300 gallons of nope. Took laptop in because it was bsoding, suspected known stock thermal paste/overheating issue with that model laptop so had it replaced, didnt fix the problem so Tech 1 said he would keep it overnight, update the bios via dos and figure out what the problem is and have it by the next day, that was the 16th. So today, the 21st, Tech 2 said that we could come pick it up. When we get there, Tech 3 "random 16 year old kid" said that when he reinstalled THEIR version of Windows, that he didnt stop the auto updates and had to re-image it again so that he could go in there and cut them off faster before it corrupted itself. I dont know how it magicaly found the internet after a fresh install but apparently it did. Then had a talk with Tech 2 and tried to say that when Windows auto-updated the drivers it would corrupt or clash with the nvidia drivers causing it to blue screen again and it would be messed up again. I find it hard to believe that if you do a factory reset that when it starts to auto update it will mess it up, since every laptop of that model has pretty much the same image loaded onto it, and it would blue screen every single computer they sold. Tech 2 also said that he had to use powershell to manually go into a driver and change the pid, "part id", and that would resolve the issue, and apparently powershell is a "dos prompt made for windows 10", could be wrong but I swear to god powershell came out like 7-8 years ago. Tech 1 "head tech" who wasnt there when we picked it up called later and said that he didnt "authorize the release" and wanted us to bring it back because it was a hardware issue, funny cause Tech 2 and "Tech 3" didnt say a thing about hardware, it was all drivers, pids and software. Computer seems to be working fine, but is not running stock/factory version of Windows, its running whatever they put on there, which im sure theres like 800 backdoors on it now. These guys know enough tech talk to bs someone who knows nothing about computers, HOWEVER, being CompTIA A+, Net+, Sec+ and CEH certified, I know like one or two things...maybe even three things about computers and would say that no one should take their anything there ever. One good thing to say, Tech 1 replaced the thermal paste extremely fast and efficient, BUT then tried to tell us that he bought 6 vials of artic silver 5 and something else and that was like 200$, which is uncorrect. Another good thing, they only charged for the replacement of the thermal paste and labor for that, and not the other...whatever they did with it. If you decide to go there with your pc and know nothing about pcs, have fun.

Dont let one reviewers comment out weigh the majority of the overall reviews. Ive been here numerous times over the years and have never experienced a problem. If you look at the overall stars/ratings vs other places this place tops them all. I know this from my own personal experience. In fact, Just picked up my lap top today 8/21/2017 and have no complaints. Everything was fixed and upgraded beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this shop. I cant find anywhere else where the prices are as reasonable and the work done as well. Thanks again A+++++ Also, Im posting my previous comments the last time I was at Computer Repair below: "I have been taking my laptop and my wifes laptop to this business for the past several years. After finding this place I dont go anywhere else. There is no, BS from this place like others may do. The owner gives me a straight up quote for a repair and delivers (most often within the same day) ! This business also gives me the best price when compared to others and surpasses any repair others claim to do. They have as well repaired for me a damaged flash drive saving me many documents that I use for work. A++++ Im sure you want to save yourself money and time, so take your business to computer Repair Plus you wont be disappointed. Robert Leal.

It took me a while to write them a review but you know theyre good if I still remember their service from a month ago as well as a few other services from a few years ago. They always give me great prices and service after explaining to me what caused the issue and a few options as to how to fix it. I bought this gaming computer sold through Best Buy (who in turn was sold by Cybertron PC / ibuypower)... and from the start I noticed that everything was kind of slapped together inside the case. This resulted in the fans sounding like a small Honda engine revving up. I was advised by the owner to tone down the extra graphics card to compensate for this after asking me what I was using the computer for (all those graphic cards and extra perks were overkill for WoW). He also noticed my booting time was slow for what I had so he reinstalled Windows 10 properly (to fix other bugs too). On top of all of this, he also cleaned the serious (and shameful) dust bunnies lurking within my case. All for $80 if I remember correctly. He was done in the same day. In the past, he also saved my Toshiba laptops watered keyboard for $100, and the A/C power supply for my previous computer for $60 (mind you, it wasnt an easy fix since the person that broke into my house had trashed the case pretty badly).

This place does a bad ass job. Marc and his assistance gets the job done. Not only is his prices great and affordable but the work is spectacular. Gives you 1 year warranty if not more. So far out of 6 well known companies in San Antonio I chose this company and he gave me everything at a cheaper rate. He is also recommended by Office Max, Walmart, Office Depot and even the Geek Squad. When I went to his store I saw a Geek Squad employee there asking Marc to fix his computer. Marc had his computer repair done that same day. THAT WAS REALLY COOL!!! I wish the media did a story on this guy he is awesome. So far he has fixed over 4 of my computers and they have been working great so far. Thanks Marc job well done sir. Just a follow up went back on 9/07/13 took my Mac and my gamer he fixed my Mac for 60 dollars cheaper than anyone in San Antonio and Austin area to top it off im using my Mac now typing this. Best rates and fast service. Great job Marc and son Update as of 1.30.2015 Brought my 2012 Mac and 2012 Asus he repaired and fixed my software issues in one day. Geek squad was going to charge me 295.00 for both and some taxes Marc charged me 95 for both awesome job man thanks like always lots of friends and family members of mine are very satisfied with him thanks always

Terrible techs. One started working on my machine, then told me that the lag in my boot up was gone, which its not. Then I was called and told to come pick it up, however when I got there, a second tech was working on my computer saying he wasnt finished when tech 1 said to call me and was trying to mess around with driver settings and look for a PID, part identifier as he explains, because apparently software has part identifiers. A third "tech," actually its just some 16 year old kid was trying to tell me whatever it was he was told from his dad?, who I think is tech 2. After i took it home, mark, who is tech 1 that initially said to call me to pick it up, called me and said that he never authorized it to be sent home and that it had a hardware issue. A HARDWARE ISSUE??? Tech 2 said it was driver related. Do these guys even talk to each other before they work on peoples stuff? Now my machine is all sorts of retarded and I wouldnt be surprised if they tried to implement some kind of backdoor on my machine. The only reason I give them 1 star is because I cant give 0
