We rented the large retail spot (at the spring location) from July 2007 ~ October 2009. For over two years we rented here. We had a great relationship with both resident managers and staff. Upon our move out we spent days detail cleaning the space, & on our final day we did a walkthrough with Donna (the Location manager) who cleared us and stated the space looked great! Over 30 days elapsed and still no returned deposit check as stated in our lease. We started calling the Fry road location (where the checks come out of) asking what was the problem with our deposit check. Susan the fry road manager informed us that Andrew Gregory (the owner) needed to still look at the space, that was news to us as we were under the impression we were cleared! Aa week later we finally decided to contact Mr. Gregory directly. Upon contacting Mr. Gregory we were informed that the location managers do not have the authority to do walkthroughs and clear tenants that only he himself could do that. Mr. Gregory also informed us that although he did not physically do a walkthrough himself he would be charging us for several ceiling tiles that his A/C unit & roof leaked on. Mr. gregory also stated he would also be replacing at our expense several pieces of sheet metal in the "wharehouse" area that were not in "Mint Condition". Mr. Gregory expected that after over two years of tenacy the spot would be left in *BRAND NEW* condition. Luckily we took pictures and video of our spot because it looks like he is not going to do the right thing and return our deposit. When we asked if we were going to have to take him to court to get our deposit back Mr. Gregory stated "I rather enjoy going to court" which makes sense as Mr. Gregory is a business lawyer with all the negative connoctations that has. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE ~ Think long and hard about doing business with any of the Community locations. More updates to follow

I just moved to Austin from Houston and I picked up our U-Haul truck from this location. Brookie was the sales associate I booked the truck with over the phone. I actually work in self storage myself, but our trucks can only be used for local moves so I had to rent a U-Haul truck for my job transfer. Brookie was absolutely wonderful! Not only did I book the truck with her via phone, but she was working the morning I went to pick it up. She was very informative, very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. She smiled the whole time and recommended drop off locations for us for our U-Haul. She rented us a fabulous truck. I would definitely rent another truck from this location. We also drove around the property and I could tell it was very clean and well kept. Excellent job!

I think its a great place to storage your belongs & rent a UHaul, but I dont like the fact that its not a 24 hour access facility & the gate locks you in. I think the employees need to explain or put signs up stating when the gate will lock. Its not fair if you get locked in & have to find a ride home. They definitely need a after hour number to contact for lock in or after hour emergencies. Overall great place but getting locked in because the gate locks itself after a certain isnt cool
