James and James of Cox Electric did an incredible job in our home. They were efficient, fair, and knowledgeable. -They showed up as scheduled -They finished the job early -They provide me a very fair price -Work was exceptional The job was estimated to take approximately two hours but they finished in under an hour. They also went above and beyond the scope of work by getting another light up and on without me asking them to do it. I am a DIYer, so I had previously attempted my electrical skills on the home. James and James let me walk them through the work/mistakes I did and easily problem solved for me. I highly recommend Cox Electric and I will definitely use them again in the near future.

James did some very good work for us - a few recessed lights in living room and hallway art-niches, and an outdoor floodlight system. We found James to be very knowledgeable, professional and fairly astute in his decisions - how to route the wires in the least disruptive way, options for switches, fittings, etc. In particular I liked his approach of giving a few options and then giving you the flexibility to think and install accordingly. His time estimates were right on, he does not give up and finds very good workarounds in tough to reach locations, and is generally very good at what he does. I highly recommend James and would definitely hire him again to do electrical related work at our place.

I was referred to James through an old high school friend. I called him and he came out within the hour, and did a few repairs. He even crawled under my mobile home in the heat to find the correct wires. Then he gave me an estimate of future repairs. He is a great man, and I was not disappointed by his service. even took the time to explain some of the things i did not understand. and really good pricing as well. Will def. recommend to friends and family. By the way i called Fox and they wanted to charge me 70.00 just to come and give and estimate, and one other cant remember the name but the man said 170. just for an estimate. Not only that I live in Austin,Tx.

I love Cox Electric. Ive had them out to my house 3 times now over the past few years, to address different electrical and lighting needs. Doug is fantastic and super helpful. He answered all of my questions, has made excellent suggestions for lighting options and also is meticulous about his work. James and his crew have always been kind and courteous and I will not use any other electrician but Cox Electric. I highly recommend these professionals for any electrical service needed!

I had James install 4 ceiling fans including one in the patio. Also installed a motion detecting light. What I liked best about James was that he was timely,professional and reasonable. I could have found a cheaper electrician, but I have the peace of mind in knowing that all work was done by a quality electrician and its guaranteed for 2 years... I have full faith in his work and tend to refer James to my friends/neighbors and also give him my repeat business -Ash

I simply walked outside of my garage to find the Cox Electric van across the street visiting one of my neighbors. I asked the technician if he could do a last minute on-site repair and he did!! In a short 30 minutes, he fixed a plug in my garage to accommodate an additional refrigerator. So quick, so affordable........I will definitely call them for all of my electrical needs. Melissa

One of the best Austin electricians Ive met. James and his crew did an amazing job fixing the un fixable. We had a mess of wires that was a hazard to anyone who came near it. Not up to code and had to be. The electrical repairs had been done by the former owner whos DIY electrical skills left something to be desired. If you need a master electrician look no further.

I saw Cox Electrics Van in my neighborhood, then I called them and they came in the next day morning (on Saturday). The technician is very experienced and they installed my ceiling fan light kit very quickly. The charge was very reasonable, and the technician even did some extra work to fix the light problem in my kitchen. Really appreciated his work!
