I wanted and it came out perfectly. Of course I would always go back to her from now on... By the way, I havent tried other stylists there yet but I already found my girl in Estefania. However if shes unavailable or something, and I need a haircut asap, I would try the other stylists in Cutting Edge recommended here.

My daughters been going here for last 4 years. Since its her senior prom, I called in January to make the appointment. Receptionist had to put me on hold to see if she could make a hair appointment that far out. She could so made the appointment for 230 the day of prom 4/18. I got a call 4/6 from the same receptionist stating the hair stylist my appointment was with will be out of town that day, offering me a 9 am or 430 hair appointment??????? Not even with a different stylist for the same time!!!! I told her I was the FIRST to have an appointment for this day, and Ill be damned if Im now going to take "whats left"! She then told me she was sorry, but it was prom and they were completely booked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Asked for owner to call me. Its been 3 days and no phone call whatsoever!! VERY disappointed! UNPROFESSIONAL and NOT cool!

This is my first hair cut experience since moving to Dallas. Boy am I glad that I went here first! I had no idea of exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, but thankfully I had Mandy help me get the perfect haircut I could have asked for. She is very knowledgeable not only with cutting, but also with the type of hair you have. I have thin hair and usually always blindly go with layering, just so i could get some kind of texture. She understood my wants, but gave me what I needed. I highly recommend this salon, especially if you are ever as nervous as I always am with getting your hair chopped off. Also, if you never really know exactly what you want, but just want something different. Thank you Mandy!! I will be coming here again and again!!

After moving to Dallas last summer, I went to the nearest salon for a haircut. I asked for a trim because i liked the length and to keep the layers. Well, lets just say I walked out with barely any hair. I let it grow for a year to finally get it back to almost the length before it got hacked. So I finally decided to trust someone again. I made an appt with Kelly Garrison at Cutting Edge and was very impressed! She knew exactly what style I needed not only for my thin hair but also for the roundness of my face. I enjoyed her conversation, her cut was fantasticly flattterinng for me, and the atmosphere of the salon is great. I definately found the salon and someone I can trust and will enjoy going back again! Thanks Kelly!

Great place for a haircut! Went here today for the first time. Have been looking for a good hairstylist and found one here. Mandy did a great job! She not only listened to me as I explained what I wanted, but repeated it back to me to make sure she understood what I was asking for. It seems like a small thing, but unfortunately in most places I tried they just assume they understand instead of double checking. I also loved Mandys technique and friendly manner. I am picky when it comes to how my hair is cut, but I am very satisfied with Mandys work. The price is reasonable too.... $45

Ive been going to this salon since I moved to Dallas three and a half years ago. At first I was nervous; I had the same stylist back home since I was a kid. I was scheduled with Mandy, and Ive never looked back from there! Mandy is absolutely fantastic! She definitely knows what shes doing and loves what she does. Shes a Redken Certified Colorist, so she knows the ins and outs. Not only that, but shes a blast to talk to when youre in the chair. Ive never had a negative experience here, and Id absolutely recommend it to anyone (and already have!).
