Sadly, so many churches are filled with "religious" people who do not know the love of God and tend to judge and condemn precious people who have given up their own lives to serve God and serve others. Rick and Cindy Godwin are two people who are called by God to raise up a church that connect people to God with straight from the bible teaching, that provokes us to connect with others to make a difference in this very lost and broken world. Rick and Cindy Godwin are not perfect, they are human beings that are poured out for others. Have they made mistakes? I am sure they have, have you? Thank God we all have forgiveness and the blood of Jesus to wash us clean. We will all be judged by God one day, in the meantime, why dont we just love each other, help and pray for one another when things are troubled, and pray for people. Lets stop tearing down those who do make a difference, and lift one another up, because it will be God who perfects us for his will and good purpose. Thank you Rick and Cindy for teaching my husand and I and our children over the last eighteen years that life is not easy, there will be trouble, but our hope comes from God, joy does come in the morning, and no weapon formed against those who love the Lord will ever prosper. Thank you for teaching us how to love others more than ourselves, and that I, my husband, and my children have a future and destiny that is good and not evil. Thank you for your many sacrifices, and standing strong under much persecution. Thank you for providing a church that loves God, loves His people, and raises up warriors for the KINGDOM OFGOD. This church is blessed and annointed. Come and taste, and enjoy a body of Christ that does not curse you for your past, but gives you a hug and help if you need it from HIS Word.Rick and Cindy Godwin have given more of themselves and their money to others than any man or woman I know. If Rick took a plane to fly to another church to speak and help more people then maybe he should have a plane. If he took a plane trip for him and Cindy to have a little break, then I am happy to help pay for it. Broken relationships come from the heart, and our God is a God of reconciliation and restoratiion, the Word says it and Rick and Cindy teach it. I love you Rick and Cindy, I committed to you and this church years ago, and I am still standing and full of the grace and wisdom that you have taught me to seek from Gods Word, not man. I will continue to grow in this church, and so will my family; and I hope you come and find your destiny in God to this church that is blessed and annointed and does not pull any punches about who God is and who you are in HIM. I LOVE SUMMIT CHRISTIAN CENTER, AND SO WILL YOU- COME! Patricia N.

I would like to say Ive attended a few churches in my lifetime. Always seeking to draw closer to God. Let my life be driven by faith that God has a plan for me. From the first time I came to summit I felt like I belonged. Hearing pastor Rick speak was awsome. Bold and passionate about what he was talking about. I felt inspired by his words. But little did I know it was the holy spirit talking to me through pastor Rick. You see he is a vessel being used by God to share the word and draw people to faith. Their will always be evil in this world trying to take away from the glory of God. So just stay away from those people that have negative things to say and are lost and miserable people anyway . A place thats main mission is to make you understand that the lord Jesus Christ died for you and bared your sin and all you have to do is receive His grace is pretty awsome. Come as you are nobody is perfect but we all need soul food in our lives. We all need direction in our out of control lives. The leaders of this ministry could be successful doing many other things but they have chosen to be shepherds for the lord and care for the lost sheep that need to hear the good news. All I can say is this church is a blessing and I highly recommend you to visit. And you will feel better than you did when you came in. I know I do and thank God for summit. I am just a man passing through life on earth for a short while. I want my soul to rejoice for eternity.

Hello, my name is Louis ViVenzio, also known as Louis, and the prayer captain, my wifes name is Dede. We have been attending Sandy Ross"s is class on Tues. mornings, WOW, what a blessed, favored and miracle meeting that is...Sandy is in a class of her own, and a very classy lady, we have been so blessed by her that we decided to visit Summit Christian Center. I will never forget the fisrt time Cindy Godwin walked up to me and said, hello Mr V. , one of those unforgettable moments. Since we had never met before. We know God wanted us to move from the church we were attending, a great chruch, but, when God tugs at you, you know it is time to move on. So, Dede and I prayed about it, and last Sunday we joined Summit Christian Center. I know God has us there for a purpose, so, again we are praying for His lead. We are prayiing for Rick and Cindy and for the church. The first time we attended God showed me that He is going to create a revival in Rick, the sheep (th body of Christ) and then we will take it out to the community. There are very exciting times ahead for Summit, join Dede and i in praying for this Revival... God bless you, and rermember, You are Very Blessed, Highly Favored and surrounded by Miracles, in Jesus name, amen Jesus Saves!

I used to think this was the church for our family but we are very turned off that for the most part they do not seem to like young children sitting with you during sermon. Even the slightest sound from your child and before you know it ushers will look your way and ask you to leave. This has been very disappointing as I thought this was a good church otherwise. Not everyone likes to put their child in nursery and some of us like our children to experience worship as a family and from a young age. One suggestion to the church would be to put up flat screen TVA in the cafe or random spots where there are tables and chairs ( there is plenty of space and likely have the funds based on the facilities) Where we could at least watch the sermon with our little ones and not bother anyone. Our last church ( trinity fellowship in amarillo) did this and it was by far the best church we have ever been to. I also notice that this church never fills up - even on major Sundays.. I wonder if they are driving people away.

There are a lot of good people at this church. The praise and worship is great and Rick Godwin does have a gift for delivering a good message, unfortunately the Godwin’s (Rick and Cindy) practice a style of Christian leadership that is simply unhealthy. At worst it is overly self serving, at times paranoid, and generally void of the “Fruit of the Spirit.” Beyond the scandal over how Rick was using church funds for his own luxuries (Google for the full story), including flying himself on a private jet with the church’s “mission” funds (10% of the collections), the leadership has a long history of damaged relationships.
