These guys are awesome. They know what they are doing. We highly recommend them. When we moved into our new home, we noticed right away each room was lacking in light especially at night. Even though our home is an open floor plan, each room was very dim and dark. And to make it worse, the ceiling fan lights in the family room and master bedroom are on remotes that get lost. The master bedroom remote stopped working properly so all we could control was the fan in the bedroom. We called and set up an appointment for a consultation. The office staff does a good job about getting back to you in a timely manner. Jacob came out and I went through the entire house with him, telling him all the items I need fixed. We delineated items to be fixed now and some to be fixed later. He does a very thorough job in making sure he understands what I am saying and takes the time to clear up any questions. He also does a good job in describing in detail what each job will entail so there are no surprises. On the first project, we had them install under-cabinet lights, place 7 LED recessed lights in the family room, wire our family room and master bedroom ceiling fan lights to switches in the wall and put switched outlets in the master bedroom for lamps, replace old recessed lights in the master bath with new LED recessed lights and installed a higher-efficiency humidity sensing fan. All of this is very time-consuming work which I felt the crew did in a very methodical and timely manner. When deciding placement of the new recessed lights, Jacob and the crew went over with me meticulously where we would want the lights to be. They came each day ready to work and they were VERY attentive to what they were doing. I saw how each member of the team took great care in what they did. Since there was a lot of cutting of drywall for the new recessed lights, which would need to later be repaired, they tried to limit the cutting to only what was necessary and even thought ahead to keep the pieces which were later used for the repairs. They wear shoe covers whenever they come into the house to help keep the floors clean. And they clean up at the end of each day. They are great to work with. For instance, I changed my mind on placement of the recessed lights midway through the project. They were gracious about accommodating my request. They really want to make sure the customer is happy with the end result. And I love how the lights are now. The ceiling fan lights were a tough job. It took a lot of engineering to get the fans and the lights to be switched to the wall switches. My husband and I were particular about the kind of switch we wanted and Jacob was tenacious in finding the exact switch we needed. He also figured out that we were using bulbs in our bedroom ceiling fan light with wattage above design specs which was likely why the remote transceiver was failing. Once fixed, and the correct bulbs put in, the fans work like they are brand new. What I enjoy is that whenever Jacob and the crew encountered an unforeseeable problem, they took the problem to me to solve it with my involvement. They communicated all issues and kept me apprised of the situation as it unfolded. The second job they did for me was to install a chandelier and sconces and placed switched outlets in the dining room and replaced a GFCI outside. Once again, their work was impeccable. My dining room absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. I have been very happy with the work these folks do. They charge a fair price for their work. They are professional, knowledgeable, honest, communicative, respectful, neat and organized and I will continue to use them for all my future electrical needs.

LISTEN to the one star reviews!!! While AllGood was prompt in sending someone out to bid, They were terrible in explaining the prices. Bid was not itemized just simply 5 sconces + 2 ceiling fans = $2500+. I asked how much each sconce would be (thinking I could lower my bid if I eliminated a few sconces), and the electrician that was sent out could not tell me. He said he just punches in the job and his bid estimator generates the bid. I dont know how someone could not know how much the scope of the work (labor/ materials) would cost. Meanwhile I called another local company and he was able to bid over the phone (he said to calculate $165 per thing I wanted installed; this results in 5 sconces + 2 ceiling fans= roughly $1100). To be honest, we thought that was steep too. We had a siding crew/ contractor out here during the bid and when he heard these quotes he was astonished and said that the scope of the job is more like $500. Well, thats what we ended up paying with another person. Save yourself time (AND MONEY), and dont call them!

Jacob O. from Allgood Electric just left my home after performing a home electrical safety evaluation. He was very thorough as he inspected the entire house, including the outside and inside electrical panels, as well as checking on a couple of my specific concerns. He was very meticulous as he went about his work and explained what he was inspecting. I am very, very pleased with his work. This is the second time in two years that Allgood Electric was at my home. Both times I was very pleased. The electricians always pickup after themselves and are very courteous. I will definitely use Allgood Electric the next time I need electrical work at my home

BUYER BEWARE. Called after seeing them on Angies List. After receiving home inspection from licensed inspector, asked them to look at a home being purchased that is under a 10-day option period. We were looking for a bid on the work to use as a negotiation tool, and they told me they needed to do their own inspection for another $275 after we have just spent $475 on a whole house inspection. Ridiculous...I specifically asked for a simple bid only on the items on the home inspection, and they had to "upsell" and push for that extra $275. Great way to do business. I have experienced this with many Angies List contractors, and wonder if this is typical?

I needed an electrician ASAP to help repair a bad job done on replacing a bathroom light fixture. I first call Mr.Electric and was told it would be $125 just to come out without doing any work. That was way to much just to replace an outlet box and mount a light fixture. I called Allgood Electric and they were able to send someone out the very next morning. Ray Thompson was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He was able to replace the outlet box and put my light fixture up for a very reasonable price. I am so happy I was able to find a great company that doesnt want to rip you off the first chance they get! Excellent job and thank you!

My wallet is $400 lighter after troubleshooting a tripping breaker and it still was not resolved. He came out and told me what the troubleshooting amount would be more or less. Then after a half day he left. I came home and the issue was halfway resolved. I called another person to come out. He solved it in less than 30 minutes and said not to pay him since it was so simple. The wires were connected wrong at the breaker. So after this guy couldnt figure it out after taking it apart, he put it back together wrong. Such a basic item missed. Dont recommend because of overpricing and lack of competence.
